A gathering of the Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group in al-Qanto village, located in Talbiseh region of northern Homs province, was attacked by Syrian troops. As a result, over 20 members of the group, including Seifulldeen al-Omar, Mohammad Abdul Rahman Lola, Hassan al-Hassan, Tariq al-Ahdab and Tahir al-Asmar were killed, while their mortar launchers and military vehicles were destroyed.

On Thursday, Arab media reported, citing unnamed military sources, that the Syrian Army repelled several massive attacks of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group on their positions in the eastern parts of Tadmur (Palmyra) in Homs province, but, at the same time, clashes near the two oil-rich regions of al-Sha’er and Maher resumed.

According to the sources, Syrian troops and IS terrorists also clashed in al-Sawame and Jabal Antar district in the northern parts of Palmyra. As a result, terrorists suffered heavy losses and damages.

Meanwhile, a series of artillery attacks was launched by the Syrian Army on gathering centers of the IS in the region.

In addition, Syrian soldiers also resumed clashes with IS terrorists near Huweises region, as well as near al-Maher and al-Sha’er oil fields in eastern Homs.

At the same time, IS strongholds in al-Sukhnah and the nearby areas were pounded by the Syrian Air Force.

Also in the Northern parts of Homs, terrorists’ centers in al-Rastan city were struck by the Syrian Army, while IS positions in the towns of al-Houla and al-Qanto were heavily bombed by Syrian fighter jets.
