On August 22, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) Tiger Forces successfully continued their operation against ISIS and liberated Dahr Hamra, Latum Ghabiri, Souq, Qasr Hayr Sharqi and Kuwayr in the province of Homs.

On August 23, the Tiger Forces developed momentum in the Zaheq Mount area west of Dahr Matla. They need to secure the entire mountain to close the pocket. Separately the SAA advanced in the northern direction from Sukhna and seized Wadi Abu Zillah.

The gap between the government-held areas north of Sukhna and south of Taybah are now about 5 km.

Media also speculate that the Tiger Forces seized Rujm al Hajanah and Jabal Dabbah in the direction of Deir Ezzor.

Interesting development, most likely the two pockets, one with a valve, will be secured first now. With that, hopefully finished soon, reaching Deir Ezzor finally becomes a real proposition. It would slice Daesh apart west of the Euphrates and open the gate to the east beyond the river.

Make no mistake SAA, Daesh is not done yet. Cleaning the pocket in the west is mandatory, to keep Al-Qaeda (HTS) and Daesh apart, if they should decide to attack the life line towards Aleppo. We will see how long it takes to kick Daesh out of the difficult terrain. Hopefully it won’t take too long.

Central Syria around Sukhna probably will be more of a fight, even though Tigers are already positioning themselves closer to Deir Ezzor. But Daesh is thrown off balance there. It’s unlikely that they get back on track with SAA pushing ever further.

With Deir Ezzor being reached, Ma’adan would turn to a new pocket, probably being wiped out with SAA advancing alongside the river.

If the 20.000 men for Daesh were true, how much do they have left now, after all these defeats and bombings? There is no chance for Daesh to replace the losses with meaningful reinforcements.

I don’t think ISIS is in it to win anymore. Not for a long time They’re now going for a Nazi style Götterdammerung end battle in Syria and Iraq and probably setting themselves up as some sort of international franchise, like Al-Qaida did. Where they can claim they’re still around just because some local group of thugs decided to become part of their franchise.

Probably the key to preventing their Nazi style Götterdammerung end battle is to keep them off balance. Which it would appear the SAA/Russians/Iranians/Hezbollah are doing. As opposed to the Kurds, the Iraqi army and the US, which seems to be all about going for the big juicy symbolic target and then be suckered in into a war of attrition. Raqqa and Mosul had no real military value, other then symbolic, whereas the real striking power and might of ISIS was not in those cities. And yet the Coalition fell for it hook, line and sinker. Twice! I do wonder if ISIS hopes to finally sucker the SAA into this with Deir Ezzor.

Always against Nazis, Are you stupid? If they would have won WWII we won’ t have these problems in the Middle East causing for 90% by the zios/jews supporting zios).

        • Barba_Papa

Who says you wouldn’t have problems? As far as Der Fuhrer was concerned only white Europeans of good Germanic stock would do, the rest were just Untermenschen. Including Arabs. Which he probably considered as useful idiots against the Jews and the British. For all we know after exterminating the Jews the Arabs would be next, being of semitic stock as well.

DE is no battle for Daesh, as SAA already has secured positions in the close vicinity and knows very well Daesh positions.

Furthermore, the size of DE does not support a Mosul or Raqqa style battle, already Sukhna proved that it didn’t work. Even worse, DE is split in two big parts, with the middle quite easy to control for the force with advantage.

Probably, one of the reasons why Daesh pushed against SAA at Ma’adan too, as the city is too small for a Mosul like battle.

Anyway, I more expect SAA to connect with the besieged forces first. Only after that, we probably will see the real battle for control over the city being unleashed.

If they have some 20.000 men then this counts for Syria AND Iraq. If?

      • Jan Tjarks

According to the source it was overall Syria and Iraq, including Raqqa. As such we can considers this number as had, as many since then got kia.

        • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

There are believed to be 2000 still in Raqqa , civilian population is between 25,000-50,000 there they do everything to isolate the people in these camps near there.

Syrian Arab Army has already advanced towards DE and are still pushing on the flanks too.

  • RichardD

The Jew world order regime change elements are sitting ducks in the open desert with no civilians around and precision air strikes from Russian, Syrian and Iranian aircraft, including armed drones. Areas of interest to the Syrian government coalition are under 24/7, or close to it, drone, manned recon aircraft, and or satellite surveillance. Their positions and movements are being tracked real time around the clock.

From the published statistics that look like they’re from credible sources. The invaders are getting hit with air strikes on average every hour or less, day after day, week after week. That adds up after a while and doesn’t include surface to surface strikes from artillery, rocket and missile fire. With no money, resupply, reinforcement and probably limited communications. It shouldn’t be surprising that the regime change project is rapidly collapsing in areas with little civilian presence where they’re being or are surrounded and subject to industrial decimation.

With the river to the east providing a natural barrier, most of eastern Syria east of these positions is also isolated and in very similar circumstances. Once these pockets in Homs are cleared and garrisoned and the Syrian government coalition moves east. That area is going to be a repeat of what’s happening now west of these positions where the regime change is rapidly collapsing.

Let me point out that the “regimen change” was the excuse to create ISIS-Daesh-FSA and moderated terrorists by USA-NATO-Israel to “destroy Syria.” That was the real goal, and they were successful in this matter.

      • RichardD

The goal was to destroy the threat to Israel, which is the primary purpose of the war, it was worse than a failure, because it exponentially strengthened it instead.

        • John Brown

Only partially correct Richard that is the first part of the Yinon Plan.
“[The Yinon plan] is an Israeli strategic plan to ensure Israeli regional superiority. It insists and stipulates that Israel must reconfigure its geo-political environment through the balkanization of the surrounding Arab states into smaller and weaker states.
          http://www.globalresearch.ca/greater-israel-the-zionist-plan-for-the-middle-east/5324815
The Atlantic, in 2008, and the U.S. military’s Armed Forces Journal, in 2006, both published widely circulated maps that closely followed the outline of the Yinon Plan. Aside from a divided Iraq, which the Biden Plan also calls for, the
Yinon Plan calls for a divided Lebanon, Egypt, and Syria. The
partitioning of Iran, Turkey, Somalia, and Pakistan also all fall into
line with these views. The Yinon Plan also calls for dissolution in
North Africa and forecasts it as starting from Egypt and then spilling
over into Sudan, Libya, and the rest of the region.
This article was first published on Global Research on April 29, 2013.
          Global Research Editor’s Note:
The following document pertaining to the formation of “Greater
Israel” constitutes the cornerstone of powerful Zionist factions within
the current Netanyahu government, the Likud party, as well as within the Israeli military and intelligence establishment.
There are different variations of the Yinon plan. The main thing is to expand the territory of Israel through military means. It is very simple as with every expansionist empire Israel will grab any territory it can.

Israel has 100 plus UN and other resolutions against it that it is in violation of, including the recently passed 2334 that partially or completely extinguishes the Balfour Declaration and San Remo Resolution. When the Syrian war is over Israel will have a conventional and nuclear superior force on it’s northern border capable with other regional and international elements of helping to implement the resolutions that Israel is in violation of. And on an as needed basis disarming Israel and rolling armored columns into Tel Aviv to accept the Jew’s unconditional surrender and the return of everything that they’ve stolen.

The Jew pedophile rape cult should be outlawed and have it’s assets confiscated and leaders and practitioners imprisoned for statutory rape and other crimes. The Jews can’t occupy Gaza, let alone southern Lebanon, Syria , Egypt or Jordan. They almost got overrun in 73 and if it wasn’t for a massive US airlift, including 100 modern fighter jets and missiles to prevent them from using nukes. The war would have ended much differently.

About all that they accomplish is trouble. Which is why world and increasingly US public opinion is against them. The US veto is slipping as 2334 shows. And Chapter 7 resolutions and the military and other preparations to implement it are being worked on.

Richard D. You made a mistake and its a big one, its not the Jew world order, its the racist supremacist Jewish world order. You make it sound like a good thing that way without realizing it, as your description does not really say what it is all about, the oppression and enslavement of billions of Goyims and the murdering of hundreds of millions of innocent Goyims If you want to win get it right.
