Amid the US Senate elections, the media launched active discussions of the possibility of the negotiations between Kiev and Moscow. Reports by the MSM that Washington allegedly inclines Kiev not to abandon diplomacy are largely explained by the pre-election situation in Washington. The waste of the US budget has a much greater impact on the American voter than helping Ukraine from allegedly altruistic motives in the name of democracy.

So far, the Kremlin’s position on the negotiations remains unchanged. Since the very beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, Moscow officials have constantly declared their readiness to negotiate, both with Kiev and with their patrons in Washington.

However, due to Ukraine’s refusal, dialogue is impossible. The Kiev regime prohibited any negotiations with the Russian side at the legislative level.

Also on November 9, the Russian Ambassador to the United States said that the political dialogue between Moscow and Washington was paralyzed. Contacts of the Russian diplomatic mission with the US executive bodies were blocked on the American initiative. Employees of the Russian Embassy in the United States receive threats, and attempts to block the work of the diplomatic mission continue.

While in practice the United States is blocking the possibility of a peaceful end to the conflict in Ukraine by all means, the media have circulated statements that the administration of US President Joe Biden secretly calls on the head of Ukraine to show openness to negotiations with Moscow.

However, such reports were mostly aimed at the US population, which has been voting on the US Senate elections, as well as on other Ukrainian partners who see no more sense to support the impotent Kiev regime.

It can be assumed that the Biden’s administration was intentionally throwing in the information about the negotiations, in an attempt to shade the work of the CIA, which oversees the black market of weapons from Ukraine.

At the same time, the trump card of the city of Kherson is being played on the Ukrainian battlefield. According to some media statements, the US and NATO have allowed the start of negotiations if Kherson is captured by Kiev forces. In this case, Kiev will be able to start a dialogue from a position of strength.

Given that the Russian military announced the possibility of withdrawal to the left bank of the Dnieper river, there is a high probability that Kiev will be able to gain control of the city almost without a fight.

In this case, Zelensky will fly to the G20 summit as the winner. Indonesia has already noted that it is ready to organize a meeting between Putin and Zelensky and Putin and Biden on the sidelines of the summit. However, the Russian president has not yet confirmed his participation in the G20 2022.

Rússia gave Kherson because of stupid commanders like Shoigu and Putin, who waste resources in the beginning of the war.

i wonder

what if they were just reacting to ukraine attacking donbass, it is probable that they didnt “plan” this special militairy operation, but got provoked in to it by ukranian attacks resulting in heavy collateral damage

helen

It’s true that they were reacting to Ukraine attacking Donbass, but the military plan EXISTED since 2021 because Putin had ordered the Army to draft it. They didn’t want to use it because they hoped for a diplomatic solution, but when the USA made Russia believe that Ukraine was invading Donbass, Putin ordered to start the SMO. The USA knew the existence and the details of the plan in advance, and had prepared to thwart it, that’s why the SMO failed.

USA is a shithole, EU is becoming one

There is only one solution: exterminate Ukrainianism. Death to all schizoids with nazy delusions. Break the Bolshevik project of Ukraine into its historical parts.

Otherwise Russia will become a parchetic remnant tolerated by USA, Slavelandia.

It is clear as day to me that Russia has ordered a retreat from Kherson for political/diplomatic reasons. The retreat is not because of military strategy. If it was, the retreat would have been ordered by Surovikin, an army man, not Shoigu, a politician. This coming on the same day that they announced the “death” of Kiril Stresoumov. Like other high ranking officials, their fake death was set up by the FSB. He is alive.

This is all to prepare the terrain for negotiations to take place. Russia will ask for formal recognition of so far occupied Ukrainian territory, the promise that Ukraine will never join NATO and demilitarization of areas close to Donetsk in a range of 50 km. The US and Europe will push the Ukrainians to sue for peace. That way, Russia will start re-exporting gas and oil to Europe and the US will shift their attention to China.

Bob McGee

The only ‘negotiation’ they’re going to get is by HIMARS, ha ha! Losers.

What you wrote is what the Empire wants Russians to believe, but that’s not what’s going to happen. What’s going to happen is a long Ukrainghanistan with neo-Nazis instead of Taliban. The Empire will NEVER recognize occupied Ukrainian territory (unless perhaps Crimea) because otherwise they won’t be able to say “we won” because Ukraine will be worse off at the end of 2022 than at the beginning.

The USA won’t allow Russia to re-export Gas to the EU in the next 5 years at least, that’s why they blew up Nordstream. They’re NOT going to lose the lucrative LNG market share in Europe to a competitor. And they’re going to control the EU through energy supplies – they made sure the EU substituted its dependency on Russian energy with dependency on their own energy.

Raul

I don’t think the US decides for the EU. It’s Just VonDerLayen that obeys mindlessly to Biden.

FHTEX

Actually, the so-called “decision of the Russian military to abandon Kherson merely called Ukraine’s bluff. For months Ukraine promised a million-man offensive to retake Kherson but now that the Russians say they are abandoning Kherson, Ukraine says it’s merely a trap and that now they won’t go near the city!

USA is a shithole, EU is becoming one

USA is heating up the Middle East.

Ukraine cannot offer formal recognition of leaving those lands to Russia without referendum and change of Constitution and this cannot de held while parts of Ukraine are occupied etc. It is a dead end, Ukraine is either destroyed or let to hit civilians of Donbass etc. until extetmination.

maharaja

That is one way to look at it. However one has to consider that the oil and gas has never really slowed at all. Russia still pays Ukraine for transit monthly, Russia allows the grain deal where Ukraine is selling its grain to Europe and Russia gives its grain free to Africa. It also allows Ukraine to import fuel for the war as a tanker was brought into Odessa yesterday. Russia claimed these areas part of Russia so on that note Russia is now losing ground to Ukraine. The position of the city was on the high ground, Russians have moved to the lower bank side of the river and are now digging defense in Crimea itself. Which will now be under fire from the high ground in Kherson. It is just as likely that the military knew they could not hold the city as they simply do not have the ability to do so. If that is the case they are finished. The front would have been no more than 25km to defend and they abandoned a “Russian”city without a fight. The claim is made to save lives? Then why even start a war you wont fight? As stupid as it sounds the old hippies got it right …”no blood for oil”” Avdeevka is only 4 miles from the capital of the DPR and it is still in the hands of the UAF. 9 Months could not see Russian troops take this area. The only battle Russia has won was in Mariupol. Ukraine has done no better as everything they have taken was either gifted or run from. They have never really had to force Russian troops out. This whole thing was a sham and it continues to be. Russias failures are many, the political is much worse than the military. Lots of talk in Russia about the “fifth column” the truth is the government of Russia is that column. Who wants to fight for that. It may very well be they try to negotiate but they have no leverage at this point. All the momentum is in Ukraine and the Euros and US will see blood in the water the sharks will now be coming. Russia has little time to turn the tide at this point. Maybe early winter will slow the UAF because the Russian armed forces ? Maybe they could but they refuse to try up to this point.

Ed Theman

Lets be honest with ourselves, Russia needs to negotiate because they are not winning anything in the last months and look to be losing in my opinion.

There’ll be no ‘negotiation’ until Crimea, Donetsk & Luhansk are fully liberated, and reparations are paid & Putin and his criminal regime are in the dock at The Hague.

Medved

Wow! Zelensky has joined us on Southfront under the handle “Bob McGee.” Welcome Cokehead!

Fake

I upvoted you Ed but I think there is some nuance. My guess is that Russia wanted Ukraine’s population of 44 million. Russia has negative immigration and needs people more than resources and that means they needed to win the hearts and minds of Ukrainians. Well, that didn’t happen and the Ukrainians are being slaughtered and taking Russians with them to prove it. The next move would be to get the “Westernized” Ukrainians out but I’m not sure how they plan on doing that. So, Russia really doesn’t have a move except to either attack Kiev and hope to collapse the government or surrender. I can’t imagine the CIA baited Russia into a war just so that it could re-take Crimea for the Ukraine but instead did it to destroy Russia. The problem there is that if Russia is backed into a corner the nukes could start to fly. The evacuation of Kherson was interesting. The evacuation of Moscow and other Russian cities for apparently no reason at all will be more interesting though.

helen

– Russia didn’t want Ukraine’s population, the Ukrainians have a negative birth/death rate ratio, worse even than Russia’s. – Putin wanted security for Russia itself and for the Russians of Ukraine. – The nationalists in Russia wanted the old Russian lands that they didn’t get back when the USSR was dissolved. They still want them, in fact.

Fake

So why didn’t they just bomb everything indiscriminately if they wanted the land and not the population? The land won’t run away and you don’t need the infrastructure if you don’t have any people. If they wanted security why not nuke Washington and London and head for the hills and wait for the smoke to clear?

helen

Putin wanted a negotiated peace since the very beginning! In April, the Russians had accepted to withdraw to the Feb 24th line of contact, in exchange for Ukraine staying demilitarized/neutral with security guarantees by other countries.

maharaja

Do you really think any of that is possible now? No matter what Putin may have wanted he ended up with a war. I have said it many times on here and that is what he has. Even if he refuses to fight it or acknowledge it , it is still there. As silly as it sounds it is simple they either win that war or they lose. Right now it looks a lot more like the possibility is loss. No sanctions will be removed no matter the outcome of negotiations. No recognition of land will ever be had… just like Crimea will not be recognized. The West will offer him to withdraw from all Ukraine lands and pay for the invasion. They are already trying to move Russias gold and money they confiscated to this purpose.

The only option left for Russia was to crush its enemy in a way that left no doubts about its abilities and we can clearly see that did not take place either. There was a ton of propaganda about how Russia itself was under threat and would be dissolved etc. Right now that is a real possibility. If Russia can not turn it around and defeat Ukraine on the battle field it is finished as it is today. It will be relegated to little status and no consideration while picked apart and divided. Not by the west but by its own being cheered on and led by the West.

Russia needs to fight the war it is in. However no actions on there part show any willingness to due it nor the ability to do so. No grain deals, no gestures of good will. Those who have been in charge must all be replaced by better or Russia will wither and end. So it will be up to the Russian people to decide… they will either allow it to die a slow death or they will demand it take the actions required and demand that its leaders fight….that its people fight. In Russia there should be no talk of negotiations at this time. That looks too much like a white flag.

Christopher

Why aren’t you at the G20 summit giving the world the benefit of you alleged wisdom, I’m sure Russia, China and all the rest would listen to you in awe? 😎

How to put this politely, The regime in DC has been a facilitator of whatever foreign interest pays it the most for a very long time. That unfortunate fact is still true today. If these jackasses were factually in the employment of the American People, we would be doing quite well and nobody else would be the worse for it. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Kherson surrender

Russia is withdrawing from Russian Federation territory again. Hello! Didn’t Putin annex Kherson?! And now Putin is surrendering Kherson so soon? Biggest defeat Of the Russian military since the first Chechen war in the 1990s. This is the 3rd military defeat after Balakleya and Krasny Liman. If there isn’t discontent in Russia, then you are Putin’s slaves. He is incompetent.

If Zelensky goes to the G20 meeting and Putin doesn’t, it’ll be a defeat for Putin. He must attend and NOT do the same mistake Biden made when he didn’t attend the Winter Olympics in China, letting Xi with no option but Putin. If Putin doesn’t attend the G20 Summit, the entire world’s impression will be of a new leader (Zelensky) eclipsing the old one (Putin – out of sight, out of people’s mind).

So lets suppose that Russia makes a deal with the US that the Donbas will have some sort of autonomy in exchange for Russian withdrawal from Kherson and other regions of Ukraine

What’s to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO and then having US MISSILES and TROOPS (under the guise of defensive armament) being stationed in the country which is a direct threat to Russian national security ???

whatever the outcome, Russians must remember the West’s hostility. The West has many enemies and the Russians are obligated to arm and support them everywhere. Help all disguntled people in the West eliminate their “leaders” by giving them lethal aid and help rebels across the world to kill the American soldier, wherever he may be squatting like a parasite
