This map provides a general look at the military situation in Syria’s northern Hama on October 10. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) is still in control of the village of Abu Dali and the nearby hill that they have seized from government forces.

    In short, no real developments visible. Neither at Mayadin, Qaryatayn, DeZ and elsewhere.

      I agree. If there’s no change in the situation on the ground, why bother with a new map? I might as well pop over to Livemap for that.

      Maybe a more interesting question to explore in an article is why Al Qaida continues to launch Hama offensive after Hama offensive, like some Islamic General Melchett, when the Turks are massing in its rear? Shouldn’t that be a bigger worry to Al Qaida, rather then waste lives and resources on this front?

        All these Terrorist factions did was kidnap loot and execute people because they are Syrians at heart. There are many foreigners in these region and they should be all expelled or executed once Syria is secured. There are still ongoing battles in this region and hopefully the NDF and the tribals can regain the area and keep pushing them back.
