The situation in the Gaza Strip is escalating.
In the morning of May 4, Israel’s “democratic leader-in-chief” Benjamin Netanyahu declared tha the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) would continue striking targets in the Gaza Strip in the ongoing tensions with Palestinian armed groups, first of all Hamas.
Netanyahu said that he had instructed the IDF to increase its mechanized and artillery forces near the region, and promised to keep up “massive strikes” on Palestinian areas.
According to reports, troops from the IDF’s 7th armored brigade have been moved south. The Israeli military said the forces “would be ready to act as an offensive force within the Gaza Division.”

According to the IDF, Hamans and other Palestinain groups have launched at least 430 rockets at Israeli targets. In own turn, IDF units struck over 100 targets inside the Gaza Strip, including a HQ of Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency. Israeli soruces claimed that the Hamas HQ was located in the building, in which Anadolu Agency operates.
