U.S. Plans To Deploy Special Forces Troops, Weapons Close To Venezulean Border: Russian Foreign Ministry

A US-insitgated large-scale provocation is expected to take place on the Venezuelan border, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned in a statement.

According to the statement, US plans to deliver humanitarian aid to Venezuela could lead to clashes and would create a convenient pretext for a military action in the country.

The development of events in Venezuela has come to a critical point, everyone understands this. On 23 February, a dangerous large-scale provocation is set to take place, instigated by the Washington-led crossing of the Venezuelan border with a so-called humanitarian convoy, which may lead to clashes between supporters and opponents, forming a convenient pretext for military action to remove the current legitimate president from government“, Zakharova said.

She added that Russia has info that the US is planning  to deploy special forces troops and weapons close to the Venezuelan border.

“We have evidence that US companies and their NATO allies are working on the issue of acquiring a large batch of weapons and ammunition in an Eastern European country for their subsequent transfer to Venezuelan opposition forces”, Zakharova stressed.

She pointed out that there is also a Ukrainian trace in the plan to instigate the conflict.

“There is also a Ukrainian trace in this brazen plan. In particular, it is going to involve the Antonov state company, as far as we understand,” she stressed.

The so-called humantiarian convoy is expected to make an attempt to enter Venezuela on February 23. The situation is developing.

  1. Fitzhenrymac says:

Last time there was this much hoo-ha about an aid shipment, it was a famine in Africa. Remember Live-Aid. A cargo aircraft from the US was sent with medical supplies. Aid agencies rounded up dozens of trucks and drove hundreds of miles to the nearest airfield only to find a planeload of out-of-date eye wash.

It begs the question, what is in those aide packages? Toilet paper?

    1. Carlos Correia says:

youtube.com/watch?v=mbXqGiNlWWw toilet paper? more like cartel like sanctions against an independed country,,, this is meddling

      1. Fitzhenrymac says:

        Thanks Carlos.

      2. FlorianGeyer says:

‘Let them eat toothpaste’ Donald Trump.

    2. kittie says:

      when was this?

      1. Fitzhenrymac says:

1984/85. In that case the famine was real but exacerbated by the same usual suspects trying to effect ‘regime change’ in a socialist country which geologists confirmed 4 years before had oil and gas reserves at least as large as the whole Middle East. The link below shows how reporting on Venezuela is a repetition of that on Ethiopia nearly 40 years ago.

        1. kittie says:

sorry, i was born in 1982 and was relatively unaware of anything having to do with the african continent other than the slave trade from 1700’s to the early 19th century, the rwandan conflict, and the polio vaccine trials. thanks now i have something to look up :) :)

          1. Fitzhenrymac says:

It’s good to see someone who wants to research history rather than just believing propaganda. I wish everyone was like you.

        2. RichardD says:

“in a socialist country which geologists confirmed 4 years before had oil and gas reserves at least as large as the whole Middle East.”

That’s a mighty big claim. Do you have any links?

          1. Fitzhenrymac says:

Yes, I should have been more specific. They are estimates, not proven. https://allaboutethio.com/petroleum-in-ethiopia-oil-gas-exploration-extraction.html

    3. Rob says:

These US special forces would be called Venezuelans oppositions, moderate rebels and ISIS etc etc.

    4. Bill Wilson says:

      You’re full of shit.

      1. Fitzhenrymac says:

For one whose vocabulary is full of the word ‘shit’, I’d say you should remember the old saying about the pot calling the kettle black. Juvenile language does not further our understanding of important world issues.

  2. jm74 says:

This is of concern because one wonders what the Russian and Chinese plan to do to protect Venezuela, it sure doesn’t look to good for Venezuela. North Korea will be watching this also and would be concerned especially if they have to rely upon Russia and China for protection. One would have thought that China would have called an emergency meeting with the UN.

    1. Promitheas Apollonious says:

Stop wondering. the russians and chinese are not sending armies in venezuela. Unless venezuela is betrayed from within, nothing can attack her and walk away alive. venezuela is not syria.

      1. Jesus says:

Russia and China have a number of “specialists” in Venezuela overseeing the military aspects of the matter, Russian proxy that will have significant presence on the ground against US SOF are the Cuban special forces. Cuban presence in Venezuela numbers north of 15,000 augmenting Maduro’s armed forces.
The Russians in Venezuela will assist the readiness of Russian equipment deployed by the Venezuelan armed forces.

      2. Bill Wilson says:

The Venezuelan military is fucking worthless against trained modern militaries. They’re lucky to beat up on malnourished civilians. The Chinese are smart by being quiet while watching Maduro circle the drain. The Russians are making fools of themselves as usual.

  3. peter mcloughlin says:

The US has considered South and Central America its own backyard since the early 19th century. A proposed military alliance between Germany and Mexico in the First World War was a factor in bringing the United States into the war. Today, Washington should tread warily. It runs the risk of unleashing a Latin American Spring, which could undermine the very interests it seeks to protect. Already the two biggest players in the region, Brazil and Mexico, are lining up on opposing sides. It could cause a migration problem of biblical proportions. The Arab Spring has been a disaster for the Middle East – and Europe. We are already on the brink of another world war. We are not listening to the warnings from history.

    1. Bill Wilson says:

Mexico can give a rat’s ass about Maduro.

  4. Bob says:

Create a contrived ‘humanitarian aid crisis’ – ie, pretext for yet another ‘humanitarian intervention’ military attack, on another non-US-compliant sovereign nation, that otherwise presents absolutely no imminent threat to US mainland or its vital interests. Neo-Con’s gotta get around those pesky International Laws somehow – to facilitate their unilateral aggression.

  5. Carlos Correia says:

easy, Russia sink does ships in international waters using the new drone torpedo… and blame climate change agenda

  6. Rafik Chauhan says:

Russia and china should deploy few hundreds force of their on the border that’s all . US will do nothing neither the opposition.IF US proxies to attack venzeula installation then Russia and china should support and send venzulean force to carry out special operation inside Columbia.

  7. Sinbad2 says:

Well it seems the Americans are already there, they killed a bunch of indigenous tribesmen and have blamed it on the Venezuelan army.
The Americans are easy to spot, they always follow the same plan, staged demonstrations, followed by snipers who always shoot women and children.

    1. Fitzhenrymac says:

Yes, I was waiting for it. Washington is so predictable. Sadly, I’m sure those who were shot weren’t volunteers in that part of the make Maduro look bad campaign.

  8. verner says:

as long as they stay in columbia, invited by the columbian government, nothing much to do. however the mere fact that the morons are there, if actually so, is a negative since the morons over the last 70 years haven’t been able to chalk one victory and is somewhat desperate to do so in their ‘own’ backyard.

what a pathetic pack if murdering thieves they are, the morons.

  9. Joe Kerr says:

Zionist filth monger Elliot Abrams’ arrival in Colombia, Talmud in hand, is the surest sign yet of what the U.S. has planned. Wherever he goes, copious violence and rivers of blood follow.

  10. Andrei says:

Let them enter Venezuela.. is a big country Americans will die like Rats for a puppet governmen for mineral resources.. America is mean death country Where are going they only bring death behind them

    1. roger temple says:

The pity is that thousands of venezuelans will die. Americans will also die, but that is of no importance.

    2. Sinbad2 says:

They will bomb Caracas back to the stone age, torture and kill millions, it’s what they always do.

      1. Andrei says:

        I hope only peace
But whit Americans policy I don’t see that
        Quite sadly

  11. Pave Way IV says:

“A US-insitgated large-scale provocation is expected to take place on the Venezuelan border, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned in a statement.”

The aid shipment clownfuckery this weekend is just to stir up the locals and provide a photo opportunity for the MSM propaganda campaign. It’s not THE large-scale provocation the US is planning.

The large-scale provocation will be intended to drag Colombia and Brazil into ‘the war’ – brown people will be sacrificed, not Americans, FFS. And despite what either country thinks of Maduro, neither one has any interest in a fight with Venezuela, especially on orders from The Pimp From The North. They have to be made to WANT to take out Maduro with the proper false flag. Like a Venezuelan SAM taking out a Colombian or Brazilian commercial airliners filled with kids. Would the US really do something that evil? Sure, just ask Malaysian Airlines. Psychopaths stick with what works.

Whatever the US does against Venezuela will automatically start with taking out their air defenses. It’s easier to bomb their infrastructure later on that way. Besides, retaliation for the Venezuelan AD taking out a passenger jet full of innocent children. Venezuela has Chinese JYL-1 3D surveillance radars, S-300VM, BUK-2ME and some S-125s, I think.

    1. Bill Wilson says:

      None of their shit works!

      1. Pave Way IV says:

It doesn’t matter. Tell that to Bellingcat and the Atlantic Council while they assemble social media evidence showing that it was Maduro’s SAM fired on orders from Putin and Xi Jinping. That should be enough proof for the US to let the Tomahawks fly.

  12. VeeNarian (Yerevan) says:

I really hope the Cuban special forces give a warm welcome to the US “exceptional” special invader forces.
Gee, it can be really warm in the jungles!

    1. Bill Wilson says:

The Cubans will wave at the Americans as they go by.

      1. VeeNarian (Yerevan) says:

Is that why Cuba is still a free island? Remember Angola?
Cubans are a free people and will give these special US chicken forces a good hiding if the US dares to invade Venezuela. We will soon know in a few hours tonight.

  13. Quenten Bruce says:

It surprises me how toothless many commentators here are. Seems ya ll like to complain about zionism and imperialism, like children. Can anyone here actually articulate the causes and counters for cultural change that will address these two movements, in the simplest terms?

    1. Bill Wilson says:

      They can’t!

      1. Quenten Bruce says:

It ain’t rocket science. They, at least are on the right track in the moral sphere you know Bill. These left leaning humanitarian ideologues, though most of their their means, knowledge and experience does not meet that mental capacity. Makes it harder for people to see clearly when vulnerable positions like that get attacked by socialised warmongers and deluded liberals, nationalists or capitalists.

    2. FlorianGeyer says:

Greed, Greed, Greed and Zionist Jews + Tyrannical Warlords..

So simple that even you can understand.

      1. Quenten Bruce says:

This is hardly an articulated response. The sort of rabid rapid reaction we are all used to and sick from. Can you understand that?
Let me break it down for your dumb ass.. How do they maintain the momentum of Zionism and imperialism and can you articulate a counter of those means in a paragraph?

        1. FlorianGeyer says:

Dept = lender power over the debtor and Jews have been traditional lenders for thousands of years.

Jews have been banished from many countries during the thousands of years of judaism, as they are all seen as accomplice’s to usury.

Fair ot not , its a fact. No one loves a banker.

          1. Quenten Bruce says:

Not here for history lesson bro

  14. Eskandar Black says:

This article is ridiculously naive. US special forces dont need to deploy to Venezuela, they are present all around the Caribbean. Maduro is a horrible creature, and while i abhor interventions, removing him is the right thing to do. I only hope VZ military is wise enough to ditch maduro before it is too late.

    1. Bill Wilson says:

South Front’s articles are fun to read if you get a kick out of clumsy propaganda and the silly comments made by the idiot twits.

      1. BlueRiver says:

That’s why I have been reading the articles at Southfront for the past 3+ years. You should read the comments whenever Israel conducts yet another strike on Syrian/Iranian/Hezbollah targets. It’s hilarious. From my experience here, I’d say it is very rare to find an intelligent commentator on South Front. If you go to any article here, the most up-voted comments are usually the ones critical of the U.S or Israel. I guess most of them are Muslims or those who believe in their lies.

        1. Zionism = EVIL says:

Why don’t you two queers get a room :)

      2. Zionism = EVIL says:

That must make you the el-primo fuckwit as you spend your whole pathetic life here :)

  15. cechas vodobenikov says:

US imperialists have long been in Colombia—they r too incompetent to matter

  16. Tommy Jensen says:

The gangster nation is now out in full open raids with armed robberies around the globe against everybody. Not even US lapdogs can feel secure from a knife in the back………………………LOL.

  17. Xoli Xoli says:

USA and puppets NATO countries are busy destroying develop and developing countries because of USA dollar and Euro collapsing. All the countries which NATO destroyed were never rebuilt including Syria,Ukraine and Egypt.Qatar was safe by Iran and Turkey. Pentagon plans include Colombia,Brazil,Nicaragua, Bolivia,Cuba,Mexico starting with Venezuela.During this Trump created crisis in Latin America who ever is going to host USA,France,British and Canadian special forces will first be destroy by them to create uncontrollable chaose.Who ever 8s going to buy face with USA is soon going to be own by USA.Black people are killed like hunting trophies in USA by USA white police. Why is Goliath Trump not address this issues and liberate black people with in USA from white supremacists racism.
