SDF Prepares To Launch Advance On Deir Ezzor - Reports

(THE ASSOCIATED PRESS FILE PHOTO)

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are preparing to launch a military operation against ISIS in the province of Deir Ezzor, according to media speculations and reports by pro-SDF activists.

The SDF could launch the military operation “within several weeks” aimd the ongoing fighting for the city of Raqqah, Reuters reported citing, Ahmed Abu Khawla, head of the Deir Ezzor military council. [a part of the  SDF]

“The operation to liberate Deir al-Zor will begin very, very soon,” Khawla said according to Reuters. The SDF commander added that his unit has already “entered Deir al-Zor [Deir Ezzor] territory and liberated several towns.”

According to the report, there were 4,000 fighters, mostly Arabs and mostly from Deir Ezzor, in the faction that Khawla heads. However, this number looks overestimated. The US has repatedly faced significant problems during its attempts to build an Arab faction of the SDF. Despite these attempts, Kurdish militias remain a core of the group.

Reality will hit you since Russia and US already drawled up the border for deconflict zones and that includes everything above river going to SDF.

Could be very well be dutchnational sounds like another Anarcho-Fascist with their support for terrorism. Besides the US has an extremely weakened position in the international stage and hold even less with their continued genocide in the region.

Wake up, western intelligence services have long had very well funded and specific information agencies that exert remarkable control over a compliant western MSM that date back to 1940’s, and they equally have large budgets to employ terminal rooms to monitor and intervene in online discussion forums – ex-employees have publicly stated this. Even the most basic of private sector commercial public relations agencies have long understood how to deploy these same well established practices over last decades – otherwise called guerilla marketing – to try and covertly insert your narrative and or product into topic related published media or open forum topic discussions.

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

US position in Syria is not strong, I doubt Putin agreed on anything with US, since they cannot keep any agreements and its proxies are getting mauled badly. US is not winning anything in Syria, subsequently their bargaining position is weak.

        • Solomon Krupacek

unfortunately, usa do not need putins agreement. the do what they want. and putin listen to them

          • Jesus

Actually what USA can do is very limited, since they do not want to put boots on tjmeground in Syria in significant numbers. They have no bargaining position using gypsy proxy armies reinforced with a few hundred SOF. The reality of the matter is, Russia with a small force and allies has handcuffed US and Israel’s ambitions in the area.

          • Solomon Krupacek

they dont need lot of soldiers in syria, there was enough 70 pieces and around an tabf is 50 miles safe zone :P

btw. according your logig: Actually what RUSSIA can do is very limited, since they do not want to put boots on the ground in Syria in significant numbers.

          • Jesus

Russia has a lot more boots on the ground than US, with corresponding weaponry, unlike like footed US SOF. US’ proxies can be manipulated by regional players while one of them will be totally destroyed.
Russia is testing a wide array of weapons in Syria, while US has some artilery units around Racca, therefore Russian foot print is larger and more powerful than the American footprint.
SAA an allies are far more capable and much better equipped than the Kurds or ISIS, therefore the clear advantage on the battlefield is on the Russian and allies side.

          • gustavo

Nop, You will never know what these barbarian are capable to do.

          • dutchnational

Well, I do not know what you consider checkmate. US never had a real strategy as far as Syria was concerned. It was in the Russian influence sphere, US never had a position there. Now they have influence in the 25% of Syria that is SDF held and are trying to formulate a strategy that is consistent, not easy for them.

Israel is different. Israel has no territorial ambitions within Syria beyond what is already has. They would like a weak Syria off course and look, thats what they got. Their only real worries are Hezbollah and Iran in southern Syria.

          • Manuel Flores Escobar

yeah and Putin fighterjets escorting SAA troops that took Iraqi/Syrian border in spite of US troops near Al tanf and other facilitie! beside many Russian airstrike vs US backed forces near Al Tanf!

          • Solomon Krupacek

only outside of the safe zone. this zone also the russian have fear to disturb. but amricans freely hunt saa in all syria.

      • General Surena

USA WİLL BE THE BİGGEST “LOSER” İN SYRİA… wait and see…

        • gustavo

What is the country which was destroyed ? USA ? This is what Israel wanted, to see Syria totally destroyed, and USA-NATO-Israel have been successful achieving this (usisng ISIS-Daesh-Nustra-and moderated terrorirsts, with the help also of Turkey, Qatar, Jorfan, and Saudis). The great idea was also to destroy Iran and Russia (using first some type of “spring-something”), and I think they have failed on this matter.

      • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

They are full of bluster and can’t even draw the necessary support for the operation which the allies have confirmed no support from them. The Arab population in the north are even opposed to this idea and especially since it is lead by the illegal combatant the US and it’s mercenaries.

The assumptions made by you are just media nonsense since they haven’t got past central Syria zones. This could only be made by an idiot like Col.Ryan Dillon in the assumption department , which seems to be the perfect patsy for saying things that the US would only deny later if called out on it.

      • Ronald

That is the US dream , owning the eastern half of Syria , and then the creation of a new ” Kurdistan ” , or ” Sunnistan ” , whoever will buy their sales pitch . Reality however , is unlikely to agree with the American dream of a divided Syria .

    • Manuel Flores Escobar

USA will do the Raqqa doctrine…it is to approach SDF puppets to DZ…then US will give MONEY to ISIS to withdraw most of their terrorist in order to stop SAA…only few will remain east of DZ…then SDF puppets can take DZ like they do in Raqqa!..USA did the same during Irak invasion giving money to republican guard commanders of all division except Medina and republican guard special division!…then they could entry in Bagdad!

      • Jesus

Racha doctrine will not work since SDF is sealed by SAA and they cannot move towards Deir Ezzor. Even an approach on the eastern side of Euphrates will be under the fire control of SAA on the western side of Eufrates.
A lot of the Tiger forces will be moving along the Bishri – Deir Ezzor axis cutting off any ISIS attempt to counter attack in the area around Madaan.
US proxies are running out of oxygen.

        • Murf

“Euphrates will be under the fire control of SAA on the western side of Eufrates”
How did that workout the last time. ancous to loose more fighters?

    • Murf

Three years ago they could only dream of reliving Kobani.
Now they weeks away for taking ISISs capital.
When you are the US’s ally you can dream big.

    • gustavo

Not rreally, be careful about that since USA is behind all of this. You never will know what these barbarian could make.

  • Expo Marker

The real intent of the SDF has been revealed, that capturing oil and gas rich areas and prevent the SAA from reclaiming ownership of them, as well as distancing them from Al-Hasaka and Qamishli.

At this point, the SDF doesn’t even operate in Kurdish areas anymore, they are grabbing Arab lands.

    • Todd Smithe

Tsk you only care about oil and gas just as much as them is the world are we to believe that you are better then them that with that logic?

      • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Sad that even the US couldn’t coordinate their proxies to be effective for very long as they have lost everything they gained and are in for losing more since they came out the worse for their faint hope charge.

      • Try English?

        • Solomon Krupacek

          was nice english

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Huge English grammar failure “then them that with that logic” is just the tip of the iceberg , previously” just as much as them is the world are we to believe” this is what happens with you while have you drank too much. Typically incoherent phrasing because it is just someone babbling nonsense.

          • No it wasn’t.
I read it twice – the second time out loud – to be sure.
            ….You try.

The SAA WILL recapture eastern Syria. Be if from ISIS or from “SDF”? Makes no difference.

  • John Whitehot

    there we go again.
Seems they can’t help theirselves to speak this utter bullshit.

The US will not go to war with Syria, the SDF can cry all it wants, along the parties interested for that to happen, be they salafists , israelis or the US colonies in eastern europe.

Let’s see how much these people is willing to risk a global catastrophe to fulfill their lowly, vile agendas.

  • Joe Doe

As I was saying before many time. SAA has not much time to clean central Syria and make advances East, before SDF and americans will do it to avoid any cook pretext to bomb SAA. Sooner the SAA clea those 2 packets in central Syria, then better off SAA will be

    • Solomon Krupacek

you were right. my opinion is similar. first DEZ city, after isis pockets destroying. but the barking nobodies immediately attack and bute us for wise and truth words.

      • PZIVJ
        • Solomon Krupacek

so, it is very nice, that you according to my words identified yourself as barking nobody :)))

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

They are taking both pockets as we speak and the eradication along the border with the HTS faction between Syria and Lebanon is assured and will be held for tribunal hearings. None of them are being moved to Idlib. The SAA has already gained most of the area lost, and will be advancing on Maadan and the Bishri Triangle will be controlled. The SDF is making this as a publicity stunt since the SAA is advancing against Daesh swiftly.

this will be fun to watch them come up against non aligned Daesh as the one leader who talks to McGurk has no control over these ones.

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The one who barked is you after a charged that failed to materialize any solid gains and is showing the wear on a the proxies ability to maintain any sustained attack.

        • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Leave to two love birds alone they have a budding relationship based on their mutual love for terrorists.

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Wrong the Seventh son of a Seventh son, please get it right.

        • Hell — I thought they were already at the get a room phase of the relationship.

      • Turbofan

You need men to defend a pocket? You always argue that SAA is weak, however you want them to defend 2 pockets and also advance on DZ..Isnt that making 2 exactly opposite points…unless you dont understand the idea of a pocket….Let me give you a hint.Pockets take a huge amount of man power to defend

        • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The second pocket is nearing total capture and the second has already seen advancement on the fronts near Salba. The large portion of Daesh in that pocket will take longer to deal with but they will surrender and face military tribunals also.

        • Solomon Krupacek

in those 2 pockets are few terrorists. and please, send there some recruits, rrookies. i think, it was not necessary to split the big pocket and elongate the frontlines. now ssa takes some desert sand and rock. and put in risc the euphrates. without that river has syria no future. it is more important than the oil and gas. also these problems in arab world and also in syria were due to loss of agricultural soil. without water will be much, much worse. also the climate changes will worsen this proceess. assad is emperor in syria. he must see 10 steps in aqdvance and think on all aspects.

      • PZIVJ

But I thought you wanted SAA to advance on Albu kamal first. So they could be slaughtered in the desert because their flanks are wide open to ISUS counter attacks.

        • Solomon Krupacek

both direction! if sdf take mayadan, you can forget abu kamal. i always wrote abu kamal, and from abu kamal north to mayadan. in the mid suhknah, and from sihnak 3 direction. the most important is to clos the territory, and for that reason the north and south directions are very important.

the situation is very serious and dangereus for assad:

          https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/us-backed-forces-push-hasakah-deir-ezzor/

and will be worse. americans use more and more f-22 in syria and be sure, they have plan to take whole euphrates.

isis is this part still strong, which showed also the results of their counteroffensive:

          https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/one-hundred-syrian-soldiers-killed-today-due-isis-offensive-rural-raqqa-amaq/

          https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/breaking-isis-launches-humongous-offensive-south-raqqa-makes-major-gains/

in the saa instead of focusing on the most important thing, plays its childish games. the line abu kamal-mayadan-dez city-maadan is of strategic importance. everything else in hama and homs coupled with isis ihas only tactical importance. so, assad should send the best units to maadan, abu kamal, mayadan, dez city. asap. yessterday was too late!

          • PZIVJ

“assad should send the best units to maadan, abu kamal, mayadan, dez city. asap. yesterday was too late!”
For sure Maadan and Deir Ezzor are the top priority. If SAA can clear the Mount Bishri triangle this would help both fronts. I think Mayadan and Abu Kamal will have to wait quite a while. ISUS is still a force to be reckoned with on this front.
(And still no support from the Iraqi side of the border towards Al Qaim) :(

          • Solomon Krupacek

al Kam is as important as dez city. saa always piss on sithern border. and this is also tale, that can not hold border without iraqians. thes hold pretty nice piece. and somekilometers mor will not endanger. if take al kamm, then isi lost everything on the right sight of euphrates. in both, iraq and syria.

          • roger temple

Ah. The master strategist blaaahs again. Fortunately SAA, Iran, Russia and Hezbollah are not listening to you.

          • Solomon Krupacek

and lost the war. allowed occupy syria by turks and ammies. napalm on putin!

It won’t happen soon the SDF will be in full panicked retreat everywhere.
Notice no ISIS counter attacks against the SDF outside of Raqqa city as there are against the SAA?
The SDF is nothing to worry about. Soon the bulk of the Turkish army will be attacking the SDF in Syria all long the Turkish border and in Iraq as well. Turkey will also attack the American bases there if they don’t surrender to Turkish forces as the very survival of Turkish state and people is at stake.

      • “This is why the racist supremacist Jewish empire is already talking about sanctions against Turkey.”

They will not try anything in Rojave.
The only place they mess is Afrin.
And that is because Russia was supposed to insure their continued part of Syria.
So much for trusting Russia to have your back.

        • John Brown

The F35 is a piece of garbage no ne wants it and Russia make the best helicopters. The USA use to make the best fighter jets and submarines, but they are now to corrupt for any of that. Half the Pentagon budget is stolen right off of the top. Russia also makes the best anti aircraft systems. You are totally wrong about everything.

Any enemy of the racist supremacist Jewish empire who longs for freedom from being enslaved by racist supremacist Jews, will be very very happy about this and hope that all other USA planes that actually work will be scrapped and that all slave countries of the racist supremacist Jewish empire will only have the F 35 garbage.

    • Solomon Krupacek

      • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

This is race that the US can’t win considering the attempts already made , blockhead!

        • Solomon Krupacek

          already won.

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The US is flailing everywhere and seem more like a drowned man trying to stay afloat. They are losing and have by all appearances have lost and why their allies told them to start focusing efforts back in Iraq or face withdrawal of support at the UN , which is still tenuous as to whether they will be charged with war crimes.

      • Little gnome also understood it’s a race they will lose – and leave Raqqa wide open for the SAA.

  • wimroffel

    “The SDF is coming”
We have heard that threat for over a year now. And until now it hasn’t happened.

If in the past the SAA had allowed itself to be led by those fears it wouldn’t be where it is now. Instead it would have indulged in stretching the front lines with as a result an almost stalemate. It is the systematic approach that is increasingly driving the opposition forces to marginal areas.

But recently they seem to lose their focus. They are attacking simultaneously the now-pockets in East-Hama/Homs, east of Sukhnah, Humaymah, the Lebanese border and the al-Tanf area – not to mention rumors of even more fronts. Yet at the same time we see that for the first time in a very long time ISIS has been quite successful with some counterattacks. It suggests that the SAA is neglecting its defense. That will cost them – not only in territory and men but also in decreased morale. And that will damage their effectiveness in battle.

I don’t see the need for this fear about the SDF. The Syrian government has a route to Iraq. It has a presence in the city of Deir Ezzor. It may or may not win back the whole road from Deir Ezzor to the Iraqi border but even if it doesn’t it is in a good position for later negotiations with the SDF. The priority is now just to get rid of ISIS. That will put the Americans in Syria in the uncomfortable position that they no longer have a mission to stay there. And it will give the Syrian government a much stronger position to regards to the opposition in the West of the country.

It is anybody’s guess what will happen to the SDF and the Kurds in the long term. It depends to a large extent on external players like the US and Turkey. It also depends on how Iraq will deal with its Kurds. However, I don’t believe that whether they control al-Bukamal will make any difference.

  • Murf

Well some one has to do it.
Lord knows the SAA are moving every direction BUT DeZ.

    • Solomon Krupacek

“Well some one has to do it.”

      you are the King!
