During an erupted armed conflict between the People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) in al-Hasakah, the YPG managed to advance on positions of the NDF on the city center.
An armed conflict between the People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the predominantly Arab National Defense Forces (NDF) broke out with a renewed vigor in the Syrian city of al-Hasakah.
In the western and eastern regions of al-Nashwa, the YPG advanced on positions of the NDF in an attempt to take control of the area east to al-Nashwa. On the other side, the YPG was fighting for the bus station in the center of al-Hasakah in order to restore control over the main road that runs through the city.
According to reports, in the city center, armed forces were using only light artillery and in parts of al-Nashwa the infantry was getting help from tanks.
Very important events are currently taking place in eastern Syria that no doubt will have a strategic importance to the future balance of power in the country. Meanwhile, the second largest international Russian news agency failed to find whom fighting whom in Hasakah.
