On Friday, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies captured all the heights surrounding Humaymah village in the eastern Homs countryside near the Syrian-Iraqi border, according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria. Humaymah village is now under the SAA fire control.

Pro-government sources predicted that ISIS will withdrew from the village soon.

On August 17, the SAA repelled an attack of ISIS on its position in the northwestern side of Humaymah village. The Hezbollah media wing in Syria claimed that SAA destroyed a VBIED, 4 armored vehicles and a tank of ISIS during the clashes.

If the SAA captures Humaymah it will be able to launch more effective attacks on the strategic T-2 stations west of al-Bukamal city in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside.

Meanwhile, the SAA and its allies also captured al-Taliah al-Garbiah and al-Taliah al-Sahrqiah villages east of al-Shumariah mount in the eastern Homs countryside.

Have you noticed how, AFTER Obama stopped helping ISIS, Assad and his allies are defeating the Wahhabist ?

    • al quaida

Did you notice how, BEFORE Obama stopped helping ISIS, it was Russian assistance that turned the tide of the war? Apparently not…

      • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Assad had almost beaten all the rebel factions and ISIS if it wasn’t for the US tactical and aerial assistance none of these groups would be around today. The fact that it wasn’t until recently Obama’s secret executive order was rescinded never mind the official order. You need to get your facts straight before you make a comment or just go join the Jewish/USA trolls in Hasbaria.

        • al quaida

It’s difficult to reply to your points because I don’t really know what they are. But if you are trying to suggest that Assad only started making gains against the rebels once Trump rescinded Obama’s executive order in June this year…then that is laughable.

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

This was before Obama made his written executive order publicly which covered all opposition factions and openly promoted, but he had already a written one when these very same factions were being defeated. Obama supported ISIS but not the opposition factions , you do know ISIS and Al Qaeda are the same group. Russia only started providing Military assistance in 2015 before that , they hadn’t provided much since they weren’t established for years in the region like the US which has openly attacked Syria while violating every law known and even humanitarian laws.

You sound like an idiot US soldier in the military, hope not for your sake.

          • al quaida

You do know by definition that all US soldiers are in the military right?
Once again I’m not sure what point you are trying to make, and I don’t know if you do either. That’s probably why you’re ending your posts with childish insults as that is the real intent behind your verbal diarrhea.

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The point being in the military and serving currently you are not allowed to be discussing politics or the military which is a breach of military ethics. Fact Russia provided no military assistance until September 30 2015 next month they will have been there 2 months and the US has achieved very little against ISIS and so has their Proxy which combined have only been fought by ISIS 17% of the time. Now someone with half a brain would seee how ineffectual they have actually have been . Time for you to take your childish nonsense and hang your head in shame.

          • al quaida

Can you just take a deep breath, collect your thoughts, and then articulate what your point of difference is with me?
Your latest statement just confirmed what I originally said: It is Russian support that is defeating ISIS, which began before Obama left the white house.

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

ISIS only grew with the US helping and conducting airstrikes in the beginning , just as they had aided the other Hardcore Islamist groups they like to call the rebels. Deir ezzor was meant to smash up ISIS in their attempts on it but the US/Coalition was more interested in the removal of Assad because Israel asked the US to do since he was asking for Israel to honor the agreement they made to the UN. in regards to the Jawlan Heights or as Israel calls it the Golan Heights. They need someone compliant so they won’t have to return the region to Syria since this is very rich in resources which they illegally invaded in 1967 and a Israeli leader admitted they knew they weren’t being attacked by anyone at the time.

          • al quaida

            Agreed!

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The US has never stopped funding the other Islamist groups and offer advisers in support called the two faces have witnessed them assaulting SAA positions and failing before nothing new there. They watched thi time as Sharqiyah and Ahmad ‘Abdo groups failed to storm 3 new garrison points in Suweida and retreated to Jordan.

Even it would be true what you say (which is not, Obama helped ISIS until January 19, 2017 and probably even now he helps them with money, influence and even with his namaz). You just said that Assad was not able to win a war against US, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and of course Israel. But he did a pretty good face in this war and he didn’t run… He choose to stay. Then Russia and Iran came to help and not much left from the black coalition.

  • Lupus

SAA and allies keep making good progress. Look at the map begin this year and now. My guess the battle for DeZ starts early next year

    • Daniel

Well if we are optimistic then maybe mid November this year. Depends on how many terrorists are left in the eastern Hama pocket (soon to be 2 pockets).

    • gustavo

The battle for DeZ must not start next year, that would be too late for SAA, it must start next month. This is possible if Russia increases its air cover and help to Syria-Hezbolah-Iran armies.

    • John Brown

More likely battle for Deir Azur starts in September.
