- The Taliban established full control of the Arghanj Khwa district, Badakhshan province;
- The Talibah made several attempts to amubsh a convoy of the First Vice President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum on its way from Balkh to Jawzjan province via the Mazar-Sheberghan highway. At least one bodyguard was killed and two others were wounded. Gen Dostum remained unhurt;
- Up to 30 pro-government fighters have lost their lives in recent clashes in the provinces of Ghazni and Badakhshan, according to pro-government sources;
- The Taliban claimed that 4 army troops were killed and 3 others were wounded in an attack on the Jawand district.
