“We have received indications that one of the fugitives in connection with the Paris attacks might be hiding in our area.” a police spokesman said.

A special task force has arrested three people – the circumstances were not disclosed, the DPA agency reports . The identities of the people had not yet been clarified, the interrogations were running. According to information from the Reuters agency, among those detained are two women and one man. Aachen is located near the German border with Belgium and the Netherlands.

Throughout Europe the police is currently searching for the 26-year-old Salah Abdeslaman a brother of a suicide bomber from Paris, an international arrest warrant has been issued.
