ATO has been ongoing for eight years and has resulted in the appearance of a few hundred thousand Russian troops on what was Ukrainian territory and the loss of thousands of square km of that territory. That big orange crescent in the SE did not exist when the ATO started. At this rate the Russians should be defeated to the point that they only hold territory as far west as Marseille when this conflict ends.
