Syria's Forces Make Gains in Aleppo City

On April 14, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies launched a military operation in the city of Aleppo. The Syrian forces already captured al-Mallah farms cutting the militants’ supply line to Al-Ramouseh Industrial District.

AlMasdarNews reports:

Furthermore, breaking reports indicate that government troops are storming the western section of the Handarat housing, with skirmishes ongoing near the district’s Palestine Mosque and Zuhair Mohsen School. This attack has been launched from the nearby Quarries.

According to reports, retreating al-Nusra militants fired dozens of rockets at residential areas. “Dozens” civilian casualties are reported.

The advance comes amid the reports that al Nusra deployed about 10,000 militants in the area of Aleppo in order to start offensive actions in the nearest future.
