The Internet Erupts With Speculation About Who Started The Notre Dame Fire

Update 2: Ever careful to watch for false-flags and conspiracy theory concerns, video is emerging of a Gilets-Jaunes in black clothes at one of the two towers half an hour after the start of the fire at Notre-Dame

One definite way to disenfranchise the yellow vests – as they crush French autocracy – would be to set them up as the fall-guys for this national disaster. Surely that is not possible!

*  *  *

Update 1: A silver lining – if that’s possible: a Catholic priest was today hailed a hero as it emerged he entered the Notre-Dame last night during the height of the inferno to rescue precious cathedral relics including the Crown of Thorns.

The hallowed artefact, which symbolises the wreath of thorns placed on the head of Jesus Christ at his crucifixion, was stored in the cathedral’s treasury and was brought to Paris by French King Louis IX in 1238. Jean-Marc Fournier, Chaplain of Paris Fire Brigade, was also said to have saved the Blessed Sacrament last night from the 850-year-old Gothic masterpiece.

*  *  *

Paris prosecutor Rémy Heitz stressed early indications suggest the fire was accidental, as he added:

Nothing indicates a deliberate act.”

But, as Michael Snyder details below, now that the initial shock of the fire has subsided, the Internet is buzzing with speculation about the origin of the fire.  In the end, there are only two options.  Either this was an accident, or someone intentionally started the fire.  And if the fire was intentionally started, obviously someone had a motive for doing so.

The Internet Erupts With Speculation About Who Started The Notre Dame Fire

Time columnist Christopher J. Hale set off a firestorm of speculation when he tweeted that a friend who works at the cathedral told him “cathedral staff said the fire was intentionally set”…

The Internet Erupts With Speculation About Who Started The Notre Dame Fire

Hale deleted the tweet just a few minutes later.

Was he lying about what he had been told?

Coming from a professional journalist, that doesn’t seem likely.

Instead, it is much more likely that Hale quickly figured out that he said something that he wasn’t supposed to say.

YouTube video that purportedly contains audio of Muslims celebrating the fire at the Notre Dame cathedral has also sparked a lot of speculation.  But at this point there doesn’t appear to be any way to verify the authenticity of the video.

But what we do know is that all of this comes at a time when churches all over France are being attacked.

On March 17th, the second largest church in France erupted in flames, and police later ruled that it was not an accident

While Notre Dame is undoubtedly the most well-known landmark to be affected, Paris’ second largest church, Saint-Sulpice, briefly burst into flames on March 17, the fire damaging doors and stained glass windows on the building’s exterior. Police later reported that the incident had not been an accident.

Overall, a dozen Catholic churches were either set on fire or greatly vandalized during one seven day stretch last month

A dozen Catholic churches have been desecrated across France over the period of one week in an egregious case of anti-Christian vandalism.

The recent spate of church profanations has puzzled both police and ecclesiastical leaders, who have mostly remained silent as the violations have spread up and down France.

Last Sunday, marauders set fire to the church of Saint-Sulpice — one of Paris’ largest and most important churches — shortly after the twelve-o’clock Mass.

And some of the vandalism that was reported during that seven day period was deeply, deeply disturbing

In Nimes (department of the Gard), near the border with Spain, the church of Notre-Dame des Enfants was desecrated in a particularly odious way, with vandals painting a cross with human excrement, looting the main altar and the tabernacle, and stealing the consecrated hosts, which were discovered later among piles of garbage.

Likewise, the church of Notre-Dame in Dijon, in the east of the country, suffered the sacking of the high altar and the hosts were also taken from the tabernacle, scattered on the ground, and trampled.

Could it be possible that there is a connection between those attacks and the fire that just erupted at the Notre Dame cathedral?

That is a question that any decent investigator would be asking at this point.

We also know that anti-Christian and anti-Semitic attacks are on the rise in France.  Just check out these numbers

The number of anti-Semitic attacks (541) rose 74 percent from 2017-2018 while anti-Muslim attacks numbered just 100, the lowest since 2010.

Meanwhile in the same period, there were 1063 anti-Christian attacks, a slight increase on the previous year.

Needless to say, radical Islamists are responsible for most of the attacks against Christians and Jews, and the number of Muslims living in the Paris area has greatly increased in recent years…

According to reports, the number of Jews fleeing France for their safety has dramatically increased since 2000.

In one Paris suburb alone – Seine-Saint-Denis – 40 percent of the population is Muslim while 400,000 illegal immigrants also live there.

But in this politically-correct era, we aren’t supposed to talk about attacks against Christians, and this is especially true if those attacks are conducted by radical Islamists.

On Monday, even anchors at Fox News had apparently been instructed that any speculation about who started the Notre Dame cathedral fire must be immediately shut down.  These days there is very little difference between Fox News and the other major news networks, and that is very unfortunate.

On another note, I also find it very interesting that at one point on Monday a YouTube algorithm linked the fire at the Notre Dame cathedral with the 9/11 attacks

A YouTube feature designed to combat misinformation offered some of its own during a major news event Monday: It linked the fire at the Notre Dame Cathedral to the September 11 terrorist attacks.

The company blamed the mixup on its algorithms. It removed the links on all Notre Dame fire posts after the issue was flagged.

In this day and age, the “spin” is often more important than the actual events themselves.

In the coming days, a tremendous effort will be made to get us to feel a certain way about the Notre Dame cathedral fire.

But what would be so wrong with allowing us to think for ourselves and allowing us to come to our own conclusions?

The Internet was one of the last bastions for global free speech, but now the heavy hand of censorship is descending, and our ability to freely discuss global events is eroding a little bit more with each passing day.

My thoughts 11 hours ago as the blaze raged. A bit like the Reichstag fire back in 33, which eventually led to the banning of the Communist party and shortly afterwards to full blown Fascism

The National Socialist won the democratic elections, and they took majority of the seats in the Reichstag. When they finally won the controlling seats, then it was burned down by Communist.
That is the same way those types are here in the USA. If ultra-leftest cannot have a seat of power, then they want to destroy that seat of power. Also, Fascism was in a different country (Italy) you got the countries mixed up.

The Reichstag fire (German: Reichstagsbrand, About this soundlisten (help·info)) was an arson attack on the Reichstag building, home of the German parliament in Berlin, on Monday 27 February 1933, precisely four weeks after Adolf Hitler was sworn in as Chancellor of Germany. Hitler’s government stated that Marinus van der Lubbe, a Dutch council communist, was found near the building, and they attributed the fire to communist agitators in general—though a German court decided later that year that van der Lubbe had acted alone, as he claimed. After the fire, the Reichstag Fire Decree was passed. The Nazi Party used the fire as a pretext that communists were plotting against the German government, and the event is considered pivotal in the establishment of Nazi Germany. The term “Reichstag fire” has come to refer to false flag actions facilitated by an authority to promote their own interests through popular approval of retribution or retraction of civil rights.
          Pay attention to false flag.

Considering that WW2 was instigated by the ruling class of Britain to, among other objectives, have Germany and Russia destroy each; the story of the Reichstag fire makes sense.

The Nazis didn’t win the majority. They were what is technically called the plurality, the largest fraction, still far from majority. And actually Hitler was the Chancellor even before that because Hindenburg, another fokkin a-hole, appointed him, and I’m pretty sure the HRW wouldn’t have found the 1933 election “free and fair”. Oops, it would, ‘cos the Nazis were our SOBs, sorry…

            Pour Julian Assange

            par Mohamed Belaali

            mercredi 17 avril 2019

Why on earth do you have to contribute to the anti-muslim hysteria? Do you really take infowars.com and all the other idiots seriously? This is getting more and more similar to the anti-semitic hysteria of the Nazi era, mutatis mutandis. Similar BS, similar BS statistics, etc.

Regarding the fire, it started on the roof, near or on an extensive and old wooden structure, the least likely place for an arsonist. And for “anti-christian” vandalism, the French were the vanguard in this regard. One of their most sympathetic periods, the Revolution was famous for its atheism and the complete and active rejection of religiosity, including vandalizing churches, the Notre-Dame among them.

  • Balázs Jávorszky

And the tweet from Christopher Hale reporting what a “Jesuit friend” said about the opinion of the “cathedral staff” (so, this is third hand information, if I’m not mistaken) has problems with common sense. The fire started on the roof where the cathedral staff members are not usually present. That was the area of the renovation workers. If there was anyone from the cathedral on the roof, that person was not doing everyday tasks but surely helped and supervised the workers, and the rumours would be like “the renovation supervisor, Father XX, said he saw whatever”, not some “cathedral staff”.

    • R PLobo

Jesuits are servants of satan = zionazis.

    • goingbrokes

The fire started after 19.00 hours after the cathedral had been closed for the day. No workers on the roof.

      • Balázs Jávorszky

So, no cathedral staff either, if I follow your logic. In other words, I was right. Again. Thanks.

        • goingbrokes

Well, it’s not quite that simple. When the cathedral closes it does not mean that the staff leaves immediately. It just means that the renovation workers pack and go home and public leaves the church. The clergy may still have all kinds of duties after hours. I’d say that is normal.

          • Balázs Jávorszky

A few points. The fire was first reported at 18:20, it didn’t start at 19:00. The clergy normally don’t go to the roof. A normal work site almost never gets completely evacuated after work, eg. there are guards, etc. I don’t know this particular case but very often work is done during the night. All this completely negates your argument.

Actually the most likely reason for the fire is electric short circuit. Very likely the worksite was full of cabling/equipment (like the elevator motor, lighting stuff, etc.) and this, combined with flammable material (wooden structures, extensive dust build up, certain materials for renovation etc.) caused the fire.

          • goingbrokes

Your second paragraph shows that you have no idea about the procedures around renovating national monuments. The idea that it was that kind of accident (or accident at all) is laughable. Stop digging, the hole you’re in is already deep enough.

          • Balázs Jávorszky

Hm. Interesting. Because of my alleged inexperiencedness regarding “renovating national monuments” your argument magically comes back into life. Somehow the 19:00 closing becomes relevant again. With clergy on the roof. Sorry, it doesn’t work this way. And please give us some guidance how “the procedures around renovating national monuments” look like, because I’ve got doubts you’re highly knowledgeable in this.

Oops, another thing about Hale’s original revelation. The Nontre-Dame is actually owned by the French state, not by the Church, this latter is just using it (formally leasing it, as far as I know). This means any supervising is most probably done by state employees, while the “cathedral staff” was most likely meant as part of the clergy. Actually it wasn’t specified, could be understood both ways, but the way it was presented made the impression of them being part of the clergy. Anyway, I find it very likely that for normal clergy the worksite was out of bounds, and from the Church just senior experts could go there, and any meaningful work including guarding and supervising was done by state employees or secular contractors.

          • goingbrokes
          • Balázs Jávorszky

Do you really believe this is the definite proof that it couldn’t be an accident? Is this your alleged expertise, or at least the demonstration that I’m allegedly clueless? Are you serious?

          • goingbrokes

Yes, it is absolute proof that ancient oak is incredibly difficult to light up. I have personally have to deal with ancient oak but you can believe whatever you like. You come across as a reasonable person but when it comes to real investigation you refuse to look at anything other than the official line. I don’t know a single respectable analyst or intelligence blogger who thinks this is an accident. Your refusal to look at anything other than the official line marks you as a paid blogger and a disinformation front. Thanks for your responses but I’m not going to waste any more time on you.

          • Balázs Jávorszky

“Yes, it is absolute proof that ancient oak is incredibly difficult to light up.”
First, thank you for my characterization as a reasonable person, so I go for reasoning. As to the experiment, even if it’s true, it doesn’t prove anything. We don’t know why that specific piece of oak didn’t light up. Perhaps it was painted with a certain paint. Perhaps it wasn’t that dry. This itself should be investigated, this is the scientific method. One thing is sure: old wooden structures easily and quickly burn down.

But even assuming the experiment is okay, there are thing to consider. The beam was smouldering afterwards, ie. there remained a possible core for a fire. In these settings very important factor is air movement, it is likely that it wasn’t advantageous in the case of Notre-Dame. Ie. wind can literally fan the flames, and I reckon it was the case on the roof. Of course this is speculation but if you want an analogue, please consider aircraft fires. Jet fuel can be used to extinguish simple fires, but an aircraft catch fire extremely easily.

But even if we assume that it is virtually impossible to light up oak, the right question is whether there was ONLY oak in the roof of the Notre-Dame. I thought the beams were mostly pine, for example. Another thing is that it is very likely that dust build up was present. Disturbed, airborne dust can be very dangerous, sometimes it can act as gun powder. This is the reason why flour mills were not operated during the night. Etc.

          • Balázs Jávorszky

I wrote a reply but apparently that got lost. It was something like that: so my alleged clueless approach somehow magically resurrected your original argument regardless of the fact that the 19:00 time is irrelevant? And all the other things about how it is very unlikely that the “cathedral staff” could’ve observed those things? And actually, please teach us about “procedures around renovating national monuments”. I seriously doubt you’re that knowledgeable.
Another point is that the Nontre-Dame is French state property, not Church property, and while the expression “cathedral staff” is quite ambiguous in this regard, most people assumed it referred to the clergy. But the relevant personnel in this case are state employees and contractors, and those are unlikely to be called “cathedral staff”. The Church may have had some senior level observers/experts. But if so, we should know names and not some vague third hand account.

          • Balázs Jávorszky

            Notre-Dame. Mispelling. Sorry.

          • Balázs Jávorszky

Actually the French investigators think the same as me. https://www.rt.com/news/456943-notre-dame-fire-short-circuit/

Al Aqsa burned at the same time, most people have missed this incident , firefighters managed to extinguish this fire before any real big dmg was done, coincidence? theres an agenda active to discord society all over the world, but especially now in Europe, burning holy sites can be part of it.

    • Alejandro Bonifacio

I read un Sputnik news that event perhaps was Made by children who were playing with fireworks, according to some people whom are guardians of that Holy place

      • Harry Smith

@alejandrobonifacio:disqus do you know that Al Aqsa stands on the place where Jewish Temple was build. So, if anybody wants to build the 3d Temple, he or she or they have to demolish Al Aqsa.

        • Sinbad2

If the Jews wanted Al Aqsa gone, they would simply bulldoze it, they don’t give a fk what others think.

          • Harry Smith

Al Aqsa is linked to the Quran prophecy. Once 3d temple is build it will be the obligation for every Muslim to kill all the Jews they will meet.

          • ahmadjundi2

            quruan propechy
            you mean some hadeath prophocy

        • Omega

Al-Aqsa standing on the location of the Second Temple is a myth invented by the (British) Masonic Temple Mount lunatics to foment tensions and conflict between Muslims and Jews.

Nothing otherwise, both in historical description (dimensions, etc) and what not, attest that the Jewish temple ever sat there.

          • Harry Smith

Let’s say you are right. Can you then give me a logical reason why Jews didn’t build the 3d temple until now?

          • Omega

Aside from the zealot religious minority, most of the world’s Jews and Israelis are secular and can care less about the third temple. If they did, they would have elected the ultra-far-ring Moshe Feiglin – who promulgated the building of the temple – at the recent elections. Instead, he went down the bin.

          • Harry Smith

Aside from the zealot religious minority, most of the world’s Jews and Israelis are secular

Could you please be so kind and show me the source of this statistics?

    • Sinbad2

So you are suggesting that Muslims would burn their own Mosque to piss off Christians?

      • Or that right wing Christians would burn an iconic church to demonise Muslims.
Reminds e of the Reichstag fire which Hitler used to both take power and demonise communists.

  • iosongasingsing

Did ISIS claim anything? Did Eva Katz find the culprits? Then the track leads to Israel.

Americans see conspiracies in every crop circle, they were the last nation to have witch trials.
They always have been a bunch of primitives with modern weapons.

    • Real Anti-Racist Action

The last nation to have witch trials??
I can name a minimum of 20 nations today who have weekly Witch Trials in 2018 and 2019 lol.

        Tennessee and Missouri?

  • The man in the yellow safety gear and hard hat in the video above is obviously checking the structural integrity of the building, not fleeing as a perpetrator. Then there are the commenters here who seek to cast blame on specific groups out of sheer bloody racism. There will probably be blood on the streets from innocent refugees fleeing just such things in their own countries, sometimes even those perpetrated by French actions. It is most likely that an electrical fault or a cigarette thrown into a pile of cleaning cloths started the blaze. But that is too simple an explanation for those who seek to sow racial discord in France.

mossad started the thing, they are much for conflagrations since it takes eyes off the genocide the squatters are perpetrating on the land they’ve stolen.

evict the squatters now never to return. diaspora 2.0 awaits the scum.

  • Sinbad2

All these conspiracy theories, it seems humans are regressing, and every event has some secret meaning.
A lot of people here would still believe in witches and Goblins, and think Lord of the Rings is real history.
I am losing faith in man, we are destined to follow the dinosaurs, we are just too stupid to survive as a species.

  • Justin

The will blame yellow vests for sure but this will backfire greatly if they do! French people are just too smart for this! They know that when terrorist attacks place that its 95% chance its black hats doing it!

    • daniel

Sorry, French are stupid, Macron came from nowhere and French voted for him,

  • daniel

Why they dont blame Iran for the fire?!

If true (rhetorical); at least, they were not dancing and “documenting the event” like some Israelis on 9/11 as it was unraveling.

The Five Dancing Israelis Arrested On 9-11
    http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/fiveisraelis.html

  • verner

mossad mossad mossad need not be more specific than that!

  • Tommy Jensen

I was the first one who started it and I was right. Five dancing persons were arrested nearby and new Syrian passports were found near Notre Dame by our Intelligence services. Maduro and also Putin were seen close to the fire scene.
This is the primary findings that needs further investigations. Note human errors happens everywhere.
You fail, they fail and the society fail together. Everybody fail.

Seems (((someone))) has been going to great lengths lately to inflame bad blood between Christians and Muslims, seems like (((they))) are getting ready to start war with Iran – insane
