The Syrian Army has expanded its military presence near the towns of Manbij and al-Malikiyah in northern Syria, according to the country’s state-run media. The deployment of the Syrian Army is ongoing near the contact line with Turkish-led forces in Syria and near the Turkish border in the framework of the agreements reached by Damascus and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Nonetheless, the Damascus government and the SDF leadership are yet to reach a wider political agreement.
