On August 3, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) showcased loads of weapons and ammunition, which were recovered from Free Syrian Army (FSA) groups in the southern governorate of al-Quneitra over the last few weeks.
The weapons included four US-made TOW anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), two Bulgarian-made Fagot ATGMs and one, also Bulgarian-made, Konkurs ATGM with its launcher.
The SAA also recovered several Croatian-made RBG-6 40mm grenade launchers and a single RPG-29 launcher with several anti-tank rocket-propelled ganders.
Other items, including US-supplied communication systems, equipment of the Western-backed “Whit Helmets” and Israeli medical and food supplies, were also showcased by the SAA.
Last week, the FSA in al-Quneitra handed over four battle tanks and several armored vehicles and artillery pieces to the SAA. The handover of these weapons is a part of an evaluation agreement, which was reached on July 27.
