On Thursday, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies recaptured al-Hazm area north, and northwest of al-Qaryatayn town in the southern Homs countryside, according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria.

The SAA also capture several positions that overlook the town east of it.

The media outlet also released an official statement saying that the fighters who took over al-Qaryatayn town week ago are not only from ISIS. According to the statement the sleeper cells who took over the town included fighters from Liwa Shuhada al-Qaryatayn and Liwa Shuhada Mahin.

Both Liwa Shuhada al-Qaryatayn and Liwa Shuhada Mahin are considered “moderate” Free Syrian Army (FSA) groups. Moreover, the US-led coalition had claimed before that it suspended its support for Liwa Shuhada al-Qaryatayn. However, the group is still active under the US-led coalition protection in al-Tanaf area near the Syrian-Iraqi border.

The Hezbollah media wing statement stressed that al-Qaryatayn town was captured mainly by US-backed Liwa Shuhada al-Qaryatayn and Liwa Shuhada Mahin, and not ISIS. According to the media outlet, ISIS took advantage of this situation and claimed responsibility for the attack.

However, there is no doubt that ISIS was also a part of the attack along with Liwa Shuhada al-Qaryatayn and Liwa Shuhada Mahin, as it was the first to know about the attack and to report it. The Hezbollah media wing also confirmed that the SAA is preparing to launch a counter attack to eliminate the sleeper cells inside the town and to recapture it.

Meanwhile, a source in the SAA told South Front that the armed opposition group Jaysh al-Islam shelled the positions of ISIS fighters in Mhassa mount south of al-Qaryatayn town from its positions in the Eastern Qalamoun region on Thursday. However, the source denied that there is any coordination between the SAA and Jaysh al-Islam regarding the situation in al-Qaryatayn.

getting clearer what a terrible mess the illegitimate yankees/scumbags are encouraging in syria … nevertheless the russian led coalition will be able to get rid of all zio satanic terrorists, effectively ievitably

  • Lone Wolf

I have got Two strikes on my YouTube account .. just ‘cos I uploaded the recent Russian Special forces in action when they came to aid of those 29 Russian MPS .. video clip recently….
Another video clip blocked was one of when the ISIS terrorist tried to attack SAA … and one of ISIS Terrorist was squealing and screaming like a little girl and looked pathetic ‘cos he was soo afraid that SAA tank was gonna blow that modified armoured vehicle .. it was like that ABU HAJEER video clip …
Obviously .. YouTube do not like ISIS looking bad nor putting Russians in good light .. so go figure ..

if you put isis on web, you will go in prison

      • Lone Wolf

        what for … ?

        • Solomon Krupacek

          propagation of terrism.
this was decided in north atlantic civilisation. you will read about this later. but i think, also russia and china will not tolerate and allow.

          so, be careful

          • Lone Wolf

I was trying to upload videos of ISIS getting fucked … something the world needs more of to see to brighten their day.. !! I only wish that a lot of the clips that I have watched over the years .. I had saved .. lol ..

      • Deo Cass

These are videos against ISIS not in favor of them. ISIS have free access to you tube and have a section linked to their so called news agency, ‘Amaq.’ So you mean to say that those who expose terrorists and who truly handles them should be censored or even arrested, while the terrorists themselves are free to propagate their hate messages and scare mongering?

        • Solomon Krupacek

i dont think so, i reported only about plans.

in uk you will get 15years for opening of terrorist site.

I think all the YouTube and Google Executives along with all the Facebook and Go Daddy boards should all be incarcerated and they should fire anyone who violates infringement of freedom of information act and Free speech laws.

      • Bob

Actually, that doesn’t really apply to Twitter or You Tube, who have both hosted a raft of accounts that have uploaded pro-jihadi material from range of salafist factions operating in Syria – including ISIS.

        • Solomon Krupacek

will be applied. the ne paragraphs are under preparing

          • Bob

But notably, they rather ignored it all from 2012 until the present – the policy is now changing just as the salafist axis in Syria is on verge of collapsing and no longer of much proxy value.

  • Alex

Well, well, there you go USIS, lol.

  • goingbrokes

These FSA factions earlier on wanted to fight against daesh, but now they are fighting with them. Did something get lost in the translation? And where did I hear that scenario before… oh yeah, with the SDF!

    • Jasminko Grdic

Now you know why the SDF have so HARD to fight IS, sunday Spanzierfest for them. because all are in Cetral Syria fighting SAA and Hezbolah.
The drone that killed this Hezbolah fighters was discovered by his support mission on T3 and needed to attack Hezbolah, but some survived

    • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The FSA just recently around Al Tanf announced their Allegiance to ISIS so now the US has their ISIS to fight and if they refuse then we now they are in full cooperation with them.

  • Deo Cass

Hym! Jaish al-Islam is directly supported by Saudi Arabia. The Saudi monarch is on an official visit to Moscow to meet president Putin and signed commercial and military lucrative deals with Russia including for the supply of S400’s. Jaish al-Islam leader Alloush is heading the so called Riyadh ‘moderate opposition’ delegation in Asatana and Geneva. Am I the only one seeing a connection here?

    • Weldon Cheek

Isnt that a good thing? Any force that fights against U.S/ISRAELI backed terror group is a great result.

    • Jeff Lewin

Erdogan has long been a maverick, but I would not trust the Saudis to keep US spies away from any Russian antiaircraft missiles they acquire.

    • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The S-400 deal has been not approved or anything else as everything is still in negotiation and already nixed by the Kremlin FSB, MoD, so nothing there really.

  • Gary Sellars

” According to the statement the sleeper cells who took over the town included fighters from Liwa Shuhada al-Qaryatayn and Liwa Shuhada Mahin.”

The meaning is clear. No more clemency or relocations. The SAA must KILL each and every terrorist they capture. No mercy, simply exterminate.

  • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Warned everyone about Al Tanf being where they came from , had the usual trolls deny it since it’s confirmed told you so. :p

  • dutchnational

Reported already earlier that 200 “reconciliated” fighters were involved.

As far as I know the pocket is still there. To try linking up with the north of Dhurayn pockets seems logical.

    Feasable?
