On the 22-23d of March, there were 81 new arrivals to Chios. This shows that, while all Chios camps were frantically emptied over the weekend in a bid to clean the islands, refugees and boats will continue coming. Volunteers of “Action from Switzerland” conclude that it might be a while before we see any obvious changes in the route, thus they will continue to aid refugees, alongside the Chios Eastern Shore Response Team and Salvamento Marítimo Humanitario. There have also been 53 new arrivals to Samos on March, 21, and 24 during the night on March, 22nd. An estimated number of refugees at the Samos camp today is more than 600. On March, 22nd, 337 refugees took the ferry from Samos to Athens. 54 more people arrived to Kastellorizo island, making the total number of refugees on the island 124. The island has no camp, so refugees are largely on the streets. The situation is appalling. On the 22nd of March, 81 new arrivals to Vial, no-one arrived to the camp.
