U.K. Prepares To Join Trump's Strikes On Syria

The UK is drawing plans to join a possible US military action against Syria in response to the alleged chemical attack in town of Douma, which took place on April 7.

According to reports, on April 9, military chiefs were instructed by the authorities to plan an expanded operation against the government of Bashar Assad.

The talks came as UK Prime Minister Theresa May claimed on April 9 that President Assad and its backers would be “held to account”.

“If they’re found to be responsible, the regime and its backers, including Russia, must be held to account,” she said.

Last weekend, when the attack was first reported, May refused to rule out a military action against the Syrian government.

“We are working urgently with our allies to assess what has happened,” she said. “We are also working with our allies on any action that is necessary.”

Meanwhile, Washington is also openly considering a military option against Syria, which will be justified by the Douma attack.

According to some reports, one of the military options considered by the Trump adminsitration, is the so-called multinational action against the Assad government, i.e. a full-scale invasion.

Recently, the UK and the US have been the main critics of Russia over what appears to be the clearly staged Skripal poisoning case. Now, they are preparing to develop their aggressive posture over the Syrian conflict.

MAY YOU’RE A SLUT AND TRUMP IS YOUR PIMP !!!

    • D boy

They wouldn’t be full-scale invasion by either of them and I am sure they want to put pressure on Russia to stop backing President Assad. What they don’t realise is that Russia are good when they put pressure on them through military action . Just enjoy everything you need because hell will break if any Russia troops are killed in the attack.

      • Ivan Freely

Russia did lose some troops but only as PMCs.

      • Joe

Russia so far displayed lamely to shoot down ANY Western planes.

Just shoot one down , entire Nato will withdraw

    Stupid stupid Britain.

    • FlorianGeyer

Theresa May will have to get Parliamentary approval to do that and that is doubtful and if she lost could easily cause a general election.

We live in truly mad times Jerry ‘ I also suspect the US belligerence is theatre for the MK talks in May . Russia must stand firm now.

John Bolton’s old buddy in crime against humanity, Tony Blair sees that totally different:
“Tony Blair says Theresa May does not need Parliament’s approval for air strikes against Assad regime”
        https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2018/04/10/tony-blair-says-theresa-may-does-not-need-parliaments-approval/

        • FlorianGeyer

How will she explain the death of UK servicemen I wonder? Russia is not a native with a spear.

          • Albert Pike

She will explain it with a lie – she is quite good at that. Also the chances, with the Brits being part of this new ‘coalition of the willing’ – the hopes that it will be just a ‘Trump tomahawk cruise missile show’, and not real death and destruction, are next to zero.
The Scripal hoax has also created enough hate inside Russia against the Brits, that his own people will force Putin to react in the strongest terms.

I tend more to think that it’s done, that it can’t be stopped any longer. If there are after a few days enough deaths at Nato and Russian side – then it will run it’s cause, and might spread all over the show.
Next might then Ukraine, Korea, China… everywhere…

        • Merijn
        • Bob

Few in broader UK population much care for Blair’s opinion anymore – he was heavily discredited by the Chilcott Report on Iraq War – yet British centrist media insist on publishing Blair’s interventionist agenda.

He seems to be strongly connected to the messianic movement, but I never bothered to go into his family religious history – but this 33deg mason is acting almost like a zoharist…

“Theresa May will have to get Parliamentary approval to do that and that is doubtful and if she lost could easily cause a general election.”

Unfortunately this is no longer true, she can take the decision herself; that is how low our government has fallen.

        • AM Hants

Blair is telling her not to bother??????????? Seriously. Details on a previous link.

          • You can call me Al

Yes I was reading it, before I threw the machine on the setae.

      • AM Hants

Have you seen that Blair has popped out of his crypt? The smell of blood, roused him from his slumber, and what he is saying?

Well, he got away with it, back in 2003, the same chacters, same faces, with a few others, all involved and running exactly the same script, that they ran with Sadam, Iraq and the illusive WMDs.

Theresa May speaks to Macron and will call Trump about striking back at Syria as Tony Blair calls for military action WITHOUT a vote of MPs… http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/index.html

Do the military never consider their responsibilities according to the Nuremburg Convention?
They should refuse to participate in this immoral, illegal, murderous, and entirely unjustified action.

And I say that as a British person myself.

    • Joe

Depends on how Russia or iran responds.

It’s war now. A war Assad will win for certainty if they are better than the Houthis

I think Assad’s allies are better than the Houthis…. May be?

      • velociraptor

And assads enemies are also better than saudis.

        • Joe

They are guided fully by US using US planes with unlimited munitions… Tell me how are US pilots better that the Saudi planes piloted by maybe Americans pilots.

And tell me, how to defeat the Houthis ….I am all ears

          • Sadde

There is a difference, in Yemen the Saudis pay for the war and the west make fortune but in Syria even US, UK, France and Turkey (to name a few main perpetrators) have invested heavily!

          • Joe

We are talking about using planes to attack ground forces.

Money has nothing to do with it

          • Sadde

In an comparison between the war in Yemen and the war in Syria you mentioned that the Assad has better friends.
velociraptor mentioned that Assad’s enemies are also better.
In the reply to him, you rightly implied that in both they use american weapon and planning thus they have both same enemy and I upvoted your lead input (note that as an example you just mentioned american planes and weapon)
In reply to you I mentioned that there actually is a difference (between the enemies of Syria and enemies of Yemen even if the enemies of both use american weapon) whereby in Syria not only Saudis but also the West (particularly US but also UK and France) have invested heavily.

You tel me where in the discussion anyone said anything about “using planes to attack ground forces”? And where did I directly/exclusively talked about money?

          • Merijn

And they’ll have to invest more….they only dare to Fight with many against one… we will see how much Balls they Got…their Armies in All those Countries including America Heavily divided… Russia One Big Solid Mass of Determination & Selfsacrifice (did I mention Iran & China?)… Good Luck Europe & the rest!!! And I prefer to stand with the East… that’s where the Sun comes Up

        • Ewan

Saudis dont fly the saudi planes, Israelis do, they are just better at being cowards and killing kids and women from 40 000ft.

    • Rob

This is a war between Israeli migrants and Muslims. Russia support Muslims and Washington, UK and France support Israeli butchers. Note. Israeli migrants are number one butchers in the world, each year they slaughter 3 to 4 thousands of Muslims in the world.

      • Rakean Jaya

I’m disagree Rob. Israel migrant aka Zionist scumbag have attack everyone, they have slaughtered French, Russian, Lebanese, Palestinian, Syrian ..etc. I think this time is a war between the crazy western establishments(zionist slaves) lead by US/Israel vs the coalitions of sane leads by Russia, and I believe the silence majority in the world would be on Russian sides when the times came.

    • Rob

Putin should establish no fly zone over Syria for illegal intruders and without wasting time, from now choose the targets in Israel, in UK, in US and in the sea.
Putin should not down otherwise the consequences for Russia would be worst than Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. If Russia win then US, UK and France may break which Israel don’t want.

    • Sadde

Welcome to the reality for at least the last 5th centuries. Just listening to the last UNSC meeting, it becomes clear how imperialistic the attitude of the western world still is. Combined with the seemingly lack of higher education of the representatives of US, UK and France, a mafia-like meeting emerges. Embarrassing!

According to international law, France had no right to launch a ground invasion of Germany in 1939 using 40 divisions, 1,100 artillery pieces and more then 400 tanks during the Saar invasion.
Eventually the indigenous defenders repulsed the invaders and counter attacked and took Paris as a buffer zone against the aggressors.

      • Tim Webb

Fortunately, the tanks were Renault / Citroen models, and so rapidly broke down or were “re-purposed” as roadside sculptures.
But the entire western response was a set-up job anyway; Hitler could not be allowed to continue his jew-free barter system with the rest of the world, which had led to the resurrection of Germany in less than a decade, after its jewish-led destruction at Versailles.
Following on, of course, from its destruction by the same forces in WW1.

        • Merijn

Wasn’t this WWII just a tool to take over Germany and Create Israhell? And Create A Fourth Reich, called Europe with the same Fascist Families? I still doubt if Hitler wasn’t just their Puppet…the false flaggot…

          • Real Anti-Racist Action

The UK and French and Jews did the same thing to the indigenous Germanic tribes as they did to the Cherokee. Cherokee and Germans should join forces with other like minded Nationalist and take the Resistance to a global scale!

          • Merijn

Totally Agree! They always use the same trick…but believe me you don’t have to be a Nationalist to do that…even Internationalists get pissed off…back in the good old Days The Northern Tribes United…and gave the Romans a devastating Blow…works best..Division is what they tried to accomplish these days…I don’t believe it is really working..that is a good sign…

They want terrorists to rule like in Libya and return to terrorise their own countries.

Meanwhile Assad should fight He or Houthis style
    Hide all tanks

Not going to happen, fanboy, Turkey’s main concern right now is not regime change in Damascus but the Kurdish state within a state that the US is trying to carve out of Syria. It wants Manbij a hell of a lot more then it wants Aleppo.

Same old dirty tricks and make up stories of warmongers. The Iraq WMD conspiracy theory of these 2 hypocrites (US + UK) is coming back on stage in Syria. However, this time the NATOs will have to face not only Russia, but also Iran & Turkey. China will play reserves.

Sorry but all this was signaled weeks, if not months, in advance, and Russia has utterly failed to rise to the challenge. Just yesterday, the Kremlin’s resolve was probed by the Empire’s kosher branch, and Putin crawled under the bed as usual–can’t upset the rabbi’s apparently.

In 2013, the British parliament denied Cameron his adventure, because they worried about Syria’s Russian ally. If the same just elicits laughter this time round–well, they have just observed the evidence.

I know this is an unpopular opinion on this forum, but in this way Putin is just Tsipras with nukes. There are never consequences, never a Plan B, never an “or else”. Does the man really covet a spot in the pantheon of defeated appeasers? How could you face your country afterwards?

    • Tudor Miron

You’re not even funny. You seemed to be able to think clearly but now proving that was a false impression.

      • Turbofan

Lets face it ..I think he has a point.. These statement coming from Russia are not convincing..Its always ” may be serious consequences” , ” ‘tracking’ western aircraft over Syria”.. Ultimately Russia’s efforts in Syria will have been a waste of money and lives if the Syrian state is still destroyed..Russia should have just allowed it to happen years ago if they arent going to act decisively when its in the most danger..

        • Tudor Miron

Face what? The fact that West is on the brink of total loss in its war against Syria? What do you want us to do? Attack western countries first?
Jumping to preliminary conclusion doesn’t help my friend. Ma Laoshi is accusing Putin for something that is yet to happen – smoke and mirrors. While on the ground SAA is steadily turning the Syrian map in red color.

          • Turbofan

“Attack western countries first?” I am not sure why you are even asking this question. I have never seem anyone here suggesting this.
Question: If American, France and the UK is to attack Syrian forces in a major attack on Syria, what do you envision the Russians doing?

          • BMWA1

By attacking western counties first, he I speaking of effective action, not nuanced strikes for political effect, war is serious business and not a game.

          • Tudor Miron

As a Russian sitizen I say that we should strike back. We are ready to fight and die if that’s nesessary. We know what war is. Americans don’t know what it is.
Cherchil was a snakehead but that time he told the truth – Nation that chooses shame vs war will get shame and war. (sorry for weird reverse translation)

          • Ma_Laoshi

You may be ready, but is your government? And before we jump into the fire on all sides, surely it’d be better to *deter* a major war? Am I right that Putin Jr. is still living the good life on NATO territory, and the same for many other golden youth? Russia is facing a powerful, amoral, and intelligent enemy that assesses such data points, and may well conclude from them that say taking out the Syrian Air Force is something they can get away with.

          • Tudor Miron

Putin jr.? Now may I ask for some factual data?

        • Ma_Laoshi

As always there are two sides, and as always, we will see. But already, the Empire has scored a major ideological point that the only potential issue is killing Russians in Syria. Killing Syrians in Syria, however, is conceded by the Kremlin to be a fair sport for all comers. A rather different set of rules than is applied for Jordan, France, Japan, etc.
