Wesley Clark is a retired American general and former commander in Chief of NATO for Europe. In yesterdays talk for CNN he said some things regarding the downing of Russian military airplane Su-24 and said some things that can’t be heard in public. Clark talked about the relationship between Turkey and ISIS, or to be more precise, about the support terrorists are receiving from Turkey.
He said how ISIS is not just terrorist organization, but also Sunni terrorist organization that is attacking Shia, and thus helping Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, he said how Turkey is allowing militants to cross its territory, and how it is obvious that Turkey is buying ISIS oil. The only difference between his speech and Putin’s is that he also accused Putin that he is “also supporting terrorists” and how there are “no good guys” in this conflict.
But, what he said about Turkey is very important. Of course, he is able to say this because he is retired official, but we can conclude that many current officials are thinking the same. American vice-president Joe Biden, also said the same thing in last October, but later gave up on such statements.
