Syrian Army advances in northern Aleppo

AlMasdarNews reports: The Syrian Armed Forces launched a powerful assault on Sunday morning to seize the strategic Al-Malaah Farms that are located in the northern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate.

Leading the charge on Sunday was the Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces,” who broke through the jihadist rebel defenses and seized the eastern farms of Al-Malaah after a fierce battle in northern Aleppo.

Following the capture of the eastern farms, the Syrian Armed Forces advanced to the poorly fortified northern farms, where they were able to once again overrun the jihadist rebels en route to securing this rural area.

According to an Al-Masdar correspondent that is embedded with the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Armed Forces killed an estimated 15 enemy combatants while capturing the northern farms of Al-Malaah.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Armed Forces themselves suffered minimal casualties, thanks in large part to the Russian Air Force’s large presence above northern Aleppo.

Assisting the Tiger Forces in Al-Malaah were the pro-government militias that comprised of the National Defense Forces (NDF), Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary), 4th Mechanized Division, and Kataebat Al-Ba’ath (Al-Ba’ath Battalions).
