During the fighting on the Ukrainian front lines, large amount of the enemy military equipment is seized by the both sides. The captured equipment is repaired if needed and serves against its former owners.
So far, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) have been forced to leave a lot of their military positions on the Donbass front lines. As a result, a lot of Ukrainian, as well as foreign-made weapons provided by the Kiev’s allies have been captured by the Russian-led forces in working condition.
According to an interview recently given by one of the LPR servicemen, the Ukrainian servicemen leave a lot of equipment on the battlefield and they try to break it to prevent the enemy from obtaining it. However, the LPR forces repair it and sent it back to the front.
The most popular trophee for the Russian-led forces are RPGs, various anti-tank missile systems.
In one of the captured Ukrainian positions in the Liman direction, the Russian army seized NATO weapons, which were used by the AFU:
The LDPR warehouses were recently replenished by weapons seized from one of the units of the 93rd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The military reporters from Eastern Ukraine assume that a Ukrainian company is equipped with at least 2 NLAW and 2 Javelin systems. They also use dozens of RPGs.
Russian special forces seized Ukrainian Soviet-made guns from the 1960s.
Soldiers of the Russian Rosgvardia unit have seized a Ukrainian 2S3 Akatsiya SPA (Self-Propelled Artillery). At the moment the technical capabilities of this equipment are being mastered.
A DPR official said that on May 19 that LPR troops, supported by the Russian army, captured one 122-mm BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher, three armored vehicles, and three cargo vehicles.
However, not all of the equipment could be repaired…
The Russian army captures equipment of various types. Since a large number of weapons are left by the Ukrainian troops when fleeing from their positions, they are supplied directly to the Russian-led forces. Whenever possible, captured Ukrainian equipment is repaired and returned to the battlefield.
