Military Situation In Iraqi City Of Mosul On June 13, 2017 (Map Update)

Iraqi security forces (ISF) have been still struggling to retake the strategic Old Mosul area from ISIS terrorists in the city of Mosul. According to the Iraqi military, some 500 local ISIS members and 250 foreingers remain the ISIS-held area. ISF representatives forecast that the whole Mosul city will be liberated by ISIS in late June or in July.

    Should try and split the two neighbourhood​s up , take the road which leads to the fifth bridge I bet if they could do that it would be alot quicker,I wonder why they are not attacking from every direction that is what I would do maybe they are not sure !!

      They are fighting nearly at point blank range with ISIS and dealing with booby traps and human bombs and an occasional car bomb. If they move anywhere too fast they are going to increase their causalities and also endanger more civilians. What amazes me is that iSIS must have stashed enormous stockpiles of ammo and explosives in the old city. After being cut off for so long you would thing ISIS would run out of ammo.
