Turkish State-Run Media Accuses “Assad Regime”, Russia, Iran Of Cooperating With ISIS Against “Opposition” In Idlib Province

Donate

On January 10, the Turkish state-run news agency Anadolu released a propaganda article accusing the “Assad regime”, Russia and Iran of cooperation with ISIS against the “opposition” in the province of Idlib.

The article released by Anadolu (source):

Syria’s Assad regime and the Daesh terrorist group have continued to strike opposition positions northwest of the northern city of Idlib, according to a local opposition source.

Mohamed Rashid, a spokesman for the Jaish al-Nasr group (which fights under the umbrella of the Free Syrian Army), said Daesh had captured several villages in Hama province (south of Idlib) from the armed opposition, including Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, an anti-regime militant group.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Rashid said that Daesh — with the support of Russia, Iran and the Assad regime — had also been striking positions in Idlib.

As part of these ongoing operations, he added, regime forces had recently approached the Abu al-Duhur airport while Daesh forces had advanced into northeastern Hama.

With air support provided by Russia, Rashid said, these advances had served to cut the opposition’s lines of defense.

During peace talks held in Kazakh capital Astana on Dec. 21 and 22 — brokered by Turkey, Russia and Iran — opposition delegates reported how the Assad regime and Daesh were carrying out coordinated attacks on opposition forces.

Turkey, meanwhile, has recently said that Assad regime forces were targeting the moderate opposition on the pretext that they were fighting terrorist groups.

Such a policy, Turkish officials warned, threatened to undermine the political process in Syria.

On Wednesday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu called on Iran and Russia to fulfill their responsibilities as “guarantor states” of Syria’s political process.

Syria has only just begun to emerge from a devastating conflict that began in 2011 when the regime cracked down on demonstrators with unexpected ferocity.

Such article clearly show that Ankara is not going to cooperate closely with Damascus, Moscow and Teheran in their effort to eliminate the terrorist groups like Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in the province of Idlib. Furthermore, the Turkish state-run media and top officials are involved in a propaganda campaign in order to undermine the anti-terrorist efforts of the Russian-Syrian-Iranian coalition.

I really loath the Turks. Don’t you?

    • FlorianGeyer

The Turkish governments old and new have been and are not the most trustworthy thieves in the world :)

      • paul ( original )

I would rather say that you can rely on them to stab you in the back.

        • FlorianGeyer

The old adage goes ‘ Never Trust a Turk’ and it seems to have survived the test of time :)

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Never trust a Turk unless you hold knife to his throat and a gun to his balls.

  • Yui2

Yes, Assad is certainly in league with the terrorists that stake claim on the country he rules and with which he’s been fighting (more than anyone else, I might add) since the start of the war. His end goal is probably ISIS-dominated Syria because that makes so much sense. Thank you, Turkey, for shedding light on the situation in Syria.

    • northerntruthseeker .

I have never read such a piece of pure drivel before.. This is obviously another Hasbara/JIDF agent in here putting out this bullcrap…

The reality remains the same.. “ISIS” is and always has been a fraud “terrorist” group run by the American CIA and Israeli Mossad.. It is composed almost entirely of high paid mercenaries and agents and operators directed by the US and Israel…

The bottom line here is obvious then… Turkey is full of crap and for the most stupid reasons trying to stir up trouble here even though its leadership has been making moves to work closely with the Russians…. The term “hypocrisy” comes to mind…..

      • Bob

‘Yui2’ was being ironic – showing up the ridiculousness of Turkish claims – but you missed it.

  • Rob

Salman, Erdogan and Netanyahu Zionist butchers now cry when they see Assad advancement in Idlib. Well done Assad, Rouhani, Putin and Nasrallah.

    • Langaniso Mhlobo

Here I support you. This three terrorist leaders doesn’t want peace for self enrichment purposes.Salman,Erdogan and Satanyahu allows their terrorists to butcher Syrians.

  • Rob

Now Salman, Erdogan and Netanyahu decide they want their terrorist elements alive or dead. If they stay in Idlib then definitely they will die.

    • northerntruthseeker .

Absolutely… This is one of the last ditch efforts to save the “terrorists” now being destroyed in Idlib province….

  • Hide Behind

    What’s there to say?
The only Turkey in world with half a brain is the American Wild Turkey and the only time they are easy to hunt is when the are after sex.
Turkey was part and parcel of original NATO/ US/UAE/Israel designs upon Syria, they got a hard-on which was quickly deflated by realities of the allied, ownership of Syria, so they went seeking relief through Iran- Russia, and more or less were told “GFY.”
Wanting to save a cake and eat it to, well Turkey’s toothless gums bit of a harder chunk than they could chew.
    Now they scramble for crumbs.

  • François

    Never trust the Turkish!
Turkey is indeed deeply involved with crypto jews, like Mr Erdogan for example.
Aaaaand…. Crypto Jews are have strong ties with Israël.

    • s Slippy

So strong ties to Israel that the US arranges coups to overthrow Erdogan? We cant have Mr Erdogan being too close to Israel right!

Lord have mercy on your soul Francois…

      • François

Please understand that Turkey have better relationship with Israël than with the US.
Erdogan is close to Israël but distant from the US, but even so it’s ambiguous judging by the common support from Turkey, US and Israël to HTS and “Free Syrian Army”.
The game is quite intricated, you see?

      • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The US wanted to overthrow Turkey because they need it’s army in the middle east and nothing else and were willing to sell the population to Kurdish terrorist linked groups. Then what happened among other NATO countries gave the US reason to pause their efforts.

        • s Slippy

You are speaking absolute truths Terra! But what Francois says is needless to say garbage, diplomatic relations with Israel is hanging on a thin line.

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Those two politicians Recep and Bibi have always jockeyed for position in the middle east and for the same chair at the US table. They both hide their true intentions as they want to carve up the middle east between the two and try to manipulate the US at the same time.

  • Feudalism Victory

A look at the map show isis beside the saa advance so maybe?

    • northerntruthseeker .

NO, the advance now is to “close the gap” and prevent the escape of the fraud “ISIS” forces… The SAA is doing a superb job right now and they will have the US/Israel fraud “ISIS” forces trapped within the next day and then subsequently destroyed…

  • willyvandamme

      ISIS recommissioned as SDF.

      • FlorianGeyer

Its been going on within the western backed terror gangs for years I would think.

        • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

You are correct about it being years as they had been rebranding them as the FSA before, The YPG were upset in 2014 when they were being forced to join with FSA/ISIS members due to low recruitment numbers back then in creating the SDF. The PKK/YPG had negotiated the leadership of the SDF over the Majority Arabs ,they numbered 6000 when they started and now comprise most of the SDF forces.

Really stupid as SDF has only started as of late 20q5.

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The PYD was started in 2003 as a wing of the PKK nice coincidence, to good to be a grassroots movement but they were already conducting acts of terrorism. These are just more US tools and nothing more should research them thoroughly very interesting as to why they were never given a country.

    • Solomon Krupacek

is you teka one i from isis, you get ISS. international space station. this can not be coincidence.

      • FlorianGeyer

And if you take an ‘I’ out of ISIS you get SIS. ” Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) – otherwise known as MI6 ”

        https://www.sis.gov.uk/

The relevance of your comment being what Solomon ?

        • Solomon Krupacek

see you? isis is supermorph. it is everywhere :)))

        • matt

if you move the i from the front to the back you get SISI, now wasn’t she cute?

    • matt

Florian, still believe in good and bad?
Can’t you see there are only bad boys in this filthy war?

      • FlorianGeyer

It is indeed a filthy war but Syria before the war was a place where thousands of tourists visited every month, where those of different religions were able to live in relative harmony and where health care, industry and commerce thrived.

So on balance I would prefer to live under the current elected government than ISIS, Al Nusra, FSA,SDF ( who are stealing Arab homes as we speak) and any other terror groups that are in fact bands of criminals with a War Lord boss.

On balance the US Coalition of Terror and Proxies have not improved the lot of Syrians in any way, unless you consider Medieval strict Shariah Law an advantage , although I accept that the government is not without fault.

        • matt

I totaly agree with you! BUT…..Assad remains a dirty bastard and a serial killer.
I met several refugees, nice and decent people that ran away mostly because they did not wanted to kill their fellow citizens, either for the regime or for the criminal gangs. But they told me about life under Assad, and it wasn’t all that nice. As soon as they heard the latakia accent, they got scared, it ment secret police usual. In every town, there is an Assad palace. You cannot critize the regime, because big change you get tortured. Just some examples of what was told to me. I was a volunteer to help refugees, so i am not making this up.

          • FlorianGeyer

Iraq and Libya good examples where a Strong Man in power was beneficial to the majority. Syria is no different.

I do disagree with you about the current President of the Assad dynasty. In my opinion he is a decent and honourable man. If you care to look at what he actually does and not what he is said to have done you will be surprised I hope.

Police forces around the globe are often corrupt , cruel and violent . The UK is not immune and neither is the US from this type of failure. The Ferguson demonstrations ( and the cause) being a case in point.

          • Jc Plancarte

Have you stop to think that some of those “nice Syrian refugees” might be muslim brotherhood, or any other Salafist sectarian muslim!!!??? The Assads were correct in persecuting these terrorists within Syria as they were bent into turning Syria into another sharia hellhole like Saudi Arabia, or Sudan!!!! These are about the only people who were not happy in a secular, pluralistic, tolerant, inclusive, modern Syria, or Libya!!!! The West is stupid to allow in any Salafist, or fundamental/extreme sunni muslims!!! Too bad for the good people of Syria that the Assads did not do a thorough job of eradicating the muslim brotherhood/ Salafist scum, as we have witnessed that they were waiting for the right moment to get support from the NATO/CIA/Saudi/Qatar/UAE/Israhel/UK criminal cabal to destroy Syria and massacred thousands of innocent non-sunni-muslim civilians and captured SAA soldiers!!!! Assad did not do a good job at keeping out the tens of thousands of Saudi, Chechen, Libyan, Tunisian, etc. islamist terrorist mercenaries that infiltrated Syria prior to the start of the CIA fabricated “revolution”. We all, now, know that these foreign islamist mercenaries and the local islamists that joined them started to murder soldiers, police, non-sunni civilians and blowing up sunni mosques in order to blame the Syria government. All while the criminal cabal of plotters pushed their false propaganda on the western media whores channels!!! AND, tens of thousands of these foreign islamists came from the Salafist refugee families, and their converts, that the stupid West allowed into their countries, and are now raping and murdering their way into enforcing sharia zones within their liberal, naïve hosts; i.e. UK, Sweden, Germany, etc!!!! I am sure you are an idiot easily persuaded by a few tears from a Salafist seeking refugee status while ignoring the mountains of evidence that this war on Syria is a dirty war implemented with an invasion of islamist terrorists!!!

          • Joe

You read too much Western MSM.

Assad is savior for the minorities esp the Christians . Yet dummies Christian countries sanctions his country and demonise him without a shred of evidence including you.

Just too much . Fools and criminals are running the world.

No, you are wrongly informed, that is the problem

          • Ewan

Assad’s are weary of Sunni uprisings – so they have constructed a police state – but if you don’t F@ck with the Assad’s. they wont Fcuk with you.Syria was the most cosmopolitan place in the Middle East – it was not Assad that turned it into this quagmire – it was Israeli Oded-Yinon, implemented by US-SAUDI-GCC.

          • matt

His father was a brutal dictator and so is he. But the alternative is worse i agree.
Too many stupid fundamentalists there, also because the assads did not educate the people enough and because the elite was too greedy, as usual

          • nshah

B4 the Anglo Saxon set their stinking foot in Syria.. I did see not anything bad about Syria or Assad.. it was a beautiful country and wonderful people regardless of ethnic or religion wise..!

My information says Assad is not that bad but rather favoured by the majority of Syrians.

            Forget about pre war scenario.
Saving Syria as a country is far more important than a few petty fears. Syria is under Attack by so many powerfully countries both financially and militarily.

YET HE IS WINNING to keep Syria whole. This alone earn him title ‘The Great’ . Tell me can anyone achieves what he achieved? Only problem is he is too soft and quiet

The last part with his allies is that ensure US forces leave peacefully

          • matt

Why saving Syria as a country is important?? Or any other country???? There all fabrications, invented by some fuckers….

          • Joe

What? Saving a country from being like Libya is not important? You are out of your mind.

Turkey call themselves a Muslim state that they have recognized Israel the state of European settlers. European settlers in Israel are not native Palestinians. They slaughtering each and every single day dozens of Palestinians and still Erdogan keeps diplomatic relations with Israel. This is Zionist Erdogan that run terror networks in Syria. Erdogan got cold feet from NATO and terrorist supporters. They could mess the country good and it’s on the lower chances the axis of resistance coming down to help him keeping his reign over the country. Everyone fighting to preserve Syria as a states remember. Every turks who’s against supporting terrorist remember.
The next time it invite over it’s NATO ‘friends’ it is a game over for him. NATO didn’t put any effort to conceal their attitudes towards anything Muslims.
