Units of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have detained 7 alleged ISIS members in the Syrian province of Deir Ezzor. The terrorists were reportedly detained during a raid in the village of Ash-Shahil, on the eastern bank of the Euphrates. The SDF seized a number of weapons on the site of the operation.
Seveeral hour slater, positions of the SDF in the town of Jadid Akidat came under fire from light and medium weapons. The SDF did not identify the attackers, but the attack was likely conducted by the ISIS cells operating in the area.
