At least 9 killed in a suicide bombing at Baghdad mosque

Reuters  reported citing police and hospital sources that at least nine people have been killed in a suicide bombing at a Shia mosque in southwest Baghdad. The report also said that more than 25 people were injured in that attack.

The police  sources  said that a second suicide attacker was also killed by security forces before he could detonate his explosives.

According to the report, the attack took place after Friday prayers in Baghdad’s al-Radwaniya district and there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.

However, in the north and west of Baghdad, ISIS terrorists have been fighting Iraqi army and they regularly target Shia areas of the city.

Since June 2014, Iraq has been observing ISIS terrorist activities. The US-led coalition started its operations allegedly hitting ISIS, although many believe ISIS is a creation of the west.

However, the 66-member coalition has been failing to control ISIS terrorism, when a concerted push by Iraqi forces are dealing terrorists and forcing it out of the central city of Ramadi, the capital of the western Anbar Province.
