On September 2, the situation on the southern front lines in Ukraine was relatively calm. The Armed Forces of Ukraine almost stopped their attempts to attack the Russian military positions, regrouping their forces. Meanwhile, the Russian military seized the initiative and went on counteroffensive.
The area near Andreevka remains one of the most dangerous sections on the Kherson front.

The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed the AFU command post in Bereznegovaty from where Ukrainian forces develop their offensive. The HIMARS MLRS and Tochka-U missile system were struck by Russian forces.
All three pontoon crossings of the AFU through the Ingulets River were disabled.
After failed attempt to advance to the north towards the village of Bruskinskoe, the AFU attempted to advance in the southern direction from their positions near Kostromka, but failed to establish a stronghold and were pushed back. The Ukrainian grouping in the corridor from Alexandrovka to Kostromka are currently in a cauldron and are heavily shelled by the Russian artillery and aviation.
According to local residents, there is fighting in Ternovka. The Russian Armed Forces managed to advance from Blagodatovka and break through the Ukrainian defense on the right bank of the Ingulets river. If they succeed, the entire grouping of the AFU will be blockaded.
No changes were reported on the other front lines in the southern regions of Ukraine.
The Russian military are expecting another attempt of the AFU to counterattack in the Snigirevka area. From the side of Nikolaev, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have transferring 25 units of equipment to Pervomaiske to attack Blagodatnoye and Snigirevka.
The Russian Army reportedly destroyed the Ukrainian ammunition depot in Partizanskoye, from where the AFU attempt to advance towards Snegirevka.
In accordance to the traditional terrorist tactics of the Kiev regime, unable to advance on the front lines, the AFU are shelling civilians.
Due to the morning shelling of the Armed Forces in Kherson, local residents were reportedly killed when a civilian house was hit.
Several Ukrainian shells reportedly hit the water elevator of Novaya Kakhovka. A huge amount of grain was destroyed, the head of the local administration said. It was impossible to save the grain because of the fire.
Meanwhile, residents of Kherson celebrate six months since the Ukrainian authorities fled the city.
