Yemeni forces recapture a mountaintop from Saudi forces in Ta’iz

On Saturday morning, after a fierce battle with the Saudi-led Coalition forces, the Yemeni Army and Houthis have taken full control of Jabal Al-Shubkah in the Ta’iz Governorate. It is also reported that a large number of Saudi-led Coalition soldiers and mercenaries were killed during the battle.

A local Yemeni army source reported that Jabal Al-Shubkah which is located in one of the volatile areas of Thubab District of the Ta’iz Governorate was captured by Yemeni forces from the Saudi-led Coalition and their foreign mercenaries.

Since the Saudi aggression began in March 2015, at least 8,278 people including 2,236 children have been killed and 16,015 others injured. Saudi airstrikes have also taken a heavy toll on the country’s facilities and infrastructure, destroying many hospitals, schools, and factories.
