Turkey Sends Additional Troops & Military Hardware to Syria

The Turkish Defense Ministry has announced an increase of the number of military hardware and troops, involved in the country’s military operation on the territory of Syria, also known as the Euphrates Shield operation. In the frameworks of the operation, the Turkish Army has been supporting the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA), operating in the northern part of the Syrian Arab Republic. Recently, after a long break, the FSA was involved into armed clashes with the Syrian government army in the area of al-Bab.

As the Anadolu news agency reported, citing the Turkish military command, another convoy of military hardware has arrived to the Syrian border. Reportedly, 22 armored infantry vehicles and several squadrons of Turkish soldiers are going cross the Turkish-Syrian border in the very near future.

Will remind, in the course of Operation Euphrates Shield, Turkish troops conduct warfare not only against terrorists of the Islamic State (IS) group, but also against armed groups of Kurds.

Just a few days ago, one of the American Generals said that a supplemental reconnaissance of the situation in the north of Syria and in Raqqa city was carried out. As a result, the US concluded that there is a need of additional arming of Kurds, for example, with anti-tank missile systems. These statements of the American commander caused criticism by the Turkish official authorities, for whom the IS, apparently, is not the main goal in the Syrian Arab Republic.

What a mess this war is, there are so many involved its so hard to keep track of who the bad guys and good guys are. US wants to arm the Kurds to fight Isis I’m guessing, but turkey doesn’t like the Kurds, but we are allies with turkey, but turkey is more worried about the Kurds rather than ISIS.

    • Luigi

but thats the idea… to create a big and messy perpetual war to “balkanize” the middle east. first creating and arming ISIS, with Saudi money and Turkey support ofc, to fight against Syria and Iraq and thus forcing Iran and Russia join to save them. Later, arming also the Kurds so they can joing the fight too pushing them against ISIS, but also against Turkey while Saudi Arabia battles Yemen in its southwest. And thats just the beggining beacuse this proxy regional war will probably become a major regional war when those nations start to figth each other directly…

Why is Syria not putting forces into Deir Ezzor to secure that against Empire water and resources
    Land grab.?
Syria has 1000s of combat experience soldiers to send

Has Raqqa secretly been given to Kurds/US already?

Putin and Lavrov talk about Syria national integrity…
Assad says repeatedly All Syria will be liberated.

With Der Ezzor scrapping by with one close call after another,…one wonders WTF is going on in
Syria and why Obvious locations were not supported properly,

Is Syria some kind of jaded game where the guy out in front stops so the competition can catch up?

I’m not impressed with Russia in this regard,….Lavrov may have voiced some opposition

It seems Russia and Iran just watch as Syria is killed off.

Maybe Russia is just using Syrian conflict as venue to test new weapons systems.

Russia is weak and Putin coward. IF he would declare in sept 2015, thar whole syria is under russian proteczion and will bob all foreign mercenaries, and will send also troops, they had chance. but he began his stupid dance and was overwhelmed.

on 1 side, for russia is important to test weapons and to keep the military harbor and airbase. thus the minimal goal is fullfilled. on other side, there will be no iranian pipelenie but qatar. and this is big loss for russia. and lose also another friend.

i know russians. they have a sick idea: they can do the things best. which is not true. and always payed for russian stupidity the allied countires. therefore is russia alone in the world. also iran is not allied country. in this war have similar interests, that is all.

          • Brad Isherwood

Some opine that Russia and Iran are limited ….a game of skill to keep Empire

            Destroy your own country…….Congratulations! !

Several military events in recent months Syria have given me pause about what
Russia and Iran intend towards Syrian conflict..

Some opine that Russia and Iran are limited

ihave saved all putins speeches from 2015. he talked something else.

You are right. Russians do not owe enything. Each bimb, each help was payed by syrian government in advance. Assad got nothing as gift. But they should also communicate this fact to syrian people. Russia is not friend, is only a business partner. And in this case russia has no right to make deals about syria with turkey, usa, iran, israel.

      • Xanatos

Russia did not stop the tabqa offensive to divide syria. Deir Ezzor is necessary for syria becausee that area is most of syria s oil. It cannot rebuild without that.

Tabqa offensive was bad strategy. Aleppo was the higher priority. Securing damascus suburbs is second. Deir Ezzor is third. Tabqa and the precious hydroelectric Dam is probably lost cause. If the US doesnt blow it up isis will.

        • Solomon Krupacek

aleppo was not priority. how want exist syria without oil fields??

russians obeyed eastern half of syria. the whole russian strategy is a piece of shit! no border is closed for jihadists. they stopped latiaka, daraa, anadan, deir ez zor, tabqa/raqqa offensives. otehrwise 2 bombs were needed to kill 1 terrorist (if i will count deadly bullets and cannon shells, tem 4-5 bombes were needed). very uneffectiveness.

      • Jens Holm

Ha-ha. They were totally knocked out by ISIS. Tabqa has exact the same problems as Palmyra.

Long attaclines which cant be defended witout many, many soldiers and long, long supply lines as well.

Above that a big lack of military skills. SAA still dont use tanks as they should. Those are nothing without clever well armed infantery around and between them as one unit.

This has been well known since 1939 by the german armnies then.

The stupid SAA still use tanks in urban warfare as well.

Last time they lost Palmyra ISIS took at least 30 armed vehicles including tanks. It was a milisia which should support them, but there tents were in an own camp.

There were not made a good fortification of the area because it wasnt ordered by someone in Damaskus and no observer line outside the camps. And its well known enemy troops always try to hide their attacks helped by the wether -such as rain, storm, sandstorm.

So how they should go to Tabqa having no skills for it that time too, is a mystery.

        • John Whitehot

who uses tank like they should be used? Turkey? lololol

          • Jens Holm

Ha-ha. Im not impressed of the turks either, but they are supporters to FSA, thats very different from SAA which havnt learned their infantery to cover their tanks and other armed vehicles as they should and loose to many of them, where the infantery loosess many because canons dont cover them.

Im still in, that armies like the syrian shouldnt have tanks at all because artilery of high caliber and with short range would give much more firepower and is not complicated and much cheeper pr unit.

If turks had with tanks from Ar Rai having infantery all around ad direct to Al Bab, we would see if they could handle it.

After that – if a succes – they would have divided 3 areas, which they could clean 1 by 1(of course with same problems with mines, tunnels and other fortifications).

          • John Whitehot

the syrian army must have taken notice of your analysis. In particular the part where “SAA which havnt learned their infantery to cover their tanks and other armed vehicles as they should and loose to many of them” is a pearl that will shine for decades among all the annals of military studies. Entire generations of graduating officers from all the world will surely be ordered to learn that phrase during their training, and be able to repeat it by hearth (word by word, no – letter by letter), as one of the vital cornerstones of every possible combined warfare tactic..omg.

          • Jens Holm

Good. I like optimized systems whatever they are armies or anything else. You win very much by having less waste.

Even I dont like Assads its hard to se enemies gain 30 armed vehicles, as they did last time ISIS had Palmyra(And I hope its last time ISIS had it too).

It’s war for resources. RU want’s its gas to reach EU and prevent Iran and Qatar to do the same. Oligarchs want to eliminate competition. It’s clear the sanctions are working well. That’s the reason why they have no interest in securing eastern part of Syrian territory which would have provided an access for Iranian gas to Mediterranean. When it comes to protecting territorial integrity of SA republic the story is almost identical to RU role in protecting Serbian integrity in 1999. Lavrov and Putin publicly stated at that time that S Milosevic was a problem for RU and they send him to the kangaroo court in Hague for defending his country from NATO aggression. Serbia turned to be a sacrificial animal offered on the altar of RU gas and petrol industry. RU has failed to diversify its economy because of the death grip of oligarchs who control its oil industry and military ind complex.

Even if Assad agreed to go it’s questionable whether that would prevent the bloodshed. There is nothing in Wahhabi and Salafi ideology that would provide bases for peaceful transition of power. Without Assad’s secular government millions of people would have been left on mercies of radical Islamist monsters and slaughter would have been even greater. US government driven by ind mil complex as well as others has been gearing for mil solution and nothing else would have appeased a ferocious bloodthirsty beast but a total onslaught of innocent population. And yes David Rockefeller and CFR still believe that all should be done to cut down the population of the Earth and mil ind complex perfectly suits the purpose beside others.

What do you know about Bible prophecy? Let me just tell you something you don’t know about or maybe you don’t want to know. Well it’s choice.
There is a place in the ME called Kumran. A Palestinian shepherd
boys were playing throwing stones into surrounding caves and then they heard sound like something was hit and shattered to peaces. They climbed into the cave and found it full of pottery with scrolls written on both sides in them. Later on the scrolls were examined and found that the oldest of them were dated by the second century BC. One of the scrolls contained the prophecy about Jesus crucifixion from the book of the prophet Isaiah chapter 53 which by the way Jews are not allowed to read under the threat of excommunication. You may ask them why. The scroll had been written approximately 200 hundred years before the event happened . You can always educate yourself about veracity of those facts.
Here you go. You have started this discussion not me so no apology.

1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD
revealed?1 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a
root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we
shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is
despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with
grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we
            esteemed him not.2
by the benefit of his passion
            4 Surely he
hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him
stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our
transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of
our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.3 4 6 All we
            like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way;
and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.5 7 He was
oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is
brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers
is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and
from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off
out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he
stricken.6 7 9 And he made his grave with the rich and he was with
wicked in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any
            deceit in his mouth.8
            10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him;
he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for
sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure
of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.9 11 He shall see of the travail
of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous
servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore
will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the
spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death:
and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. root@theword.net
This prophecy is history written 200 years in advance. If the prediction is true to the minute details than the explanation must be true as well.
Since you know that all those things are nothing but lies can you please give me your explanation how something meant to be false proved to be true. What’s the probability for false to become true?
And please don’t throw at me barrage of words seasoned with lot of emotions but rather use solid structured logical way of reasoning. However if you believe that there is no such thing as true and false then we may as well end our discussion right here and now.

The Book of Isaiah is considered to be 3 or multiple authors covering +/- 200
            Years.

No record via Neighbouring Nations/Kingdoms exists for King David or
            King Solomon.
Not their Kingdom area holdings,….nor trade,…nor military encounter.

            Nothing!…..both are complete Fiction.
This is not the First case of Hebrews spinning up Fiction.
Their subjugation by Assyria and Babylon brought those cultures ancient
Mytholore and Law to the Hebrews who augmented extant stories,
Spinning accounts to bring Hebrews/Jews to the centric import of the story.

Such as the Noah Flood story being a Fiction off of the Ancient Epic of Gilgamesh

            Excerpt:

The two primary books of the Old Testament – Genesis and Exodus – refer to ‘Pharaoh’ 155 times. Curiously, not once in either book is Pharaoh identified by name – and yet, in fact, the references are to many different pharaohs, across many centuries. The anomaly is all the more telling in that the holy books are not lacking in naming numerous sundry and incidental characters. For example, the grandmother, of the grandmother, of King Asa of Judah was Abishalom, should you be interested! (1 Kings 15.10). But this style of literature should be familiar to us all: “Once upon a time, in a land far away, was a bad king. And in the forest, David played … ”

            It’s called a Fairy Tale.

What happened to Raqqa? Just days ago they were saying they’d take Raqqa, and now they wanna attack Manbij instead, why? Just goes to show the Turks never really cared about defeating ISIL, they only want to kill Kurds.

It took the Turkish & Fake Syrian Army over 3 months to capture Al Bab, and it’s smaller than Manbij and was defended by fewer enemies. If they do manage to approach Manbij they’ll never break through, the Kurds will exact a very high toll on them (with likely more than 100 Turkish military casualties, based on their loses in Al Bab).

The other factor is the US, which may decide they’ve had enough of Erdogan’s little military misadventure and order them to stop attacking its YPG/SDF allies. If not, Turkey will be kicked-out of NATO, face sanctions and possibly war.

Hey Ignorant commentators, do you know how many bombs exploded in 2 years in turkey by PKK(YPG-SDF) attacks and by DAES by live bombs ? and How many innocent people have died? How many syrian refugees live in Turkey because of this war? and what happened syrian lands before Turkish army? who was divided? what was divided? who said that his biggest mistake is syria before in the end of the his presidential(OBAMA)? who are the kominist kurdish groups, what they want to do in syria, turkey, ırak, iran with the help of USA, UE, Israel? what is the purpose of turkey? who lived in syria before the war? where now? Who comes instead of them? i am sure that you have not any idea about real! ALL of you are the victim of fucking perception management! Only lies are shown to you by big killers
