On Saturday, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) repelled an attack of ISIS in al-Amin and al-Hiny districts in the center of Raqqa city.
SDF fighters destroyed two ISIS VBIEDs and killed 48 ISIS fighters.
The SDF destroyed another ISIS VBIED around the national hospital in the center of Raqqa. The SDF also captured a jail and an ammo depot of ISIS in the same area during its advance today.
Meanwhile, SDF fighters evacuated 45 civilians including women and children from the ISIS-held area in the Raqqa city center.
US Army Colonel Ryan Dillon, spokesman for the US-led coalition, announced that the US led-collation airdropped more than 90,000 leaflets, and made loudspeaker calls on frontlines in Raqqa to notify the remaining civilians on how they could evacuate safely.
In a separated development, the SDF and the Deir Ezzor Military Council (DMZ) captured the sugar factory, electricity station north of Deir Ezzor city. The SDF and the DMZ are still 3km away from the western bank of the Euphrates River.
The ISIS-linked news agency Amaq claimed that 4 civilians were killed and 65 others were injured in a US-led collation airstrike on al- Mayadin city in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside. Amaq also released a video of that shows the civilians who were killed or injured in the airstrike. SF does not release it. However, the video could be easily found online.
