On May 26, warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force and the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out airstrikes on ISIS’s areas of influence in Syria’s central region.

Syrian warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on hideouts of ISIS cells in the outskirts of the town of Uqayribat in the eastern Hama countryside, while Russian warplanes targeted caves and dens where terrorists of the group had been taking shelter near the town of al-Resafa in the southern countryside of Raqqa.

While losses in the ranks of ISIS cells were reported, the exact results of the Syrian and Russian airstrikes are yet to be revealed.

The airstrikes were carried out in support of the ongoing military operation in the central region, which was launched SAA and its allies on May 20.

The operation is meant to secure vast parts of the region, from the eastern Homs countryside all the way to the eastern Hama countryside, the southern Aleppo countryside and the southern Raqqa countryside.

The SAA’s elite 25th Special Mission Forces Division, also known as the Tiger Forces, is reportedly leading the large-scale operation.

Instead of hiding in remote parts of the central region as they usually do, ISIS cells have made attempts to confront the SAA and its allies. Between May 24 and 25, the terrorists ambushed several units taking part in the operation, killing at least one officer.

The SAA and its allies will not likely conclude their operation in central Syria before the end of May. The operation may go on for several more weeks.

A tall blond man who was previously a Russian soldier and then a Wagner soldier wanders the streets of Venezuela dressed in Venezuelan military clothing and sings the song Guantanamera. He assists in the patrol of the Venezuelan police while singing. Whose is it now? Putin’s or Maduro’s man? Hezbollah terrorist dressed as a Russian soldier walking around Ukraine. Whos is he?
