On November 19, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrived in Kiev, where he met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. He declared the decision of the British government to provide Ukraine with air defense systems worth £50 million.
The office of Zelensky did not reveal the topics the two leaders discussed. Zelensky claimed that they discussed “the most important issues both for our countries and for global security.” Immediately after, the new aid package was declared.
The new military aid package from the UK will include 125 anti-aircraft guns, radars and electronic warfare equipment to counter Russian drones.
“Today we are providing new means of air defense, including anti—aircraft guns, radars and anti-drone equipment, as well as strengthening humanitarian support ahead of a cold and harsh winter,” Sunak said.
Sunak took over the British government on October 25. His first official visit to Ukraine is a clear sign that London will not change its policy towards Ukraine and Russia. Sunak continued the same narrative as his predecessors, calling the Kiev regime a fighter “to protect the principles of sovereignty and democracy.” He promised to continue supporting Kiev together with British allies.
Sunak continuously claims the need to end the conflict, but continues to add fuel to the fire. The most recently, he declared that it would be “dishonest” to push Kiev to negotiate with Moscow. London, according to him, is trying to provide Ukraine with the “strongest possible position” in the negotiation process. However, it only deepens the crisis in the war-torn crisis.

As an American I can tell you that the U.S. is not doing well, politically, economically, socially. Having said that, compared to the UK and western Europe we’re not so bad. Western Europe is literally on the brink of complete economic collapse. I think there will be some tumultuous and unpredictable economic times ahead in Europe but there will be a recovery and a return to sovereignty after the EU withers away. As long as the EU bureaucrats are in charge there will be no positive change in Europe.
