….I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. I will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week.

On September 10, US President Donald Trump said goodbye to his hawkish national security adviser John Bolton.
Bolton was one of the US President’s most hawkish foreign policy advisers and a key player in the administration’s “maximum pressure” campaign against Iran. Besides this, Bolton was a hardliner towards China, Venezuela, North Korea and Syria.
I offered to resign last night and President Trump said, “Let’s talk about it tomorrow.”

Earlier, MSM speculated that the main role of Bolton in Trump’s administration was to strengthen teh US negotiating position by showing that there is a strong ‘let’s make a war’ position in the US administration.
