Syrian Army Advances Along Resafa-Sukhna Road, Reaches Bir al-Zamlah Crossroad (Map Update)

On Thursday, the Syrian Arab Army Tiger Forces and tribal forces, backed up by the Russian Aerospace Forces, have launched a military operation against in the southwestern part of Raqqah province. Initially, pro-government troops advanced south of Resafa and liberated Bir al Zenati, Bir Itaw and Bir Hiwaran villages. On Friday, they captured Ridgem-Abe el-Kalat Hills and deployed in a striking distance from the Dubaysan oil field and the Bir al-Zamlah crossroad.

According to pro-government sources, the ongoing anti-ISIS operation involves about 6,500 fighters from Raqqah tribes loyal to the Syrian government. However, this number cannot be confirmed independently.

            No I am not . But I knew pro gov people and I talk to them to get some info about the advances and the possible operations . I live in East Europe . I also talk to pro rebel but they rarely share anything

            Thanks for your answer. May I ask: According to locals in Syria, what is the % of pro Assad (secular state) and % of pro rebels of all sorts?

            I canr say with full accuracy but it should be around 60 – 70 percent . The goverment have support in the major cities . And the biggest pro rebel area is Idlib I will say . Some pro gov people I talk alsy say DZ countryside .

    they should attack in direction maadan and secure the right bank of euphrates.

      anything they do near the euphrates, the US backed SDF forces can cut them off very quickly, and they will but i understand your sentiments.
