The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) denied handing over any village in western or northern Aleppo countryside to any group in the Free Syrian Army (FSA).
“I am present now in Tel Rifaat, and I want to reassure everyone that the towns of Tel Rifaat, Sheikh Eisa, Ein Duqna, Mennag and the Menage airport are completely under SDF control,” the pro-SDF news agency ARA News quoted Abu Araj, an SDF officer, in its article on the issue.
In the few last days many reports claimed that the SDF was going to hand over the strategic town of Tal-Riffat and many other villages around Aleppo to pro-Turkish militant groups of the Free Syrian Army (FSA).
Sources in Jaish Al-Islam claimed that the SDF had handed over Tal-Riffat to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA). However, a commander in the SDF denied this claims and stated that all of this villages are under SDF control only.
Meanwhile, the SDF backed up by the US-led collation continued its operations around the city of Tabqah in the Raqqah province. The SDF captured Abed village west of Tabqah and carried out many raids against ISIS terrorists around Tabqah.
From its side ISIS claimed that its snipers had killed 4 SDF fighters in the town of Al-A’aeuj in the northern Raqqah countryside. The ISIS-linked Amaq news agency has also released photos of clashes between ISIS and SDF fighters in the same area.
Earlier this week, the SDF announced that its next target will be the Raqqah northern countryside.
