Syria Will Get S-300 Air Defense System Within 2 Weeks: Shoigu

FILE IMAGE: RIA

Syria will get a S-300 air defense system from Russia within two weeks, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu officially announced on September 24. He pointed out that the S-300 system will boost air defense capabilities of the Syrian military.

Shoigu recalled that in 2013 Russia halted S-300 systems supplies to Syria upon request from Israel. However, now the situation is different.

The Russian decision is likely a result of the recent developments over the IL-20 shootdown off Syrian coast on September 17. According to data provided by the Russian military the IL-20 was shot down by Syrian air defense fire as a result of actions of the Israeli military and its warplanes: Israel violated the deconfliction agreement with Russia, provided missinformation to the Russian side as well as Israeli F-16 warplanes were using the IL-20 as a cover from Syrian anti-air missiles.

However, the Israeli military denounced the data provided by the Russians as fake and claimed that Syria, Iran and even Hezbollah are the side responsible for the incident.  Furthermore, Israeli Defense Minister stated that Israel will continue act as it wants in the war-torn country.

God Is Great, FINALLY SYRIA will be Protected from the Zionism! Thank You Russia for this, what was enough was enough fu*k them all. Jews will thing 10x times before attack. S-300 will be in play. They are very very precise with 85% accuracy rate and they are modern air-defense not the 30-40 years old S-75, S-125 or S-200.

But I hope this is not just a bleff to see how the Jews will react or smt if you say please deliver Russia this time.

    • Tudor Miron

This is not a bleff but official statement but Russian defence minister Shoigu.

  • Aldric V

That’s a f**** good news, the Russians didn’t die for nothing even if it’s a nonsense that the decision came after this drama and not before.

    • #’~A*QXm(>NRmm]w?dU4v!=^

Well, they did die for nothing because Russia was supposed to have delivered they system in 2013. Russia should have known that the ZioNazis never honour their agreements.

      • Sinbad2

True, but the war for hearts and minds is as important as the fighting.

      • FlorianGeyer

If it had been delivered in 2013 the US Coalition of Terror would have overrun some of the air S300 defence sites with international terrorist infantry gangs as they rampaged over Syria.

The problem then was not US Coalition air power but US Coalition ‘Terrorist Power’.

        • #’~A*QXm(>NRmm]w?dU4v!=^

OK, that makes sense. That means it was the right decision for the wrong reasons. Lucky Russians.

          • FlorianGeyer

I suspect it was the foresight of a chess player myself :)

    • Real Anti-Racist Action

      The article reads as follows:…
“Shoigu recalled that in 2013 Russia halted S-300 systems supplies to Syria upon request from Israel.”
Israel wanted Russia to wait and delay it for at least 5 years till Israel received F-35i jets.
Now Israel does not mind, S-300 cannot target F-35i’s, only S-400 system can do that.
Israel told Russia not to relieved until Israel got its F-35i’s, then after that Israel does not mind the S-300 at all.
S-300 is a threat to F-15’s and a bit to F16i’s. Israels modern craft is F-35.
Syria and Iran always get upgraded just one generation behind and to late to make a difference in defending against Israel. That is how global Zionism works.

The Queen I am sure once said the very exact thing in reference to George Orwell. Yet none the less George Orwell was right.
The Jews said the same about Christ, yet none the less…
Same was said by the UK leadership about Benjamin Franklin and his publishing’s. Yet, none the less.
It is practically a badge of honor the statement you make attacking me in the defense of Zionism.
So to you I will simply say, thank you.

          • Tudor Miron

Welcome. I hope that you learned something practical regarding AD systems.

          • #’~A*QXm(>NRmm]w?dU4v!=^

You still have not grasped the essence of Shoigu’s message. Not only will the S300 be integrated with Russian hardware

allowing the Syrians to have better targeting information

          • Real Anti-Racist Action

And which S-300 system is being delivered to them?
            S-300 V ?
            S-300 P ?
            S-300 PS ?
            S-300 PMU ?
            S-300 PMU1 ?
            S-300 PMU2 ?
            S-300 Favorite. ?
And which set of missiles are being delivered?
            9M82 ?
            9M83 ?
            9M83ME ?
            9M82MD ?
            9M83ME?
            48N6E2 missile ?

          • #’~A*QXm(>NRmm]w?dU4v!=^

Ask Shoigu, he is delivering, not me. But, you needn’t really bother because your question is completely irrelevant because Russia will deliver in accordance with the situation.

So, your pseudo-scientific-technical question is anything but impressive and contributes nothing to this thread.

          • Tommy Jensen

S-300 V with 9M82, and if it doesnt work the next type on the list will be tried.

          • Sinbad2

The thing that impresses me about the Russian AA is how quickly it can be deployed. 15 minutes after parking they are operational. Compare that to the 2 weeks needed to set up a Patriot battery.
And they actually hit stuff, unlike the Patriot system.

          • Tudor Miron

Tommy… let us see those RuMOD documents that you have in order to do your claims.

          • Tommy Jensen

            Let me translate your message:
Syria will get a little more integration, a little better targetting, a little better information, and Russia say for the 202 time that if it happen again they will act next time.

          • #’~A*QXm(>NRmm]w?dU4v!=^

“a little” is your choice of words, even though you have no idea how the new set-up will work technically.

The Russians could have also dreamt up a new excuse for the ZioNazi actions and explain how the ZioNazis have promised it won’t happen again. Instead, they chose this solution, which, in my most humble opinion, is better than some beautiful words.

      • Derapage

S-300 and S-400 systems can have data link for exchanging info about targets whereas previous S-200 can not do it.

        • Real Anti-Racist Action

Upgraded S-200 can and does. Iran does it between S-200 and S-300 and other air defense systems. They talk about it and publish these facts all of the time when talking about these systems.

          • Derapage

S-200 has not recognition capacity foe-non-foe

          • Promitheas Apollonious

            yes it has.

          • Daniel Miller

you again? no it dose not! the S-200 dosent have a modern IFF system since it still uses fucking vacum tubes you idiot.

          • Promitheas Apollonious

idiot is the one who did not jerk you off malaka.

          • Daniel Miller

m8 its not my fault you are a idiot whom knows next to noting about weapons systems.

          • Daniel Miller

            keep crying m8 xD

          • Real Anti-Racist Action

Yes it does. Maybe the first models off of the line production lines from 1966/67 without upgrades maybe not, but the Syrian version of the S-200 has been upgraded several times.

        • World_Eye

No S-300 does not have the multilayer network radar system only the S-400 and upcoming S-500 ( new s-500 will not replace the s-400 ) can ” Talk between each other”, I think I put it that properly. S-300 is a standalone version with no modifications. Now the Iranians are experimenting with them and they are making some Upgrades to the S-300 to be more efficient and better with the radars.

          • Real Anti-Racist Action

Depends which S-300 system you are talking about. They are all so different.
            S-300 V
            S-300 P
            S-300 PS
            S-300 PMU
            S-300 PMU1
            S-300 PMU2
            S-300 Favorite.
Iran has the S-300 PMU2, but sadly Russia did not deliver the extended range S-300 48N6E2 missile’s that go along with it. And instead got the standard missiles.
Which type of missiles Russia supplies with an individual systems are also equally important as to what they are actually capable of.

          • World_Eye

Well the version for export, they will give Syria the normal version they will not fancy the version if you know what i mean, because they believe that will be sufficient.

          • Sinbad2

            And you know this how?
You don’t think Israel killing Russian airman might prompt Russia to shutdown the theater air space completely?

          • Daniel Miller

he knows it since Russia is not stupid to give even their older tech without downgrades its in their doctrine.

          • Real Anti-Racist Action

One news article at checkpointasia.com said this.
“Building new export variants would take 18-24 months. Russia is technically capable of providing its air defense systems S-300 to Syria within two weeks”

There are no less then 5 different export versions that I find on wikipedia. That does not narrow it down at all.
Versions available abroad are listed below.
            S-300V
            S-300V
            S-300 PMU
            S-300 PMU1
            S-300 PMU2

          • Sinbad2

S300 is not standalone, and every S300 battery has a Pantsir battery to protect the S300.
            http://www.ausairpower.net/PVO-S/Almaz-S-300PMU2-Favorit-Tie-In-1S.jpg

          • World_Eye

Yes but it does not have the multilayer as S-400 integrated both S-300 and S-400 are totally different thing.

          • Sinbad2

But the S300 command post can relay information from the S400 command post.
These systems are integrated, they can even use radar data from aircraft.

          • Derapage

Wikipedia: “The Protivnik-GE and Gamma-DE radars, integrated with the 92H6E radar
system, enables communication between each battery with Baikal-E senior
command posts and similar types; nearby 30К6Е, 83М6Е and 83М6Е2
            administration systems;

83M6E2 is the S300’s command post

          • World_Eye

But with battery YES not with other radar layers. Only S-400 has that integration like to go in between S-300 but S-300 cannot go share with S-400, that’s why S-400 has its own small army for it. S-300 its for its self

          • Sinbad2

Why would different types of radar stop data sharing?
I use a Toshiba laptop, can that share data with a Dell?

          • World_Eye

No cuz Dell doesn’t share data on international level with Toshiba and they are not design to do that!!!

      • Nosferatu

S300 can target and hit F35. “Stealth” rechnology is just a propaganda myth and works only if you want to bomb countries with no/obsolete AA systems.

        • Sinbad2

That’s not quite true, stealth does work on all standard radars. It doesn’t make aircraft disappear, it reduces the apparent size of the plane to standard radar.
But if you use lower frequency radar, stealth does not work.
So the use low frequency radar to detect the plane, and then high frequency radar with computer enhanced imaging and focused on where the plane is, and take it out.
At the moment only Russia and China can target and kill stealth aircraft.

          • Nosferatu

What you said does not conflict with what i said. The current S300 are far from the original once and have been updated to see “stealth” (low visibility) aircrafts

          • Real Anti-Racist Action

You have to be specific as to which version of the S-300 system you speak of. All of the ones I list below are ‘current’ versions. Yet all are different and have different abilities. Also depends on the missile’s used.
            S-300 PMU
            S-300 PMU1
            S-300 PMU2
            S-300 Favorite.

          • Nosferatu

Correct. The information which one is going to be sent to Syria is not public yet, but i believe the Russians will send a good one…..

          • FlorianGeyer

Russia will certainly send an updated version , as any failures of the S300 will damage the reputation of all the S300/400/500 systems.

          • Promitheas Apollonious

and Yugoslavia, they proved it not in theory.

          • Sinbad2

Yes and they did it with standard radar.
The Achilles heel of stealth aircraft is that releasing the bomb or missile causes them to become visible. They need to release their missiles at great distance to not be seen.

They are almost suicide planes, they can get passed air defenses, but probably not get out.

        • TiredOfBsToo

          “F35”

Reminds me of the “The Emperor’s new clothes”. It did however provide great profits to the usual cast of villains.

      • Tommy Jensen

        Precisely.

      • Sinbad2

S400 is in Syria, and S400 can relay data to S300.

      • Tudor Miron

Now that was funny :) “S-300 is a threat to F-15’s and a bit to F16i’s”(c) stating that F16 is less capable plane than F15 shows that qucikly serfing the web to post some “proves” doesn’t really work. Stop spiting nonsence regarding F-35 :) If you hope that this plane is immune to modern S-300 it means that you either don’t know much or simply try to full others.

        • FlorianGeyer

Fooling others is a Zionist way of life Tudor :)

Here is the announcement from the Russian defense minister Shoigu
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyUt0h1SUC4

    • telemetrie

Seems like Russian generals had enough.

      • Tudor Miron

Little zio, Russian generals do exactly as their commaders order them to do. Statement says clearly – actions taken at the order of President of Russia.

        • d’Artagnan

The generals forced Putin’s hand. The Russian media and people are very angry. Even in Belarus there is growing anger at Zionist cowardice. The Khazars pushed the Slavs too far this time.

          • Tudor Miron

That narrative is false. That’s not generals that forced Putin’s hand. That’s Israeli actions that led to that desision made by Putin.

          • telemetrie

Well, Putin downplayed the accident. Generals didn’t like it and refused to obey. Deploying S300 and radar jamming will probably delay Israel’s strikes on Syria for some time but it is not solving anything.
Maybe it will take a month, maybe a year but Israel will found some weak point how to bypass air defences. After next confrontation there will be dead soldiers on both sides. And it could escalate really quickly as military power builds up.

          • Tudor Miron

Putin downplayed this accident in terms that this is not a case to deliver a strike on Israel. During that same statement he reiterated that Russian position was expressed by RuMOD statement and that statement was agreed with him.

          • TiredOfBsToo

They really should go to the source before they try guessing at what Putin or the ‘generals’ said or did. I listened to what Putin said and you nailed it.

          • d’Artagnan

Not true. Shoigu had preceded Putin’s conciliatory announcement about “series of unfortunate events”. The Russian base at Latakia had recordings and data from Zionist F-16 as they shadowed the slower and bigger signature IL-20. Putin also downplayed the 15 dead Russians and refused to give them a state funeral as heroes as that would stoke Russian public anger.

          • Tudor Miron

You’re either misinformed or lying. Within that smae announcement about “series of tragic events” he said that Russia’s position regarding that event was clearly expressed by RuMOD statement which was sanctioned by him personally.
Saying that he refused to give them a state funeral as heroes is a blatant lie.

          • Tommy Jensen

Putin just tried to gain more time for Israel.
Israel got the F-35, trained them in battle, so now “our equal partners” agree its time for Russia to give Syria the now outdated S-300……………………..LOL.

          • S Melanson

I have to agree, there is a difference in tone where the Russian military is controlling the narrative and it is clearly revealing pent up anger at Israel. Even if Putin is fully on board, the Russian military is doing most of the speaking and meetings. If Putin is weakened along with other leaders that tend to show restraint and we have a belligerent Israeli leadership that cannot seem to shut its mouth when it is best then the situation is indeed explosive.

      • d’Artagnan

Russians are proud patriotic people who don’t like to be humiliated. The Russian military has recordings of Zionist cowards laughing as they pushed the unarmed IL-20 into Syrian active AD envelope. The Russian military is seething and over ruled Putin who was trying to downplay the cold blooded murder of Russian airmen. There was almost a revolt among the Slavic and Muslim generals who said enough was enough. Russia will now transfer top line weaponry to both Syria and Iran. Arrogant Zionist parasites dug their own grave.

        • Tudor Miron

Let me ask you one question. Do you suggest that “Putin must go?”

          • d’Artagnan

Yes, Putin is corrupt and in bed with Jew oligarchs. Russians can only be ruled by a strongman and the President will be from the military hopefully. Putin is an idiot with an inferiority complex vis a vis the west. NATO, US and now even pathetic Zionists are killing Russians and he keeps on calling them “partners”. US is even trying to kill the $20 billion Russian arms exports and treating Russia and China both as third world vassal states and banana republics.

          • Tudor Miron

Another question. Where are you from?

          • d’Artagnan

            Armenian.

          • Tudor Miron

            Living where?

          • d’Artagnan

            France.

          • Tudor Miron

Now I will tell you simple thing. This is Putin who rised Russia from ashes. This is putin who resurrected Russian army from sorry state it was in 90s. Those who say that Putin must go are either enemies of Russia or simply understand very little. Seeing what happened in Armenia recently it is funny to hear Armenians suggesting Russians what to do.

          • d’Artagnan

That is exactly what I am saying, Armenia is in US sights and it has been a close Russian and Iranian ally. The US wants to take over Armenia and use it to destabilize both Russia and Iran. As you are aware there are Armenian troops supporting the Syrian government too, even though it is a small country engaged in conflict with Zionist infested Azerbaijan supported by Turkey too. A brave Armenian pilot Captain Davidian was also killed in Syria flying a Russian Federation SU-30. So please don’t tell Armenians about bravery. Armenian diaspora has always supported Russia, Iran and Syria.

          • Concrete Mike

Even the armenian diaspora in california??

System of a down comes to mind.
Im a big fan, my wife adored them.

          • d’Artagnan

Probably as the Jews are selling Azerbaijan weapons and drones to kill Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, which is historical Armenian land, like Ukraine is Russian land Kievan-Rus.

          • Tudor Miron

Yes, my friend. I have Armenian friends here in Russia and many Armenian nationals serve in Russian Army and many gave their lives side by side with their Russian brothers during Great Patriotic war. I’m not questioning bravery of Armenian people. At the same time I know your temperament and you will agree that Armenians often act “hot headed”.
Regarding Putin – I suggest that you judge by looking ar large picture. Simply look where Russia was in 1998 and where it is now.
            BTW, do you speak Russian?

          • d’Artagnan

            Да, я немного говорю.

          • Tudor Miron

Тогда я бы порекомендовал посмотреть несколько лекций, где максимально простым языком рассказана теория, которая может значительно расширить границы вашего понимания общего хода вещей. https://youtu.be/IpBdb7oK050

          • Stary Volk

The f**k are you talking about, small paid pawn? Putin did NOTHING to russia except selling it to his friends Abramovich, Potanin, Rottenberg, etc.
Where is “doubling GDP”, man? I’ll tell you. In your ass, that’s where it is.
So, no real growth from 2008, corrupt system, dead science, dead army, dead education. And fake elections.
So Putin sucks. An yes, I am from Russia.

          • Tudor Miron

“Putin did NOTHING to russia except selling it to his friends Abramovich, Potanin, Rottenberg, etc.” (c) How old are you Старый волк? Have you been around in 90s? Can’t you see the difference? Fake elections? Do you suggest that during elections people actually voted for another candidate? Dead army? Than how would you describe our army in 1998 for example? Actually I can’t imagine someone to be that blind to not be able to see what’s actually happening so I assume that you lie deliberately.
Простой вопрос – ты в натуре настолько тупой или просто притворяешься?

I am old enough. But you shall change your metodichka, my friend. 90s was made by Chubais. Do I need to tell you where he is now? The same shit, the same people, even Kirienko is still there.

In my experience the CIA is always behind anti-Putin comments on social media. The Jewish conspiracy nuts are like ISIS, they are proxies of the Americans even if they don’t know it.

          • Tudor Miron

There are many heads of that hydra – ukro trolls, cia assets, mi-6, ruzionic trolls etc., etc. They all hate Putin for one simple reason.

          • Stary Volk

One more thing, my frend. I need to clarify it, probably. Простой ответ-шло бы ты нах, ольгинское чмо. У нас с 90-го года хрен с морковкой, а не рост экономики, и затяжное стояние раком вида “мы встаем с колен”.
            Thank you for your attention.

          • Tudor Miron

          • Zionism = EVIL

Da Tovarish, Putin is a Jew arse kisser and has no regard for Russian lives.

          • Stary Volk

Again. Putin did NOTHING, he is weak and silly as the president. Even Turkey surpassed Russia in terms of GDP, GDP growth and overall well-being of the people. And russia is collapsing

          • Ricardo

Tudor, you are the only one talking that Putin must go. why?

          • Tudor Miron

Wait a second… are you for real? 1) Where exactly I’m talking against Putin? 2) Do you really have difficulty seeing several posters (there are not that many actually as some of them are one and the same person).

          • Ricardo

Tudor, I know very well your position about Russia and Putin, mine is the same, but unswering to D´artagnan you ask him if he is of the opinion that Putin…. etc, I am the opinion that we should not put ideas in some people. Sorry to cause you disconform.

          • Tudor Miron

Thanks for your answer. I was just asking him to sum up his position so I can answer it. We should not affraid and hide ideas that we think are wrong. We should take it in the open and show what is wrong about them. This is my view.

          • Vitex

They’ve sent some good trolls this time Tudor :) It’s amazing that the IDF has any soldiers left with the amount of time they spend in chatrooms.

        • Socialisme = Cancer

You’re are the same warmonger as the zionists (and you put a capital Z) and with people like both of you, we would get planet destruction … To the physical warfare made by the zionists, Putin oppose a psychological warfare, and the zionists are collapsing. It’s not Putin who runs twice a week to Tel-Aviv, it’s Netanyahu who rushes twice a week to Moscow to beg…

      • Manuel Flores Escobar

As we can see Russian military staff…only support the interest of the Russian armed forces/ Military industrial complex and its prestige…they dont mind the interest of Russian Jews Oligarchs, The Russian tourist who visit Israel every summer, the friendship with Netanyahu.. etc etc….they know that israel is part of the US Deep State…therefore enemy of the Russian armed forces!

      • Zionism = EVIL

Finally the Zionist pussy Putin had to act or his generals would have stuck a S-300 up his Zionist kissing arse. Putin is a disgrace to Russians.

    • World_Eye

NICE JUST keep delivering the S-300 and keep tight Russia no more applying wishes for the Zionists.

    • occupybacon

1 Israeli aircraft lost and 11 Russian aircraft lost in Syria till now. I wish they could keep their promises but Russia is talking with a ‘bleeding nose’.

      • Jim Bim

Yes, damage control after a failed policy. You can`t please both sides that are enemy. Pleasing Israel, has given Russia nothing…..except a bleeding nose

        • d’Artagnan

Your assessment is 100% accurate. Russian wavering and wishy washy policies ate only emboldening the US, NATO puppets and Zionists. What kind of a “suprerpower” lets a third rate fake state of 7 million assorted fake Jews kill Russians with impunity.

          • occupybacon

They are not there to please anyone, simply they can’t afford to do more for a naval base in warm waters. Russia is a regional power that couldn’t afford to invade Ukraine.

          • Jim Bim

            Exactly!!

      • χρηστος

        11 aircrafts?so many?

        • occupybacon

Yes, 5 due to technical malfunctions, which means in a major conflict half of the Russian planes will be lost to themselves, not the enemy.

          • χρηστος

well you are not entirely correct there. russia deployed very few aircrafts in Syria.that meant a great mechanical stress on them. they flew almost all day long. that makes accidents more likely to happen.

          • occupybacon

I think that could be taken in consideration before it started to happen, it’s not like they are the only functional airplanes of Russia, or are they?

          • χρηστος

i really dont know the answer to that. you cant go to war with 12 aircrafts. the targets were so many, the sorties were 100s every day……always wondered what they were trying to prove.maybe its politics there. the US carrier has, lets say, 70 aircrafts and they need many escort ships as well, look what we can manage with 12 aircrafts and just a cruiser and a submarine….

          • occupybacon

I appreciate that success and it was a welcomed surprise for many that didn’t agree with the US interventions in that region. If Russia had more polite supporters like you, instead on this salty boys it was even a bigger success.

          • χρηστος

Russia is the only obstacle US has…otherwise the whole world would be a mess. the examples are so many. Iraq, libya, syria etc. USs’ policy is ‘create chaos and we will se what we can do after that’…….Russia brings ‘balance to the force’

          • occupybacon

Yeah, I agree again, the balance is needed. Though a lot of features of USA are not evil and a lot of features of Russia are not good.

          • χρηστος

exactly exactly…….totally with you on that

      • cortisol

Yes but the cost of 11 aircraft for stabilizing the critical ally country on the southern border and preventing future takfiri base… Is it a large price? Relative, but I don’t think so.

Remember, Israel cannot change anything any longer, do airstrikes or not in Syria. The US might get kicked out of Iraq making their presence in NE Syria unviable as well. The US economy can’t support war with Iran and they won’t get any help from the EU. The longer they wait, the harder it becomes to attack. And the price for attacking now is even extreme.

        • occupybacon

Comparing to Israel who bombs targets around the Russian basses, in Latakia. That was a comparison. Israel and USA won’t give up Al Tanf base in the south and regarding war with Iran, actually USA’s economy can afford bombing Iran every single day from today to the end of the days. They don’t need to invade – which I also believe USA can’t afford but I’m still not sure

          • cortisol

Yes a good comparison, although on an absolute scale I’m not sure whether that 11 aircraft still is “critical” compared to achievements. I think USA will eventually get out of al Tanf as there is no more strategic importance.

          • occupybacon

There were many rumors in the past 2 years, from the Syrian side that USA lost interest in Al Tanf, is negotiating to give up that base, not sure about that. However Russia is more though talking than when they lost the plane to the Turks, that’s why I believe is more talking than acting.

    • Rob

There are many questions arise on Russia that how Israel attacks Syria? How Israel attacked Latakia? It means that next time Israel can attack Russian military bases too.

    • Rob

If Israel dare to attack Latakia where is Russian military base and also very close to Russian navy base in Tartus. then it means that Israel could also attack Russian both military bases. Israel are more dear to Putin than Russian nation but this may lead Putin to treason crime.

    • antoun

      excellent!! :)

      • Jim Bim

        Yes :-)

  • Tudor Miron

    Israeli asked for it.

    • FlorianGeyer

President Putin should take this opportunity to recover all the assets stolen by Russian Oligarchs now I think Tudor.

      • Tudor Miron

Right now there’s huge anit Putin compaign organized by pro western forces embedded within Ruzionic elites (pension reform is one of main instruments to weaken Putin’s support base but there are many others). They are on the attack now but VVP didn’t make his move yet. However there are signs that liberasts will be unpleasantly surprised. Putin is known for acting in unexected ways in unexpected time. Let’s see how it unfolds.

        • FlorianGeyer

It would be popular to give the Russian citizens of working age and above a financial dividend from all the repossessed property recovered from the Oligarchs who were instrumental in looting Russia .

This would soften the needed pension reforms as well.

  • Real Anti-Racist Action

this makes me very happy, however Israeli jets can still strike Syria at will without loosing any aircraft.
The S-400 is the one that stands a chance.
Against the S-300 Israel will just have to be more careful, but will still pro-actively bomb Syria as usual without much changes.
Back in 2013 the S-300 would have made some little differences, and now going on nearly 6 years later, this difference is even more minute.
And for the record, Syria already made payment for these S-300’s over 8 years ago.
Has Syria had these already, then they would not have accidentally struck the Russian plane.
Putin’s love/worship of the Jew’s is to blame for Russian deaths.
If he were an honorable man, then he would have honored Russian agreement with the persecuted Syrian people.
Putin is making to many mistakes, biggest of all is failure to realize the danger Zionism plays against Orthodox Christians and against Monotheist in general.

    • Jim Bim

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said “We are convinced that measures taken by Russia will cool “hotheads” and prevent ill-considered actions threatening Russian servicemen. Otherwise, we will have to respond in line with the situation.”

    • Tudor Miron

You seem to know little regarding Russian AD systems.

      • FlorianGeyer

He listens to CNN and CSNBC Tudor :)

    • alejoeisabel

You may be right, but Israeli pilots will be terrified at the prospect of being shot down by an S-300. Now imagine an F-35 being shot down at a unit cost of $235,000,000. That plane is only good in bombing defenseless woman and children in Gaza. Once S-300’s are in place, the Israeli’s will not even think of flying the overpriced prima dona F-35.

      • Sinbad2

Israel does not care about the price of the planes, they get them for free, America, the benefactor?

      • hope springs eternal.

If i’m not mistaken, the S300 was supplied to Greece some time back. Being a NATO ally, this system has been thoroughly inspected by the US and Israel. I wish Russia had given the S400. Anyway some improvement.

        • Sinbad2

          Well, you are mistaken.
The US would give trillions to get their hands on one of these systems, they are light years ahead of anything in the west.

        • TiredOfBsToo

Not the advanced S-300s that Syria is getting.

          • d’Artagnan

The Greek ones are antiques now. The Iranians got the most advanced version. Syria will get the same as Russians and Iranians will train the SAA operators.

          • hope springs eternal.

Thank you for the clarification. I didn’t know there were so many variants of the S300. Happy that Syria is getting the latest.

      • Manuel Flores Escobar

Israel are terrified in the moment that Russian armed forces decide to destroy runways of the 3 main israeli airbases with Kalibr and Onix P-800.. and the Israeli airforce keep on ground….

    • Redadmiral

S-300’s will be integrated into the Russian Air defence system, which will allow Syria to target all present IsraHelli fighters including their 2 F-35s, one of which took a hit from an S-200.

    • World_Eye

But those S-300’s can shoot anything Jets, Incoming munitions, Guided Bomb and Cruise Missiles. But the S-300 they are still vulnerable from stealth cruise missiles as AGM-158 JASSM and other munitions. That’s why they can be bombed directly but there is good protections that the Russian are doing, adding few Pantsir S-1’s around it and any small or any stealth missile or jet will flicker on their advanced multilayer radar network of the S-400 (Advanced Upgraded Version) and the very Pantsir S-1 can be directed to shoot and short range, because you don’t want to use S-300 for close range, well maybe but you can track multiple targets 500km away with them, and you can shot them down in a range of about 300 km more or less. All S-400 missile tubes in Syria’s Khmeimim Russian base are attached to the multilayer radar network, it is a variation of multiple armies combined together and that’s what makes the S-400 special, but S-300 in the other hand does not have that sistem, S-300 has its own Radar station. In Russia all S-400’s that are guarding Russia they are attached on the biggest multilayer ICBM radars. Of course they can use the very layer of radar of the very own S-400 but every tubes systems are attached to that radar system and that’s what makes it special.

    • ZP

F35 as an fighter plane is really below current fighters (F22, SU30, MIG35, etc…) as the Australians have found out https://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/the-f-35s-air-to-air-capability-controversy-05089/. So really it is only good to sneak up as close but not to close (and for that it uses extensive networking to the various US Systems) to the enemy and fire an air-to-air/land missile whilst still out of reach/recognition of enemy Systems, like a hybrid drone. Its stealth capabilities are enhanced by the US jamming/covering Systems and even now their performance is pretty sluggish evident by the long delays in deliveries of those plans to the first adopters. The main question is will F35 have missiles with longer range than that of S300? (I dare saying no)

      • Sinbad2

An F35 might be able to get close enough to launch a missile without being detected, but as soon as the bomb doors open, it would be highly visible. Once they have a lock on the plane, they can keep it, even when the bomb doors close. Also the retreating F35 has a large heat signature and Russian heat seeking technology is the best in the world.

        • FlorianGeyer

The last sensation thing a retreating Israeli F35 pilot would have is an orgasm ,as the missile thrusts into his arse :)

    • World_Eye

Turkey is not under aerial bombardment but the Saudi wahhabists are very much from the Yemeni Houthis. The Houthis are launching ballistic missiles on Weekly basis in Saudi Wahhabia and the Patriot air defense is failing them on a big scale, they are failing to fire, they are firing and after 300m they fall down, they even do a boomerang by launching they come back to them and explode, you can check here on SF page in the search bar about that, the rate of success of these Patriot Defense System is less than 50% so when they are firing they are like 50-50 if it gets to target and that’s what the US is selling and when someone wants to buy S-400 like India and Turkey the US is going crazy with sanctions if you buy the S-400. Because the S-400 is currently rated as best air defense system in the world with success rate of hitting a target and it depends of what kind of a target but the overall rate of success is 75% and up.

      • Z1

        80% “+” 80% is actually 80% + “80% of 20%”, which equals 96% overall. 3 missiles make it 99.2%.

        • World_Eye

Hmm I am not much good in math, but in general I think that if 1 missile gives you 80% success and you fire 1 more with 80% success you will have double of that success of 160% chance of hitting it. I don’t know did it make of 99.2% but if it’s like that 99.2% is almost very perfect success of destroying that missile.

          • Z1

The 2 or 3 missiles need to be shot at the same time, otherwise it’s allways 80%. Or you shoot 5 missiles at 5 jets at the same time and you’ll get 4 out 5. Anyway, I don’t know how the manufacturer came to 80%, but probably he shot 100 missile one after another (probably not all together) at 100 targets and missed 20 times. But as you say, pretty good.

          • World_Eye

No now according some Russia military official the S-300 has 0.9% rating of target success which means 90% I don’t know how they are digging this data but i believe they were shooting a lot of missiles to achieve this accuracy.

          • Z1

            Ok

    • Selbstdenker

Real Anti Racist: If Russia provides a Moskva-1 System along with s-300 there would be a high risk F35 are renderd useless, as they would become visible. The comment you posted is not accurate in context and content. Latest version of S-300 has the same capability of S-400, but lacks range of rockets. In combination with other EW systems, Israel would not be able to have planes in the air in case a conflict gets hotter.

    • Tommy Jensen

Same with Iran. At the moment the S-300 were outdated because Iran developed the type themselves, Russia hurried under big fanfares to deliver a couple of batteries. Pathetic.

      • Tudor Miron

Tommy, your depression is troubling does it?

        • Tommy Jensen

It is. I looked into Albert Spikes letter to Mazzini (freemason) prediction of 3 WW in 1871.

WWI and WWII happened exactly as written, and WWIII was predicted to happen within the next 7 years as a battle between political zionism and islamic world.

Looking at the geopolitical chess moves, it looks like we are heading precisely this way. Militarisation step by step of the world everywhere.

          • FlorianGeyer

Albert Pikes predictions are fascinating I agree Tommy.

    • 1691

I thought you quit your full time job for shekels and you were gone for good. Well, well; still trying hard to brainwash the people who are searching for truth? I forgot, so , please, help: are you using this platform against Mr Putin or to polish the crimes of israhel?

      • TiredOfBsToo

“I thought you quit your full time job for shekels..”

Must be why I can’t see his post, it’s been blocked….. wait a minute, I was the one that blocked it a long long time ago. :)

        • 1691

          Thank you.

  • Jose

And that´s no all. They will improve the air defense capability, jammed GPS navigation, etc..

    • AM Hants

Won’t they also work with the S200, to form a defence umbrella, which can be extended?

    • Tommy Jensen

A lot of fiddling will be done to make it look like improvement that dont jeopardize Israel´s right to attack Syria 200 times more.

      • Sinbad2

Israel will only attack, if it wants sympathy for the dead Israeli pilot.

  • telemetrie

Good to see that military pragmatics are finally winning over duo of Jew’s vassals Putin-Lavrov.
But things would be even better if S300 were in Syria 3 years ago.

    • #’~A*QXm(>NRmm]w?dU4v!=^

      Better late than never.

    • Concrete Mike

No 2013 was not thebright time, at that time it was essentially giving s300 to terrorists.

2017 would have been better. Or after deir ez zor bombing by usa.

Regardless better late than never. Show those filthy israelis not to breach agreements….LOL yeah right.

Israeli are as much non agreement capable as the rest of the west….surprise surprise.

      • FlorianGeyer

With a bit of luck the ‘Zionist remains’ in the world will be able to satisfy the demand for Pozzolanic cement for the reconstruction of what they have destroyed Mike :)

        • Concrete Mike

Yes some of us havent been corrupted by filthy french/swiss pricks.

Also the greeks in santorini are having a hard time right now. Titan cements to be avoided. This powder is reacting to our local aggregates for some reason. It was fine for years but since last fall…

I would recommend keeping everything as local as possible for the syrian reconstruction effort.

My main question would be where would all the water come from.

          • FlorianGeyer

Yes, water is an issue I agree and worth investigating :)

  • Real Anti-Racist Action

The “S-300 system” does not tell us what the missiles are actually or which version of the S-300 system Syria is getting. There are a broad range of missile options that Russia could be coupling with and delivering to Syrian with this S-300 system. Anything less then the 48N6E2 missile’s packaged with the S-300-Favorite system will not be any threat to Israeli F-15i’s or F-16’s, let alone F-35i jets.
The Russia 48N6E2 missile’s are the extended range and speed missiles for the S-300PMU2 and FAVORITE systems. They are not the standard missiles for the S-300 system by any means.
So which S-300 system is it for starters?
    S-300 V
    S-300 P
    S-300 PS
    S-300 PMU
    S-300 PMU1
    S-300 PMU2
    S-300 Favorite
    These are the options.
Only the Favorite has any upgraded abilities against 5th generation Jets and most advanced US missiles which have not yet been used in combat.
Russia gave Iran the S-300 PMU2 many years late. Only the favorite model could hope to repel the most modern of Israeli and NATO aircraft.

    • Gregory Casey

He says the “modern” S-300 Missiles

    • John Whitehot

likely the most updated version for land defense, pmu2.
      V series i think it’s unlikely.

      • Real Anti-Racist Action

And which missile is also so very important. Russia would not even deliver the 1992 upgrade 48N6E2 missile to Iran.
        1984 – 9M82 ?
        1984 – 9M83 ?
        – 9M82M missile with the range of up to 200 km
        1990 – 9M83ME ?
1991 – 9M82MD ? missile is designed to intercept aerodynamic targets within the range of 400 km
        – 9M83ME?
        1992 – 48N6E2 missile
        – 48Н6E with range of 150km and the 48Н6E3 with range of 250km

    • AJ

Whatever version they get will be a big upgrade on the antique S200

  • Gregory Casey

I suspect it is already inside Syria since the ;special’ Iranian Flight on Wednesday. Whichever ……… it was and is long past time for Syria to have the S-300 BUT it should ALSO have S-400. When?

    • World_Eye

No Syria will be happy if the reach to get this S-300 as for as S-400 those are the most advanced air defense systems in the world and they don’t come just like that they cost billions of € i don’t use $ that’s for the Neocons and the Zionists. By now only 1 country had received them and that is China just now very recently and for that the US scums added a sanctions on China, when S-400 is mentioned for buying by any country the US instantly applies pressure and threats with their US law and adding sanctions, as the guys in India that want to buy these S-400 they told the US good, quote: “that sanction act it is a US law, not an UN international law” but the US is applying that as their law to anyone they want, even Turkey their Nato member, if Turkey decide to continue to make talks about the S-400 the US says: We will not sell you the most disgusting brick of a jet in the world the F-35 and we will sanction you for buying Russian weapons. I mean this US rats are so scared of this Russian technology they are pissing their pants when it comes to the S-400, because the US knows that the F-35 will be seen on the radar, and that the Russia will obtain all its information. So those are the facts you be the judge of it.

  • Ivan Freely

LOL Israel made a fatal error in pissing off the Russian Military. Now the ball is back in Israel’s court. Let’s see what BiBi will do next.

    • telemetrie

Staging chemical attack in Syria with the help of white helmets. Bombing his own people aka 11.September and claiming that Russian did it. Plot some new “novichok” hoax and accuse Russia. Down another passenger jet as they did to MH17 and accuse Russia. Kill some pro-russian politics. Accuse Russia from state sponsored doping. Put more sanction on Russia. Those CIA-Mossad people are not so clever to invent something new. They are repeating themselves since the assassination of JFK or more precisely from Pearl Harbor.

    • VeeNarian (Yerevan)

The idiot BooBoo will run to Trump and they will have a tantrum together.

  • #’~A*QXm(>NRmm]w?dU4v!=^

Finally. This was long overdue and could have prevented the death of 15 Russian soldiers if Russia had refused to accommodate the ZioNazis’ request in 2013. But better late than never.

And this action will also mean that the FUKUS team will not be able to go bombing so easily anymore, and US planes will not be able to bomb from the east of Syria.

    • telemetrie

It has one nice feature. As Russia is now officially sharing radar data and S300 systems with Syria, Russian army can finally kill Israeli jets without political permission from Moscow if Syria claim hits. And Syria will claim :).
“Direct” war between Russia and Israel will officially not exist in Syria. But in reality this war will be there and Israel’s free shooting season over Syria is probably a history.

      • #’~A*QXm(>NRmm]w?dU4v!=^

        Good assessment, makes sense.

  • Tommy Jensen

Finally Putin listened to my advise that I gave 3 years ago, and all you guys now must admit that I was right.
Better later than never as they say.
Let this be a lesson to Putin and all you “excuses and hoping guys”. Always listen carefully to what I am telling you and what I am recommending.

I think Shoigu is the man behind it, not you :)

      • Gregory Casey

Actually, while I believe you are correct, the I think the real pressure came from below in the Ranks fighting in Syria and rose upwards, all the way to the Kremlin where Shoigu actually listened to what was related to him. Apart from anything else, I believe Shoigu is now hovering into view as the man who will fill Vladimir Putin’s shoes when he steps down and retires : NOT Medvedev!!

    • Ricky Miller

Oh, yes. This is all about you.

This is a good minimalist move for Putin; let’s hope he doesn’t stop with this.

Here is a relevant intelligence news article about Israel and USA and Gulf states changes in approach to Iran in 2017 because of Russia’s delivery of the S-300 PMU2 system to Iran.

“Iran S-300 PMU2 air defence improved but not game-changing, analysts say”
SOURCE News article link with info-graphs posted below.

    https://www.thenational.ae/world/mena/iran-air-defence-improved-but-not-game-changing-analysts-say-1.624475

    • Tommy Jensen

These analysts always make their right conclusions years after I made them, and they wont admit that I was right at that time in the past.

    • VeeNarian (Yerevan)

So, when did the IT FUKUS attack Iran?
They will all get a mighty shock if they ever become stupid enough to try.

  • Rüdiger Preiss

    Best news in weeks :)!

  • Sinbad2

Amazing how an air defense system can so freak out the FUKUS powers and Israel.
They think they have the right to attack others with impunity, the arrogance is staggering.
Every country in the world should have S300’s, only invaders fear defensive weapons.

    • Tommy Jensen

Not amazing. It gave bonus didnt it?
US and Israel got prolonged delivery of S-300 to Iran and Syria to the moment it dont make any difference.

      • Jim Bim

It was a big mistake by Putin to cancel the S-300 contract with Syria in 2013, by Israel request. Syria had already paid the sum, just like Iran. 5 years later, over 200 Israeli attacks ( literally pissed the Russians down their neck), several 100 Syrians/Russians/Iranians/Civilians killed……..Putin finally had enough….but the damage is done…you can`t be friends with everybody, you can`t please both sides that are enemy.

        • Concrete Mike

You correct in your last phrase, you cant be friends with everybody.

We must now look back at 2013, what was going on in syria. Would the s300 have helped?

Im guessing no, not when syria was crawling with camel fuckers everywhere, SAA was in shambles, most of the radar ststions where in fsa/al nusra/ isis hands.

AA defense was one of the first terrorist targets in 2012 when all this madness started.

So, in hindsight, syria having s300 in 2013 would not have changed a thing, except risking having a advanced AA system fall into isis hands.

A tough decision to make, but in the end it seems like the correct one.

          My personnal take on this.

Feel free to discuss the points I raised.
          Cheers

          • Jim Bim

Very good points, i can follow you most of the way :-) as mention, the problem with Russian foreign policy is that they are trying to hard to please both sides al the time. Pleasing others who show no respect to you, is a very dangerous plan. I hope that Putin will listen more to Shoiygu in the future…instead of Medvedev and his Zion licking gang.

          • Gregory Casey

            Agreed Jim!!

      • BMWA1

        Finally Russia listened to you

      • Sinbad2

So what did the US and Israel gain?
The US didn’t bomb Iran, Iran got the sanctions lifted, and now they have the S300.
        So Iran won.
The stalled delivery cost Russia 14 lives, but again, the FUKUS/Israeli invasion of Syria has failed. And again Syria gets the S300’s that scare them so.
        So Syria won.
You can say this and that would be better in hindsight, but they won, and that is the only important thing in war.

  • occupybacon

The problem is that Israeli planes can still fire cruise missiles at Syria from above the Mediterranean sea. Its space will not be jammed by Russia and this cruise missiles are cheaper than the S-300.

    • Sinbad2

But, the Israeli/American missiles need GPS to navigate over ocean, so they will drift off course.
But the Syrians/Russians will see the planes, and shoot them down.

      • occupybacon

Only time can say but I highly doubt that Russia will jam/shot down Israeli & NATO planes over the Mediterranean sea.

      • russ

Missile launchers are fair game too, whether planes or ships or land.

    • Gregory Casey

The transfer of technology that has occurred includes not just S-300 Systems but also includes both the “most advanced” missile technology (according to Russian Defence Forces spokesman) AND the most advanced “blocking technology” being deployed all across Coastal Syria and extending far out into the Mediterranean.

      • occupybacon

Jamming or damaging in any way planes in their own airspace is a “casus belli” and Russia can’t afford a war with Israel for a naval base in warm waters, in Israel and Turkey(NATO) vicinity. This being said I would bet that Israel will still hit targets in Syria from now on.

        • Gregory Casey

That warm-water Base in Coastal Syria enables Russia to have clear and unimpeded access to the Mediterranean without being dependent upon transit through the Bosporus & having NATO-Member Turkey blocking that access. It has formed an integral and fundamental founding-block for Russia’s defence for almost 50 years

    • AJ

Cruise missiles can be jammed on approach to Syria territory if not taken down by combined S300, Pantsirs

    • John Brown

With Syria getting the S-300, no Israeli plane will be able to take off in Israel without Syria and Russia knowing about it, so they will see what planes, how many, fire any missiles and from where, making it much easier to shoot them all down, Israeli missiles and planes over the Mediterranean or over Israel or when they go to land in Israel after such a mission

      • occupybacon

        1. Russia had the means of seeing this before now, they have S-400 and most probably even more advanced radars on their bases, also the satellites.
        2. They won’t shot at Israeli planes inside Israel’s airspace cause that would mean war with NATO and you know… NATO can fire 1k cruise missiles per day for Israel.

  • RichardD

    This is wonderful news.

  • Richard

How about a ‘no-fly zone’ corresponding to the borders of Israel, so no aircraft can get in or out, military or civilian?

    • FlorianGeyer

      That’s a nice thought.

It would also raise the sprits of those confined in the Gaza Concentration Camp .

Russians are proud patriotic people and since the CIA stooge drunk buffoon Yeltsin they have been humiliated for 30 years now and turned into a US vassal state. NATO is moving into every CIS state including Georgia and Armenia now, let alone Ukraine. The Russian military knows the consequences of Putin’s boot licking.

      • Keep it Real

Putin achieved many goals without a direct conflict! But there is a limit to it! And he reached it!

  • Hassadnah Abraham

thank you Your Honorable President Putin. Your decision is very right even though a bit late. Syrian is a sovereign country and President Assad was democratically elected by Syrian through legal process.
Syrian are being attacked by Terrorist, US jets, NATO jets and more than 2000 times by Israel against international law. Syrian have right to defend themselves, and have right to request assistance from Russia, Iran and other right minded person/leaders.
Perhaps Russia should sell few battalion of S 400 to Syrian to effectively defeat the terrorist US , Israel and NATO jets from killing its innocence civilian.
Israel and US may attack S. 300 by using F 22 and F 35, so it is better to supply Syrian with S400 to defeat these two stealth threat

They were probably delivered years ago. So far we have not seen any S-300/400 make any difference have we?

Ohh on the “leverage”, “influence”, “psychological”, “public impression” yes. But on factual actions on the battlefield?
      No!

      • Jim Bim

Just an example of how reality and actions often are ahead of politicians words.

      • AJ

Only the Russians have the S300/400s in Syria so how would you expect to see any difference on the battlefield when Russia has never used them to help Syria

  • Stary Volk

A small war should;ve happend. Some strikes aimed at Israeli air bases, some more against their air defense systems. But no war as oiur corrupt government has too many people connected with Israel (for example, Rottenberg, abramovich, etc).

Israeli militaryman think they can ‘retailate’ whenever they want to, strike Palestins, Syria, even Iran. So, that would’ve been just a symmetrical measure.

  • S-300 systems is going to be tested soon. By IAF of course.

  • frankly

On the day the IL 20 was shot down the Russians were negotiating for a peaceful settlement and the Israelis carried out a cowardly stunt, that killed Russians.

It seems fitting that the S-300 will be deployed out of necessity, what choice did Israel provide? But not out of some aggressive impulse.

The Israelis have brought this on themselves.

    • BlueInGreen

Has the US said anything? It’s funny that the US is silent on this matter thus far.

      • That means that Washington is worried. If they weren’t they would already be talking noise. You can be sure they are whining on back channels.

      • frankly

What can they say? Oops we fucked up again!

Wrong guy to ask as I don’t even bother to listen to them anymore, being lied to makes me irritable, so I avoid.

  • χρηστος

very bad news for israel. the system has huge range of tracking and target engagement although its rather old. but i think its still state of the art equipment. now the israeli pilots will have to fire their missiles from…..italy to avoid detection. depending on the location the Syrians will choose this system will be able to lock targets even inside Israel. my guess….they will use all the intel they get their hands on and destroy it before its operational.

  • The Israeli False Flag ploy worked exactly as they designed it, so why are they whining now?

  • Joe Dickson

If Israel destroys this it will end all of the hype around this weapon system… bring it on.

    • occupybacon

Yes, it will be a PR problem for Russian arms sales

Putin remarkably silent in all of this. The only time he has gone on record from what I know was to call the downing of the Russian plane a ‘tragic accident’. Makes one wonder wether or not he has been sidelined by his generals. It could be that the heavy brass in the Russian military are tired of Putin’s rope a dope strategy in the face of numerous provocations and are now looking to up the ante.

Good. When they are operational then have Assad impose a no-fly zone with Russian backing, warning all nations that without explicit permission from the government of Syria any object flying into or over Syrian airspace will be shot down.
