On July 15, two militants of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army were killed and four others were injured when their post was attacked by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)

According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, fighters of the SDF’s Manbij Military Council raided the post, which is located near the town of al-Ghandoura in northern Aleppo, in the early morning hours.

The Turkish military responded to the raid by shelling SDF-held areas in northern Aleppo. No human or material losses were reported.

A day earlier, the SDF destroyed a military vehicle of Turkish-backed militants near the town of Marimeen in northern Aleppo with anti-tank guided missile. Several militants were reportedly wounded .

Furthermore, the group’s fighters raided a post of Turkish-backed militants near the town of al-Trwaziyah in northern Raqqa. A Turkish-backed militant was killed and four others were wounded as a result of the raid.

The SDF has been stepping up its operations against Turkish forces in northern and northeastern Syria for a while now. This behavior may force Ankara to take drastic military action. A recent report revealed that the Turkish military and its proxies are already preparing an offensive on the SDF-held town of Manbij.
