Two Blasts Rocked Turkish-Occupied Town In Syria’s Al-Hasakah (Photos, Videos)

On September 24, the Turkish-occupied town of Tell Halaf in the northern countryside of al-Hasakah was rocked by two explosions.

The first explosion, which took place in the noon, was caused by an improvise explosive device that was planted in the center of the town. The explosion caused material losses. However, no casualties were reported.

In the afternoon, a booby-trapped car exploded in front of al-Sufi shops inside Tell Halaf. Three civilians were killed and 11 others were injured in the explosions, which destroyed a bus.

There was no immediate claim for the attacks. Nevertheless, Kurdish forces were blamed by few oppositions activists, as usual.

Tell Halaf, which is located near the border town of Ras al-Ain, was occupied by Turkish forces in October of 2019. The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces showed fierce resistance but failed to hold the region.

The Turkish military and its proxies are yet to take serious measures to secure their areas in northeastern Syria. Dozens of bombings have hit these areas since last October.
