Up to 50 people have been injured in a car bomb attack that hit a hospital in the Turkish province of Mardin on August 10. The blast was reported at a hospital in the city of Kiziltepe located near the Syrian-Turkish border.

Another bomb went off in Diyarbakir in southeast Turkey. Local autohrities say that the attack injured a number of policemen.

Southeastern Turkey is a mostly Kurdish-populated area. Reports say that the attacks were likely conducted by the Kurdish militant group, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
