Syrian government forces have continued to develop momentum in southern Idlib and liberated Tal Afghar from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda).

Previously, government troops established control over Ruwaydah, Tall Khinzir, Zafaria, Shutaib and other points in the area.
According to local sources, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham is now regrouping its forces and preparing to attack government forces in southern Idlib and southern Aleppo.

Iranian-backed forces are deploying reinforcements to the cities of al-Qaim and al-Bukamal in the Syrian-Iraqi border area, according to pro-government sources.

Experts link the growing activity of the Iranian-backed forces with the recently opened land route that links Teheran, Baghdad, Damascus and Beirut. The Al-Bukamal-Deir Ezzor part of the road is its most vulnerable segment because it borders with the ISIS-held part of the Homs-Deir Ezzor desert.

Last weekend, reports appeared that the first Iranian military convoy crossed into Syria via the recently established land route. If Iran seeks to provide supplies via the road on a regular basis, it will need additional forces to defend them while the threat of ISIS remains.

On December 18 and 19, clashes between protesters and security forces of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) left 16 protesters dead and over 90 injured, according to local sources covering the tensions. According to reports, the KRG security forces opened fire and used tear gas on the protestors after they had torched some offices of the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) loyal to former KRG President Massoud Barzani.

The KRG has been facing a significant pressure since the illegal independence referendum held in the KRG-held area in September. The KRG was not able to use the referendum to further its own interest. In fact, it lost a number of contested areas and then faced an additional pressure at the regional and international levels. Subsequently KRG President Barzani resigned. Now, the region is facing an internal political and economic crisis.

Im sure they are not. Hard to understand any jews are in this at all.

    • Jens Holm

They dont. They just need local rule as in many other parts of the world is normal and make progress by better solutions.

      • Smith Ricky

They accepted USA’s help instead of the legitmate Syrian government. Which is what made them traitors.

  • You can call me Al

Syria, from now on, there are no humanitarian bus loads of vermin to other places, they must be eliminated, before it is too late. The Yanks are bringing them all together according to this article – https://journal-neo.org/2017/12/19/israel-saudi-arabia-and-the-us-are-about-to-invade-syria/

Russia and those Chinese (if they can grow a pair), better be ready.

    • Icarus Tanović

      Don’t believe what you read.

    • Jens Holm

Baathistas are branding themselves very well as killers of Syrians all over the world.

  • Thegr8rambino

very nice :)))) may Iran and its new Persian empire exist for the rest of eternity, and may its enemies lifespans’ grow shorter by the day :)))

    • Icarus Tanović

Amin to that! God bless you!

    • Solomon Krupacek

      • Thegr8rambino

i rather you and saudi behind the iron curtain and Iran dominating entire middle east for the rest of time :))))

        • Solomon Krupacek

not me, only china, russia, iran, usa, israel. :)

          • Thegr8rambino

            what?

          • Jens Holm

You might turn on the WATT Yourself.

          • Thegr8rambino

            lol WATT??

          • Solomon Krupacek

            all imperialistc countries.

          • Thegr8rambino

Not Iran, they are not putting bases or doing things to other countries against their will, they only helpt their allies and eliminate potential threats

          • Solomon Krupacek

but iran also want mix in the iner politics of other countries.

          • Thegr8rambino

So does US, Israel, Saudis, UK, and pretty much any other country with capability to do so. Besides, Iran is the most civilized and best country to lead the entire middle east to prosperity and greatness

          • Solomon Krupacek

iran is barbaric country. theocratic, ugly islamic country. no leadership!!!

          • Thegr8rambino

fuck u i am iranian ur 100% wrong, iran doesnt behead people or did not forbid women from driving or forbid movie theaters

    • Jens Holm

Haha. They just grab Your oil if there are no leftovers from Russia doing the same thing.

      OIL FOR WEAPON.

      • Thegr8rambino

        no thats what US does

        • Jens Holm

I cant see USA are doing that and have no reason for oil of only local interest.

Its only fore local use as well as some income for as small country, but its mainly too thick making too much asphalt as well as filled with HSO4.

You should look more up who the oil then will be controlled by. How did Syria fx get that loan by the chineses ? 20% already is payback to Russia for weapon and fuel.

          • Thegr8rambino

I dont know u tell me

    WTH?
With all the hype by Iraq, Iran, Syria and Hizbola that ISIS being defeated and Russia pulling out a lot of its military saying same thing, there sure seems to be a heck of a lot of shooting and killing still ongoing.
Iraq is not an Iranian Military ally, it has treaty obligations with US and Euro’s.
So please do not get too high a hopes for this hi-way.
Iran cannot ever fully protect that road, it would take thousands of ready airborne strike forces with air cover.
The war of US inspired terror will not end until Assad is dead and Damascus kisses US Irael and NATO butts.
There will be no peace in Syria, as even Iraq’s Kurdish peanuts carry out terror attacks in Iran, and Syrian Kurds will gladly do US bidding.
Lots of movement at training grounds in Jordan, and they will not be some untrained fanatics and chaos instigators but experienced and well trained and armed military force.

    • Smith Ricky

      Butthurt

  • Hide Behind

US spec ops have been carrying out killer raids in Yeman for two (2) years now and have Spec Ops from damn near every Euro And 3 Latin American, and Jordanian Spec forces runni g missions in Syria without Syrian or Houti forces stopping them.
In this day and age of hi-tech drones and long range missles, come now.

    • Jens Holm

Thats right. No one else is there and all is to blame USA even Nasser being there some years ago.

I dont remember any time in the history, where yemenites were not figting each other or against neigbors.

It is said Arabs come from there 1 climbing down from some Moccatree having its bad temper from that and some transplanted a wife from him as well. thats why wifes as not treated well and sometimes hardly as when You buy and sell cars.

      Keep smiling.

      • Hide Behind

        Could well be!
After all most of “civilized nations” people’s think their ancestors climbed down from trees to go take a look around.
And I imagine if ones family came from one tree and met others with a different family tree, all he’ll broke loos , with lots of grunted vile obscenities as they first clubbed each other, and finding tenderized
meat , sat down for a smorgusbord.
Being civilized today we have progressed little, we no longer eat those of differing family trees, we still grunt out insults and vile obscenities as we kill them, because we now just blow them into mush, preferring Mc Donalds and Burger King, and Jack-In Box, and KFC mush instead..
