Netanyahu Confirms Israeli Airstrikes On Syria's Damascus International Airport

FILE: Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attends the weekly cabinet meeting at his office in Jerusalem, Oct. 7, 2018.

On January 13, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Israel conducted an airstrike on Syria over the weekend. He claimed that the airstrike destroyed a number of Iranian weapons caches in the Damascus International Airport.

“The Israel Defense Forces has attacked hundreds of Iranian and Hezbollah targets. Just in the past 36 hours, the air force attacked Iranian depots full of Iranian weapons in the Damascus International Airport,” Netanyahu said, speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting.

According to him, “Israeli warplanes coming from the direction of the Galilee fired several missiles toward the vicinity of Damascus.”

Israel’s acknowledgement of attacks on Syria is rare.

However, Israel’s outgoing military chief of staff Lieutenant-General Gadi Eisenkot stressed during a recent New York Times interview that the Israeli military had “struck thousands of targets without claiming responsibility or asking for credit.”

Cannot understand Iran and Syria can be sooooo stupid to all their stockpile drstdestr so easily by Israel air raids.

It cannot happen even with fools in charge.

Well Israel more likely exagerexagge as there is no such thing that air raid can be effective to destroy anything

Just wondering if fools are in charge or Isarel is bluffing which they usually do

    • Brian Michael Bo Pedersen

Maybe its like drugdealers, when police find 1 ton of drugs, 10 tons comes in through the back door, sometimes literally 🤣

    • Nowruz

I strongly doubt that Tehran would place their weapons near Damascus airport. Israel is using that as an excuse to attack Damascus while invading Lebanese airspace. They are limited to positions, so attacking Damascus while covering behind civilian aircraft and mountains would make IDF seem like they are doing something (like those false tunnels they created). The Israelis are historically cowards and they b***h and complain when something bad happens to them. I’m not worried about the IDF they are the biggest joke. Big brother is the only reason they are relevant in the Middle East. Lies and manipulation is the Khazar way.

      • xTheWarrior22

Yeah remember when Israhellis F16 jet was shot down last year? The entire western world was crying xD

        • FlorianGeyer

          I cried with laughter :)

        • Zionism = EVIL

Well shooting down one jet is not enough, deterrence means responding to every aggression as Hezbollah does at great cost, but that keeps the Zionist petrified. So far Syria and its “allies” have only taken a daily beating and done nothing. Syria is already in a mess so what could be worse? The Zionists only understand the logic of violence and strength, so if Syria wants to retain any dignity it has to hit back. Same goes for Iranians who have lost 780 men in Syria including 8 senior IRGC officers in Zionist strikes.

        • John Whitehot

and it also seem they stopped making raids at day – because we would not have known abt that f-16 if there wasn’t a video showing it being shot out of the sky

  • John Whitehot

These air raids are just a pantomime put up to support the lies Bibi has told to the Israeli people.

They probably don’t even care about what or if they hit anything, nor they need to enter Syrian airspace.

As a secondary objective, they perform missions in such ways to increase the likeness that Syria or its allies commit some kind of propagandistic disaster, like the last time when they tried to make Syria shoot down an airliner over Damascus.

As there is no real military reason for these “strikes”, one can see clearly how the current israeli administration is devoid of any morality, humanity and empathy.

They have been elected because of the scare tactics the mossad supported jewnazi party has forced on Israel, to advance the land-grabbing, power-mongering agenda Israel has adopted since decades.

Furthermore, Israel cannot accept that Syria can act as a base for Russia and Iran to detect and counter possible nuclear strikes against Iran: this administration is entirely able to use nuclear weapons and then invent some story to justify their actions in front of the international community.

My take is that Israel has largely surpassed Saudi Arabia as the most dangerous supporter of terrorist acts worldwide, and that without a decisive international pressure (which won’t come anyway), bad things will happen to innocent peoples and countries before this danger is removed.

    • Rob

Netanyahu kicked out Lieberman and brought another one. I don’t know when he will fire this new one because when this new one order for attack on Syria so his entire body shakes.

    • RichardD

The primary purpose of these raids is to demonstrate IAF and NATO superiority over Russia and it’s allies to further Yinon plan regional destabilization and the advancement of the Jew world order hostile take over hegemony project.

      • Zionism = EVIL

Well, they have proved that Syria is impotent, and unless the Syrians hit back the Zionist attacks will become a daily event and prove far more deadly as sooner than later a large civilian aircraft will be hit as Damascus is a dual use airport with a small military aviation wing on the far north side which has warehouses that are hit almost daily with Popeye stand off missiles fired from Occupied Golan and Lebanese airspace which is barely 40kms distance and there is no adequate warning time. The Russians are in total collusion with Zionists as they even know when these strikes will happen. It is interesting to note that even the S-300 can shut down the whole Zionist airspace if the Syrians ever fought back. No wonder the IDF chief of staff is boasting that they have conducted “thousands” of airstrikes on Syria in the past 5 years with impunity. Shame on Syria, Russia and Iran for such cowardice.

        • RichardD

I completely agree that it’s a serious problem. It’s probably doing more damage to Russia than Syria. Even if Syria is suffering the material and personnel damage. Russia is suffering reputation degradation that is causing it problems across the board. The SADF is dependent on not only Russian hardware, but just as important Russia’s satcom and EW systems. So it’s clear that the Jew attacks are happening due to Russian inaction.

These are effectively self inflicted wounds that Russia is doing to itself. I don’t see where the escalation risk is sufficiently prohibitive to deter the SADF from taking down IAF planes. It’s higher if you add in destroying the IAF bases that these airstrikes are originating from. But even then it’s questionable exactly what the Israelis could do about it. The IDF as a stand alone force would only invite more damage to itself and Israel with any significant escalation. That would make the current government even more unpopular. Especially once the myth of IDF invincibility is thoroughly shattered.

The only escalation option of any significance that the Jews have is dragging the US into the conflict as a direct participant. Granted they have a nuclear option. But without Israeli territory being invaded and overrun like in 73. The justification for using it is essentially non existent. And I don’t see the US intervening directly in response to retaliatory strikes on IAF aircraft and bases stemming from Israeli provocation attacks on Syria. Especially now that Trump is trying to get out of Syria.

Granted, my analysis is based on open source information. And I’m not dismissing the possibility that classified information is contributing to the current status of operations. And I’m sure that there is classified information that has mitigating effects. But it doesn’t change the perception that Russia is being made to look weak and coerced in the public view. And that’s an important consideration.

          • Zionism = EVIL

Richard, the Syrians need to retaliate with commensurate force, or they will be hit harder. The US will not start a full scale war for Zionists and neither will they as Hezbollah has proven by raining missiles on Zionist scum for 33 days.

          • RichardD

If fully utilized with the capabilities in place, the S-300 battalions are essentially S-400 battalions. If they work to spec.. Not only are they capable of taking down IAF fighters. But also handling any mass airstrike escalation that the Jews may attempt. The Syrians would be foolish to try to go it alone using just their stand alone capability without Russian support. When they’re winning the war and it would risk annihilating their primary ally.

The Syrian government coalition’s ability to destroy IAF bases is mostly classified non open source information at this time. I’d be very surprised if they didn’t have extensive capability in Syria to perform this task on an as needed basis.

        • Patriotic_White_American

They can’t shut down shit, IAF Air defense is far more powerful with Iron Dome, David Sling and Arrow 3 working in conjunction

Arrow 3 intercepted a missile moving at hypersonic speeds

          • John Whitehot

that’s because you take israel’s words at face value.

in fact, being a mentally challenged individual, that makes sense.

in reality, the fragment of reality that emerge show completely different scenarios, David Sling failed miserably at intercepting early 80’s missiles, the SAMs falled inside Syrian territory and were retrieved by the SAA and given to Russia – not that they needed them anyway as they were jammed without any problem.

      • jorge

Nato superiority?! LOL. They are sinking in Syria, as any imbecile can see. It’s impossible to make psy ops when even the imbeciles can see the picture, but, good luck!

        • RichardD

Ignoring IAF fighters flying circles around Russian air defense systems on a pretty much daily basis, and attacking one of Russia’s primary allies with impunity where Russia’s only overseas base that I’m aware of is located. Isn’t something that a rational military analyst would do. But for someone with your history of posting gibberish, it isn’t surprising coming from you.

Have you been taking lessons from Jen Holms in how to appear stupid?

      • John Whitehot

if that’s the purpose than it’s a miserable fail, as the jets stay well outside Syrian airspace and leave at high speeds as soon as they dropped their munitions.

If they were to show any superiority they would fly undisturbed where they please, and above all, not release photoshopped pictures of imaginary iranian targets hit by a cut and paste attack.

        • RichardD

The SADF upgrades were to deter attacks originating outside of Syrian airspace, like the one that got those Russian airmen killed, by destroying the launch platforms. They haven’t deterred anything, the strikes are continuing as they were before. That’s the miserable failure.

          • John Whitehot

            Bullshit.
The incident of the IL-20 happened when a Israelli plane entered Syrian airspace from the sea.

Secondly, shooting down israeli planes over lebanon would be falling for a provocation, at least until they have launched weapons, something they do and then leave immediately.

Thirdly, strikes were never as fake as now, and they only serve to keep Netanhyau in power.

            “That’s the miserable failure.”

No, the miserable failure is that you’re a fucking zionist using a dead american identity and thinking you can get away with this shit.

          • RichardD

The SADF has fired antiaircraft missiles at IAF planes outside of Syrian airspace on numerous occasions. The recent upgrades were in response to the SADF not hitting those planes to correct that deficiency.

With the recent upgrades the SADF should know where the baby raper’s planes are and be able to target them from take off to landing. The FAILURE of the SADF upgrades to accomplish what they were implemented to do is plain for any rational person to see. That evidently doesn’t include you.

          • John Whitehot

“The SADF has fired antiaircraft missiles at IAF planes outside of Syrian airspace on numerous occasions”

Really – provide the targeting data. I am able to read it, so Shlomo, don’t fuck with me.
Secondly, that happened AFTER munition drop. When the SAMS get into the planes area, at the limit of their MEZ, the planes already have moved out of range.

“With the recent upgrades the SADF should know where the baby raper’s planes are and be able to target them from take off to landing”

So what? what part of “you can’t target other countries planes outside your territory IF they are not hostile? Hostility IS DETERMINED by the POSITIVE launch of munitions. By your logic:
What if mossad turns off the transponder of an airliner flying over Golan, and Syria shoots it down thinking it’s a military plane?

“The FAILURE of the SADF upgrades to accomplish what they were implemented to do is plain for any rational person to see. That evidently doesn’t include you.”

I am among the most rational people I know, it’s just bozos and serfs like you cannot manipulate me, and as soon as discussions gets a little technical it becomes very clear to me which side you’re on.

          • RichardD

Look idiot, your irrational lies and rantings are nonsense.

The missile that took down the IL-20 was fired at IAF F-16s over the sea. There are many reports of SADF antiaircraft missile launches at targets outside of Syrian airspace. The IL-20 downing is just one.

The S-300s have a range of up to 250 miles depending on what missiles that the tubes are loaded with. If they work they can take down 90% of IAF fighters anywhere in their flight path from take off to landing. Not doing so in the face of renewed attacks that they were deployed to deter is an indisputable demonstration of the failure of these systems deterrence value to date.

Any IAF fighter that poses a threat is a legitimate target. With their history, the ones stalking Syria’s borders are legal targets under international law. Lebanese negligence doesn’t absolve them from complicity in IAF attacks originating over Lebanon. Their refusal andor inability to secure their own airspace and to allow it to be used to attack Syria provides the SADF with legitimate justification under international law to interdict that threat in Lebanese airspace. And there’s nothing preventing the SADF from intercepting the IAF fighters before or after they are in Lebanese airspace, if they’re concerned about the risk to civilians and property posed by dropping IAF fighters into Lebanese territory.

Even if the SADF doesn’t act preemptively, they can drop these Jew planes over the sea, Israel or Lebanon after the attacks in self defense with zero violation of international law. It’s a no brainer. Do you have one? Are you pea brained, is it really that difficult to understand? You’re really a very stupid liar.

        • Patriotic_White_American

Was 7 dead Iranians at T4 a Photoshop?

Because Nasrallah doesn’t think so LOL

          • John Whitehot

I understand it’s difficult to talk right with a zionist dick up your mouth, but the nonsensical garbage you drop makes you well beyond any hope of ceasing being a laughstock

    • FlorianGeyer

      Well said John.

I would also think that the Syrians are not so dumb as to put lots of eggs in flimsy baskets to that the Israelis can bomb them.

This is all an act of macabre theatre by the peddlers of deception.

      • Zionism = EVIL

Cowardice only invites more attacks. The Syrians have nothing to lose if they made even a symbolic retaliation gesture at took out some Zionist military asset on the occupied Golan. The Zionists are not that invincible, believe me, they simply can not sustain a long term war of attrition as they are soft thugs used to luxury on western tax dollars and can not afford daily rocket attacks on Occupied Palestine. Hezbollah proved it in 2006, when it kept on hitting the Zionists for 33 days and shut the whole place down and made the Zionist scum cry uncle Sam.

        • RichardD

And the US didn’t lift a finger to help the Jews then, and is unlikely to do so now.

          • Zionism = EVIL

I agree, US will not lift a finger as it bogged down in growing internal problems, financial mess and global overstretch and is hardly in a position to start a regional war while China grows stronger by the day and US is universally disliked, even in Europe.

      • RichardD

Russia is currently the target of a vicious smear campaign supported by sanctions, economic warfare, and real warfare on or near it’s borders. Allowing the Jews to walk all over Russia’s allies when these attacks should be easily deterred is only fueling the anti Russia campaign to Russia’s detriment. Cowering to a bully only invites more abuse. With Russia’s history with Jews, they should understand this better than anyone.

      • RichardD

Some people think that going after the IAF will jepordise the US withdrawal. I’m not sure where you’re at on that. My view is that the S-300 deployment, which appear to be capable of operating as S-400s, along with the other SADF upgrades, is what caused Trump to decide to get out of Syria now. And that taking down IAF fighters is just going to reaffirm that he made the right decision. And that Israel’s escalation options are very limited in the event that they start losing planes and having their air bases destroyed in a measured manner that isn’t viewed as excessive under the circumstances.

        • FlorianGeyer

There is merit in what you say, however we are dealing with a USA that is controlled by Israeli interests and a large defeat for Israel would cause the clarion call to war from the Zionist dominated US government.

          • RichardD

I agree, but that has happened before numerous times without any direct US intervention when Israel actually was invaded and it’s existence threatened. Losing some planes and possibly having some bases destroyed in response to Israeli provocations, when there’s no invasion or threat of an invasion. And Trump is really starting to oppose the Jew’s permanent war project. Doesn’t rise to the standard of previous non interventions.

That’s no guarantee that it wouldn’t happen this time. But Christian Zionists only make up about 20% of the US population. Much of the rest of the other 80% has no desire to get involved in the Israeli quagmire. And Trump and the Pentagon are well aware of that. Anything is possible. But my view is that the risk of US intervention is low.

          • FlorianGeyer

The problem with Zionists of all persuasions is that they are very vocal and wave their flags about .

          • RichardD

That’s one of the reasons that a lot of people don’t like them. Particularly when it comes to spending our money and military for Israel. Which does nothing for us but cause problems.

          • FlorianGeyer

Zionists will be the death of America Richard.

            https://firstlook.org/wp-uploads/sites/1/2015/01/history1.png

          • RichardD

They’re well on their way, that’s for sure. Any nation that lets them gain control suffers the same fate.

      • John Whitehot

I know it’s not really ot, but when we as a public, perceive one entire side as being “dumb” or “smart” or whatever, we already have fallen into some kind of propaganda trap. Yet there’s lots of simpletons around saying “these are fools”, “these are smart”, “these are weak” and “these are strong”. It’s all bullshit.

Furthermore, it’s easy to speak “a posteriori”, perhaps commenting an article already written by a finkelstein – it’s another thing to be inside a decisional process and having to pick among options, maybe with little time.

That’s why I try to stay at the most general level on these things, and at that level I can say that Syria does it best to protect its people and country, while Israel is governed by mobster who are looking for land grabs, in order to get in more jewish immigrants (see the underreported news of hundreds of thousands of french jews invited to Israel last month, because “antiesmitism is too high in France”.

        • FlorianGeyer

At least France would be better off :)

The Squatter State will not survive if the US falls from her perch that is supported by Reserve Currency prop.

It is just a matter of when and I hope to see it before I die.
          Its worth living for :)

          • John Whitehot

idk abt France being better off, surely they should ask for reparation for any state provided education and the other services these people may have obtained in that country.

Not that something of the like would ever happen under Macron.

          • FlorianGeyer

The recent Libyan conflict was fermented by a Jewish French diplomat.
Arguably WW1 and WW2 were Jewish constructs, as well as the Napoleonic Wars.

          • John Whitehot

            “Jewish French diplomat.”

            Nikolas Sarkozy?

“Arguably WW1 and WW2 were Jewish constructs”

That is something that can be certainly deduced, especially ww2.
Nonetheless, we are manipulated already by zionists when we take historical documents at face value.

Certain parts of modern history completely lack reliable documents, as an example, the whole “purges” thing about Stalin, that really ended with the killing of Leo Trotsky – a jew that had tried taking control of the state.

          • FlorianGeyer

These days it is not as easy to erase documents as a few seconds of exposure can result in millions of copies worldwide.

Copies of Theresa May in East Germany as a 16 year old at New Year celebrations with Angela Merkel for instance and a rather saucy one of May and Merkel during the late 70’s as well, in East Germany in Summer on the Baltic Coast :)

Unless Syria retaliates it is inviting more attacks. Russia is weak and will not stand-up to Israel which is regional bully.

Israel is a terrorist state like ISIS state. Both have been created by US and GB. The Israel treatment is exist in Iskandar-M missile.

        • verner

and that is why all money transfers to israel should be prohibited (like money transfers to isis is prohibited) and you will see israel deflate to nothing in no time. no one needs israel but israel needs the world so the squeeze should be highly effective!

  • BPGSJLBDLSE

It is all part of Nuttyahoo’s re-election plan. Militarily, the strikes are insignificant, even embarrassing as the misssiles are taken out by S-125s and S-200s. However, in Israel Nutty will appear to be a ‘strong’ leader.

    • John Whitehot

when “strong” only coincides with being ruthless, you have a culture on its way to extinction.
the biblical “live by the sword etcetera” theme isn’t that wrong, not for reasons of “revenge” and bs, but because perpetual war will eventually destroy you even if you always win (which is not even the case of Israel, see Lebanon invasion).

  • John

    Garbage from BN, that’s all.

    • Zionism = EVIL

Not really, unfortunately the FACTS speak for themselves. The Syrians and their so-called fair weather “allies” have proved totally impotent so far and that has emboldened the Zionists who will only increase their attacks as the Americunts have given them a green light and are building more bases on the Syrian and Iraqi borders. The Russians are too weak and cowardly to act and in any case, Putin is in league with the Zionists whose military regularly visits Moscow and share intelligence.

      • jorge

Bla, bla, bla, and the caravan goes by.

      • d’Artagnan

Russia has never stood up for anyone and therefore has no friends. It is a weak state anyway, most CIS states are joining NATO, even Armenia is now looking west.

      • John

I have to disagree, it is much more complicated than that and BN has little room to maneuver, outside of meaningless strikes.

  • Lazy Gamer

That is an act of war. Iran has claimed that it has missiles that can reach any part of Israel. Any alleged Iranian base in Syria is of minor importance due to the above capability. Israel just wants to extend the Syrian conflict. lol

    • Joe

One cannot believe that Iran to have missiles aim at israel . Either Iran are bluffing or they are cowards

      • FlorianGeyer

You confuse bravery with chest thumping Joe.

    • Joe

One thing about Iran .. they talked alot and boost about how powerful their weapons are .

But seldom you see them in action … mostly bluff is my opinion.
They cannot even prevent a single Israeli air strike against their positions.

      • FlorianGeyer

Iranian missiles fired from Iran were use in Deir Ezzor twice with good effect .

      • How do we know that these actually were Iranian and not Syrian targets, how can Bibi tell that an arms depot in Damascus is Iranian? He just calls it Iranian to justify the air strike.

  • jaimeintexas

What is happening in the ground elsewhere and in the political front, that Israel wants to sidetrack Assad?

These airstrike war crimes by the baby rapers are aimed at Russia. To show that Russian weapons are ineffective, and that Russia cowers in fear of the evil Jews and sells it’s allies out to them when pressured to do so. They’re used to fuel the anti Russia campaign that the Jews and their NATO sycophants are running against Russia to isolate and weaken it for take over. It a similar manner to what they did with their nightmare Bolshevik Jew Russian Revolution. And remove it as an impediment to their Jew world order hostile take over hegemony project.

The global balance of power would change if the SADF using Russian equipment started taking down these IAF fighters and the Syrian government coalition destroyed the IAF bases that these attacks are originating from on an as needed basis to deter a continuation of aggression by the Jews. Secret Russian proprietary technology transfer and conflict escalation management may be the reasons that this hasn’t been done yet. Or it may be that the non combat proven Russian equipment like the S-300s doesn’t perform as advertised against NATO equipment and is incapable of performing as advertised. And the Russians don’t want to reveal this to their weapons customers and adversaries.

Whatever the reason or combination of reasons are. Right now the Jews have the Russians on the defensive, and are showing that the Russians can be coerced, intimidated and humiliated into submission to criminal Jew aggression and machinations.

This doesn’t change the fact that overall the Russians and their allies are indisputably winning the Syrian war. However, even a complete victory in Syria where the Syrian government regains all of it’s lost territory and eradicates the terrorist problem on it’s soil. That’s still a big loss to the Jews who suffered almost no damage and will continue their Yinon plan machinations to keep the region mired in turmoil. And it will take Syria a decade at a minimum to recover completely from the conflict.

This outcome would be substantially altered in Russia’s and humanity’s favor if not only does Syria win the war, which is now an almost certain outcome if the US does in fact withdraw. But also changes the parameters of regional and international security by demonstrating that the Jews no longer pose a military threat to the region and humanity, by stopping the Jew attacks on Syria and showing that the NATO equipment is inferior and ineffective against Russian equipment.

And would make the next phase of correcting the region’s and humanity’s Jew problem. By clearing the IDF and Israeli government out of the territories that they currently illegally occupy in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and possibly Jordan. And policing the implementation of the UN resolutions that Israel is in perpetual scofflaw violation of, such as the right of return, so that Israel can be voted out of existence, and Palestine can be dejudified and unified to replace Israel at the UN as a full member with it’s territory intact.

And would make the next phase of correcting the region’s and humanity’s Jew problem much easier.

Russia’s military doesn’t have the spine to directly confront Israel let alone the US, that’s been obvious for a long time

Israel has lost their war on Syria. These pin-pricks mean nothing in the big picture, and escalating the war now doesn’t make sense from Syrian point of view. But what these strikes tell us is that the israeli assets inside Syria have gone from fake islamic insurgents to pure clandestine operators merely providing intel on targets inside Syria. There is a big chance that these “targets” are mostly bogus. Some targets may be real, but hitting them with a stand-off weapon is just a wing and a prayer. The main hazard is for civilians i.e. they are terrorism – militarily they are of no significance at all. These strikes only serve israeli internal propaganda.

Poor Benji, the US is pulling out, Erdogan still hates him, and the old reliable Saudis have been demoted to the bottom of the Arab League and can’t help him, so who’s left for him to depend on now, no one, all his old friends have deserted him. He might actually have to start doing what all the other countries have had to do, make friends and cooperate with their regional neighbours, and do it on an equal footing, Putin’s in a much better position to help him do that now than the US is, :].
Iran’s waiting, they’re the ones the deal has to be done with, it’s time to knuckle down and get to business, there is no longer a choice in the matter, it’s now unavoidable, a regional war that will actually involve Israel this time, or regional peace and prosperity are the only 2 options, I don’t think there’s anything in between any longer, just a simple 2 way choice, Putin’s also in a better position to do this than the US is.
It’s funny, back in 2003 the US/Israeli deep state and it’s media puppets began a frenzied campaign to demonize Putin, and by 2006 had also included Russia in the demonization process. The media tried it’s hardest to isolate Putin and Russia from the rest of the world, and to some extent it worked, we now have a very polarized opinion of Putin and Russia, you either like them or hate them, but it didn’t work completely.
But now after 16 years, I see the Israelis are the ones being isolated from everyone else, they’re losing all their old reliable partners, I wonder if it’s just by a coincidence of current events, or could there possibly be some payback attached as well, if it’s just a coincidence, it’s worked out very well for Putin, this gives him even more influence around the world than he ever had back in 2003. It’s funny how things work out.

Those cowering in fear of the Jews and the risk of escalation if the SADF takes down the baby raper’s planes, and the Syrian government coalition destroys the air bases that the Jews are launching their war crimes from. Should take into consideration that not only has the SADF already taken down IAF aircraft, and the Syrian government coalition has already hit multiple IDF bases. That during the 2006 Lebanon war Israel was hit with thousands of rockets:

“During the war, the Hezbollah rocket force fired between 3,970 and 4,228 rockets at a rate of more than 100 per day …

Cities hit were Haifa, Hadera, Nazareth, Tiberias, Nahariya, Safed, Shaghur, Afula, Kiryat Shmona, Beit She’an, Karmiel, Acre, and Ma’alot-Tarshiha, as well as dozens of towns, kibbutzim, moshavim, and Druze and Israeli-Arab villages. …

Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz ordered commanders to prepare civil defense plans. One million Israelis had to stay near or in bomb shelters or security rooms, with some 250,000 civilians evacuating the north and relocating to other areas of the country.”

My view is that the risk of escalation, assuming that the Russian equipment that the SADF has works properly, is pretty limited. And the same goes for US intervention. In theory the Jews would like t open up another front in the Syrian war to slow down or reverse the progress that the Syrian government coalition is making. But in practice the price that the Jews would pay is high. Not only in the destruction of their top of the line equipment and facilities. But also in the destruction of the IDF invincibility myth revealing just how militarily vulnerable they really are. Especially against a nuclear weapons armed adversary.
