On November 5, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) released a video of the weapons and ammunition, which were captured by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) from ISIS during the battle for Deir Ezzor city. The video showed dozens of light weapons like Ak-47 automatic rifles along with heavy 12.7mm, 14.5mm, 23mm guns.
The video also showed that the SAA captured dozens of RPG-7 launchers and SPG-9, B-10 recoilless rifles. The SAA also captured various night vision, observation and communication equipment.
Furthermore, the SAA captured dozens of drones, which had been used by ISIS to monitor and even attack government troops Deir Ezzor city.
The Syrian state TV said that the SAA captured six battle tanks (T-55 and T-72) during the Deir Ezzor battle. Moreover, the SAA captured an ISIS vehicle-borne improvised explosive device with unspecified toxic chemicals.
A SAA officer told the Syrian TV reporter that the weapons that were displayed represents only 10% of what the SAA captured in Deir Ezzor. The Syrian TV reporter added that these weapons were brought from two ammo depots of ISIS inside the city. Dozens of similar ammo depots were captured by the SAA during the battle, according to the reporter.
