War In Ukraine Day 62: Armed Forces of Ukraine Suffer Losses. Russian Units Continue Their Offensive

On 26 April and the morning of 27 April, fighting continued on all fronts in Ukraine with the exception of the blockaded Azovstal plant in Mariupol.

The Russian Armed Forces continued targeting military infrastructure and transport hubs in Ukraine. Although the AFU, in turn, intensified strikes on facilities located directly on Russian territory, the Russian Armed Forces did not attack “decision-making centres”. Earlier, the Russian Armed Forces stated that they would take such actions if the AFU continued strikes on facilities located in Russian cities.

The Russian Defence Ministry has reported that a fortified area of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Mykolayiv Region has been destroyed.

The positions of the Ukrainian units had an extensive network of trenches and equipped firing points.

The Russian Defence Ministry said that Ukrainian servicemen were asked to lay down their arms. Furthermore, those who did not voluntarily lay down their arms were destroyed by artillery fire.

While retreating, the Ukrainian soldiers left small arms, ammunition and over 30 dead servicemen in their positions.

On 26 April, DNR artillery successfully hit AFU positions in the Donetsk direction.

The DPR units seized several fortified positions of the Ukrainian armed forces near Avdiivka, outside Donetsk. Significant losses have been reported in the Ukrainian armed forces.

On 26 April, Zavody, Zarechnoye and the outskirts of Yampol came under Russian control in the Izyum-Slavonic direction. The information was confirmed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff.

The AFU positions in the Zavody settlement prevented the Russian Armed Forces to advance to Velyka Kamyshevaha. The path is now free. On the morning of 27 April, the advance of the Russian Federation and D/LPR units in the area continued.

On 26 April, the Ukrainian armed forces attempted a counterattack in Rubizhne and Novotoshkivske. The attempt was unsuccessful, the Ukrainian Armed Forces retreated with losses in manpower and equipment.

On 26 April, a group of servicemen from the AFU’s 79th Detached Brigade Combat Team surrendered near Yampil. They surrendered weapons and military equipment.

Columns of heavy military vehicles of the Russian Armed Forces move towards the front.

The offensive in the area of Yampol demonstrates that the TVD is systematically moving directly into the territory of the Slovyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration.

The blockade of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol continues. The Russian Armed Forces have no active combat operations over there.

An aerial photo of the plant with the exact coordinates of the bunkers where the remaining Azov regiment fighters are hiding has been circulated on the Internet.

On the morning of 27 April, a second strike was carried out on a railway bridge in Zatoka, Odessa region, Ukraine, which had already sustained damage from the first strike yesterday.

On the morning of 27 April, an AFU Bairaktar UAV was shot down over Kursk Region, Russia.

War In Ukraine Day 62: Armed Forces of Ukraine Suffer Losses. Russian Units Continue Their Offensive

Over the Russian city of Voronezh, the air defence system was also activated several times.

This morning in the skies near Voronezh, the air defence system detected and successfully destroyed a small reconnaissance UAV. I have the situation under my personal control. There is no threat to the life and health of the region’s residents”, said the Governor of the Voronezh Region, Alexander Gusev.

The video below captured the moment the UAV was hit by a Russian missile in Voronezh.

In Belgorod, a Russian Armed Forces ammunition depot was also struck, apparently using a Bairaktar UAV.

Two Russians with Ukrainian Nazi ideology detained in Belgorod, Russia, while preparing to sabotage a transport facility.

On the night of 27 April, a sabotage by a Ukrainian reconnaissance group was prevented in Transnistria, near the village of Colbasna, where large ammunition and weapons storage facilities are located. Several grenades exploded near the military depots as a result of gunfire contact.

Russian Defence Ministry reports that high-precision long-range sea-launched Kalibr missiles destroyed hangars with a large batch of foreign weapons and ammunition supplied by the US and European countries to Ukrainian troops at the Zaporizhzhya aluminium plant.

Russian air defence forces shot down 18 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near the villages of Aleksandrovka, Balakleya, Bryanka, Zaporizhske, Izyum, Kapitolovka, Peremoga, Petrovka, Popasne, Proletarske and Trudolyubovka, including two Bayraktar-TB2 UAVs near the villages of Kolesnikovka and Krasny Liman. In addition, a Ukrainian Tochka-U tactical missile was shot down over the village of Illichivka.

According to the Russian Defence Ministry, the AFU lost 284 people killed, wounded and prisoners of war in 24 hours. The total losses of dead, wounded and prisoners in the AFU, NGU and PSCs exceeded 45,000.

According to the report of the General Staff of the AFU, it has lost four tanks, six armoured vehicles, nine field artillery guns and mortars, four long- and medium-range air defence systems, two short-range air defence systems, 21 vehicles and special equipment and 22 UAVs.

There are reports from various sources that 3,000 militants of the Turkish far-right organisation Grey Wolves have been transferred to Ukraine.

The arrival of 3,000 Grey Wolves at the Ukrainian-Polish border was first reported about ten days ago, but it has only now become known that they have already been moved to the Kharkiv and Odessa-Mykolaiv directions (three squads of 1,000 fighters each have been deployed). Convoys with Turkish fighters were passing through Zhmerenka – along with heavy equipment and artillery.

Apparently, these units are planned to be used for counterstrikes near Kharkiv and Mykolaiv or for an attack on Transnistria.

Foreign fighters and soldiers from NATO regular units are increasingly replacing exsanguinated Ukrainian army units on the front lines.

The photo below shows a Finnish mercenary unit in Kharkiv.

War In Ukraine Day 62: Armed Forces of Ukraine Suffer Losses. Russian Units Continue Their Offensive

The conflict is slowly but steadily moving into the phase of full-scale war between Russia and NATO.

As much as SF readers want Russia to win, they are sorely mistaken. They may win the battle in Ukraine but that’s just the small picture. US will still dominate economically in the future and will inflict long term damage to Russia economically and militarily. Ukraine is just a cannon fodder and will continue to bleed them for years to come.

While it is true that Putin/Russia are acting defensively due to NATO’s slow approach to their border, that doesn’t mean they will win. Understand that.

Hey

You need to understands how American economy works, before making assertations that someone else needs to unsderstand something. By predictions of CIA and the Central bank of USA, in best case scenario US economy will be 4th in the world nominally by 2045(which is not a real measure of economic growth, in more real measure which is price parity, US will be below 7th place) Behind even India. USA is falling behind in high tech each day, and when the end the of silicon based chips comes, the end of USA economy will come. And the end of silicon is 2nm. After that, humanity moves to carbon and organic semiconductors, where US research is not even in start, while asia already has working prototypes. USA economy revolves around silicon chips and high tech, and the end of that is near, understand that.

Thanks for always posting some sense, many of the trolls here have drank way too much of the Kool-Aid and have a very convoluted understanding of how their own economies function. I actually had to tell some moron troll earlier that claims he works in the petrochemical industry that natural gas prices would spike today.. It’s all so tiresome. Sincere thanks to whoever runs Intel Slava for the timely information as well, I just made a couple thousand off European tears and raging.

And mother of all evil is the GDP. Growth base economic model. We’ve been told that every year we need 5% bigger TV, 5% faster car, 5% shinier shoes. If we don’t grow 5% then we’ll die, we were told. In last, say X years, we grew so much, but at current pace we will be never grown. We have far bigger buying power but less leisure time. Far better education but are we any smarter. Far better healthcare (for some) but we all going to die anyway. I want to be grown. I don’t want to grow anymore. Look at some 50 or 100 years old movies. Are we any happier now?

Bottom line is that this war is about money and keep the GDP happy

ATLGA

Yes, and the ironic part is the consumer based society has just fueled China’s rise since shareholder economics took over. Where were government officials when all the manufacturing was getting off-shored? Complicit in the theft from the people, as usual. It’s truly an idiocracy at this point, while there are still reputable math and science programs in America the Woke ideology has already taken hold in their educational institutions and the youth are all obsessed with social media and drugs. This along with the significant and inflated costs of education(college football coaches are the highest paid public employees, LOL! Pass me the Bud Light!) there will be the unraveling of their tech industry, I’m not the biggest Elon Musk fan but I did get a few chuckles out of seeing Twitter’s top lawyer cry about his takeover in a meeting with her team.

Last edited 11 months ago by ATLGA
KL247

Where does the Woke ideology come from? What are its academic origins, if any?

ATLGA

It’s a mangled evolution of the true American Civil Rights movement that was quashed by the US government and hijacked by corporate media, it’s a trendy way to keep the wage slaves churning the wheel while pretending the people aren’t in a total slumber to how they’re being robbed. It’s similar to how the media is portraying the Ukraine conflict, “look here and Russia is bad but please don’t look over there at the real sources of your problems, we might have some real problems.”

“I just want to do God’s will. And He’s allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I’ve looked over. And I’ve seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land! And so I’m happy tonight, I’m not worried about anything, I’m not fearing any man! Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord!” – MLK, assassinated 24 hours later by an FBI patsy.

The black communities were then fed drugs and propaganda for decades, the oligarchs of the US only see them as useful for dancin’, coonin’, and hollerin’. An empowered and educated black demographic is extremely dangerous to the US government. Wokeness somehow got to it’s current form from there – forget faith, family values, and hard work. You probably won’t find any academic basis behind this form of it, just makes the corporate overlords feel cool pretending to stand up for working and historically oppressed peoples while they loot America and trash her communities. The braindead zombies lap it up from there like a kitten with milk and we get cancel culture, remove math from schools, LGBT policies, drug legalization, whatever they are pushing these days.

LOL

All those pot smoking hippies from the 60’s are all in government now.

But they are winning and this is why you can hear western officials scream like autistic small children, they have tried to destroy Russia economially and failed and now the sanctions boomerang right back at them and Russia has not even introduced counter sanctions. Battle on the ground is going very bad for them once the russians understood that the elite of ukraine wont support them like it was promissed they pulled back from kiev and are slowly grinding ukranian army with minimal loss in Donbass, onece that part is done, there will be no army left, low morale of ukranians and panic in the west. Ukraine will be devided into parts. Now the reason why it is taking so long in Ukraine is because Russia wants to capture ukraine instead of destroying, other nato states can be just destroyed russians don’t care about those. Also i see a split coming in Nato, it might collapse as an organization soon. Not everyone supports warmongering of US and UK

Annon5528

Western officials contradict themselves 24/7 and not to be trusted. Yes, these sanctions will have counter effect on them but they can withstand it, not sure about Russia in the next few years.

Tom Bombastadillo

Russia has the natural resources, and in big wars that is usually what determines who wins. See WW2: Germany and Japan were choked off from access to badly needed natural resources, and lost.

KL247

They can withstand it? How? With what savings? Or you mean by just printing ever more money?

Harvard Dropout

LOL, the Fed wasn’t even consulted, regarding the initiation of Russian sanctions. That means they have played their part, hyperinflation is baked into the cake already, and they are gonna be set up as fall guys to protect someone slightly higher up the chain.

Read ‘Project for the New American Century’ and see how the neocons hope to keep the Fed intact. It’ll blow your mind.

The US decided that Ukraine was Russia’s soft underbelly, while letting their own overgrown belly of mounting deficits hang out over their belts bigger and grosser with every year. Belt-tightening at this stage won’t do anything but cause a cascade of guts. America’s hubris is just mind-boggling.

The US and the EU … Nazi NATO are going to lose WW 3 it will be by the finger of God. It’s all over the Bible. The vast majority of human beings are entirely ignorant of the Bible, the churches are corrupt, child sex slavery, rape, murder and cannibalism are rampant among the super rich, gays lesbians and tranny’s are standing in the pulpits of the churches and preaching wickedness and the congregations love it. Jesus is on this planet with his destroying Angel’s, they are here for but one reason the overthrow of this entire planet. The Angel’s are the same ones that destroyed Sodom Gomorrah Admah Zeboim and Zoar. The UN will be wiped from the face of this earth. Once WW 3 starts it will not end until every wicked impenitent person on this planet is dead.

Ulf the persistent

The USA has an inflation problem caused by printing money. That was even before the Ukraine war caused a spike in commodity prices. The Fed has to raise interest rates to fight inflation. A 2% increase in interest rates means 100% of US taxes goes to pay their debt. The choice is raise taxes substantially or allow inflation to run rampant.

On top of that the USA printed money on the assumption that the USD would remain the petrodollar. Sorry to say the largest energy producer in the world no longer accepts the USD for their oil and the second biggest … Saudi Arabia … is in negotiations to sell oil in yuan to the biggest buyer of oil in China.

What this means for the USA is weakening demand for the USD which in turn means Americans can buy less for their USD or to put it another way inflation increases.

Russia is commodity rich … the ruble is now pegged to Russian commodities so as long as demand for commodities remains strong the ruble remains strong. The USD’s strength depends on demand for it as a reserve currency which is eroding fast.

t s

US interest rates with inflation will mimic Russian interest rates for the average soul by the end of this fiasco.

Harvard Dropout

That’s exactly right. Basically, they relied on a ponzi scheme to keep the country afloat, borrowing new money every year on the basis of a dominant petrodollar. Right now, Washington;s standing at the top of a slippery slope, that’s why they’re all in on this war, because they know what awaits the country if this unipolar, dollar as world’s reserve currency, confabulation starts to lose ground.

What's Up

With the western powers sending “foreign mercs” into this conflict, its not your average citizen groups either. I hope Europe and the USA are ready for EMP bombs and a down power grid. Just remember “Nobody wins in a nuclear war.”

7even-N-6

Ok everybody we have Annon here the prestigious military analyst with over 3 weeks of trolling experience here to tell us why Russia isn’t going to win even though Russia with 190 thousand troops completely subjugated a nation of 44 million people, took complete control of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea and completely annihalated Ukraine’s navy and air force in about 2 hours.

Hunter

Yep, any day now – the ruble will be 40000 to the dollar. Dad said so. It would’ve happened already but I’m still looking for my laptop and dad’s still looking for the door.

Disinfo

The US is thrashing around like the dying empire it is. It owes 33 trillion as its national debt and imports 3 times the products it exports (minus weapons to it proxy wars). Regardless of the outcome of this proxy war, the US will end up weaker and the civilian population will like with a ruined economy. Its real enemy is China, and the US President appears to be in their pocket.

Martin Rapavý

Actually, you are wrong. China already dominates economically. The damage to Russia in the long-term will subside, not intensify with passing time.

But most importantly, the massive unilateral coercive actions (not sanctions!) adopted in the West will hugely damage its standing and reputation. And from there, the the downfall of the West is inevitable.

And that will be just due to external factors, not to mention possible internal riots in the West and its sundering into the ruling and the ruled.

Johan

Even if Ukraine losses the war, there will be no relieve for Russia, not economical, not military the responsible and war criminals will be hunted down with every thing we have.

Nitupsar

We need to see more interviews with Ukrainian/Azov-batallion soldiers explaining how well they are treated when they surrender to Russian forces. Please subtext these interviews in English. The AFU soldiers should also be given the opportunity to recommend that their fellow soldiers surrender and thereby save their lives.

That’s gonna be a delicacy for Kadjirov Chechens and IRG.

Tears in my eyes just thinking about it

I really warmed up to the Chechens after I saw that vid of one describing how a mother with her child were running across the square and the mother was shot by Azov and the child just stood there bewildered, then was shot in the head by Azov. The Chechen was practically in tears that he couldn’t help, then they stormed Azov and even took losses because they were that moved by the scene and just were driven to mete out justice.

If that was propaganda (from the best actor in the world), then it sure as hell did its job on me.

What Russia needs is new leadership. Putin and his leaderships made many blunders in Syria and now in UA. No army can win, when you have incompetent leaderships and Military General Command. When you appoint people based on close relation and not based on qualification, than you have garbage.

As example, there have been very foolish take Chernobyl and go to Kiev, than give up. Russia military will be better off take the portion of UA South West from Odessa. Border with Moldavia and Romania. This will cut off NATO supply route and Odessa could be approach from East and West, plus access to Moldova. Strategically this was more valuable then Chernobyl. Furthermore, taking Kharkov will be more better, than send solders to Chernobyl and Kiev.

The Russian military impotence is largely now reckoned all over the world even among us who 2 months ago were guessing that this will be relatively short victorious Russian operation. 63 days fighting and results quite pathetic: Mariupol almost totally destroyed, 30-50 miles penetration in Donbas, but huge economic and political damage to Russia itself. Its oil industry 50% kicked out from Europe and EU fastening the change from hydrocarbons to renewable energy and/or from Russia to other exporters. Russians can sing like Millwall football fans: “nobody likes us but we don’t care”. But when money flow stopps then they will feel how Devil bite their ass. remind that ukraine is not only the biggest country in europe, also with the largest ground forces heawy weaponry in europe. thousands of tanks, ifcs, afvs, artillery aso. russia destroys till now ukrainian 100% navy, 90% airforce, 70% air defence, 50% ground forces heawy armament. not bad after only 8 weeks.

only due to the mRNA shots will the need for oil and gas go down in the EU

That’s what Putin gets for not wiping out the ne0 nahtzees with it’s thermobarics like they did in Chechnya.

Why is russian high command being retarded and not striking kiev “decision making” centres?

Because the decisions are being made in the US. Zelenskey is a puppet who is not even in Kiev, he’s been in Poland since the start of the war. The Ukrainian military is in shambles and sadly those young soldiers are being slaughtered senselessly. I also think Russia is trying to minimize damage to Kiev so as to not cause unnecessary suffering to civilians. Russia is firmly in control and if things were to get out of hand I’m sure Russia would act decisively and cut off electricity, water, internet and gas to Kiev but I don’t think that will be necessary. Now if Ukraine continues to attack cities inside Russia then Russia might be left with no choice but to begin to destroy Kiev’s infrastructure.

The U.S. and it’s debt based financial system is on the verge of collapse and is the reason for desperation in the west for this war. You can only paper over a debt problem with more debt so many times. The world is transitioning to an asset based financial system and Russia is a treasure trove of resources the world needs. The West wants Putin gone and another incompetent Yeltsin puppet in to allow the pillaging of Russia as was done after the fall of the USSR.

US and Natostan are not working out so well with sanctions and in fact Europe is taking a beating with their decision with the US.

Ukraine is being humiliated

Lost Crimea, Kherson, Mariupol. Lost most of Donbass. Their remaning forces are surrounded, immobilized, running out of supplies. GDP is 40% down already, while Russian Ruble is stronger than ever. Their airports are fucked, their military industry is destroyed. Lost access to the Azov sea, will lose access to the black sea soon. Their women escaped to Europe, while their men are shredding their blood for that american puppet jew. Receiving unlimited military aid from NATO and still losing to Russia.

Don’t those chinks own 3/4 of Toronto? I wonder if they’re the ones that forced you into a trailer after driving up the housing market.

‘According to the report of the General Staff of the AFU, it has lost four tanks, six armoured vehicles, nine field artillery guns and mortars, four long- and medium-range air defence systems, two short-range air defence systems, 21 vehicles and special equipment and 22 UAVs.’

I’m guessing that this is in the last 24 hours. The AFU has always been sketchy when announcing combat losses.

‘Foreign fighters and soldiers from NATO regular units are increasingly replacing exsanguinated Ukrainian army units on the front lines. The conflict is slowly but steadily moving into the phase of full-scale war between Russia and NATO.’

I’m sure that every military expert in this world knows that Ukraine is done militarily. They have already lost this war. This war is now moving towards and will more openly be fought by NATO using just the name ‘Ukraine’ as a camouflage.

The announcement from Ukraine that their forces have transitioned to NATO weaponry is not a surprise at all. If you look at it from a knowledgeable perspective, Ukraine doesn’t know how to use all NATO weaponry, I’m sure they know how to use some, but not all, including heavy and complicated ones.

So, you should ask a question – how can they transition to using weapons that they are not all familiar with?

It is evident that NATO forces will be entering in to use those weapons. This is surely escalating.

Only an idiot doesn’t know that it is the US and NATO attacking Russian territories and ships. Ukraine on it’s own cannot do this. There capability to do such attacks have seriously been degraded by weeks of systematic destruction of their land, air and see assets.

Since during the Cold war and up to the present times, US either directly or through weapon supply to Soviets or Russian adversaries have killed over 100,000 Russians. And this is not a secret. US even brags about it and don’t hide ill feelings and vile words towards Russia.

So, what will Russia do about all these. What Russia does best is what they are known to do – pretend that they don’t know who is attacking her. This weakness is very well known by US and that’s why the attacks will continue and be intensified deeper and deeper into Russian territory.

Russia, unfortunately disappoints and disappoints heavily. To the very least, Russia must let the gloves off and start attacking all vital infrastructures of Ukraine including government buildings, military schools, academies railway depots, vital roads etc. etc.

Over 300 billion dollars of their money has been frozen, part of which will now be used for Ukraine purposes. So the gloves should be off and make sure she achieved all her aims in Ukraine.

If they want to demilitarize and denazify, they better start being serious.

Russia disposes of new weapons of America and the EU. How will they fight with us when the Ukrainian army ends?
