Carrier strike group (CSG) is an operational formation of the United States Navy. It is centered on an aircraft carrier and a carrier air wing (CVW) of 65 to 70 aircrafts. It’s composed of roughly 7,500 personnel, an aircraft carrier, at least one cruiser, a destroyer squadron of at least two destroyers and/or frigates. A carrier strike group also, on occasion, includes submarines, attached logistics ships and a supply ship. Carrier strike groups comprise a principal element of U.S. power projection over the world’s oceans.

ONE S-500 WOULD SORT THEM OUT PUT THEM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA

It’s not like I would feel bad with US Navy ships lying in the bottom of the ocean, but S500 is an air defence system, not an anti ship one.

I AM NOT AN EXPERT ONE NUKE THEN THAT SHOULD DO IT

You’re obviously not an expert on anything. So why are you reading military tech sites? TMZ is more for you. There you can read what Bieber had for breakfast, what is Kim Kardashian doing and a location of Paris Hilton.

You’re a complete ignoramus. First of all S-500 is a surface to air system. Second S-500 is years from operational deployment Russians still haven’t mastered a hit to kill technology that’s been operational on US anti ballistic systems like THAAD and SM-3 missile within Aegis for over 10 years. Stick to commenting Kim Kardashian ass, military technology is obviously not your forte
      P. S. You do realise that US is a nuclear powerhouse? One nuke on a carrier strike group and Moscow burns in a thermonuclear hell. Take a hike.
