Russian officer, veteran of the Chechen wars, was killed in Syria in January.
On January 31, Russian officer, Alexei Naynodin, was killed in Syria, the Mezhdunarodnyye Novosti 24 news website reported on Monday. According to the website, the Naynodin’s death has not been announced officially. Any details about circumstances of his death also still have not been revealed.
According to friends and relatives of the killed officer, they are waiting for the return of Naynodin’s colleagues from the battlefield to know all the details.
Naynodin was born in 1965; he passed all the Chechen wars and was wounded in the fighting in the Donbass.
The officer was honorably buried in the town of Krymsk, Krasnodar Krai. In total, according to available data, about 25 Russian soldiers were killed in Syria.
