A Polish-made Krab howitzer.
The Russian military has destroyed more of Ukraine’s new Polish-made Krab self-propelled 155 mm howitzer in the special military operation zone.
On January 2, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov announced that the Russian military’s Strategic Rocket Forces had destroyed a Krab howitzer in the Kherson region.
“A Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer was destroyed near Antonovka in the Kherson Region,” Konashenkov said during a press briefing.
Prior to that, specifically on December 27 and January 1, videos showing two completely destroyed Krab howitzers in the Kharkiv region surfaced online.
Poland’s weapons manufacturer Huta Stalowa Wola, developed the Krab by combining the South Korean K9 Thunder chassis with a British BAE Systems AS-90M Braveheart turret with French Nexter Systems 52-calibre long gun and Polish WB Electronics’ Topaz artillery fire control system.
The howitzer has a maximum firing range of 30 kilometers with regular shells, and up to 50 kilometers with American-made M982 Excalibur precision-guided rounds. It can fire up to six shells per minute.
In May, Ukraine received at least 18 Krabs from Polish military stocks. Later, it placed an order for an additional 60 howitzers for $700 million.
Kiev forces received hundreds of artillery systems from the United States and its allies after the start of the Russian special military operation last February. Many of these systems have been already damaged, destroyed or captured by the Russian military.

Russia needs to cut the arms supplies coming into to Ukraine to end the war. This can be done two ways. Either sending troops to physically occupy the supply lines or by bombing all the arms convoys, railroads, tunnels, airports that bring in the supplies. So far, Russia has done none of these things.
