A brief overview of the recent developments in Nagorno-Karabakh:
- On December 29, about 200 Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh started combat training exercises at the equipped training grounds at Stepanakert and Martakert;
- On December 28, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense released photos, names, surnames, and other information on 2823 Azerbaijani soldiers who were killed in the Karabakh war;
- On December 28, 3 Azerbaijani soldiers were reportedly injured by an anti-tank mine blast near Hadrut;
- On December 28, 4 Armenian and 2 Azerbaijani POWs were exchanged between the two countries thanks to the Russian mediation.
