Pro-government forces have liberated the village of Batha in southern Aleppo and repelled a series of attacks by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) southwest of Abu al-Duhur. Meanwhile, ISIS units have attempted to reach the government-held village of Sinjar and but failed to achieve this goal. ISIS has been only able to enter the village of Duwayah.

Damn, that Daesh pocket was so small but look at it now how big it became.

    • Behold a Pale Horse

Just the usual suspects changing uniforms again.

      • Gary Sellars

They change uniforms more often than they change socks… though IS/HTS orcs probably don’t wear socks…

    • HTS is fleeing the cauldron so Daesh is filling a vacuum. The advances against SAA are 99.9% Twitter Jihad.

      • FlorianGeyer

        “Twitter Jihad.”

That is an excellent description Richard :)

    • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Many ISIS sleeper cells in HTS and other factions.

    • Jason Sixx

It will be eliminated like the salamiyah pocket. What still worries me till this day is how even the tigers are static without an air force and how the deir ez zor / homs desert pocket cant be tended to at the moment because of manpower so its easy to expect another powerful counterattack on sukhnah palmyra abukamal mayadin etc at any moment … the kind where they magically appear out of nowhere with help from the us forces stationed at the tanf pocket and border area

      • Rob

        Absolutely you are right.

  • Richard Noel Hedditch

The SAA and its allies eating into the United Nations Jihadi pocket in Idlib. The Greater Israel project being rolled back. Bad news for those snap-nosed Euro Whities. The Cubans give organised crime the boot in 1959. The Vietnamese destroy Pentagon narcotics trafficking in Indo-China by 1975. The Iranians eliminate CIA / mafia interests in Iran in 1979. Now its Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon being purged of Lawrence of Arabia’s Zionist Wahabbism.

    • Bolter10

Hahahah, you put it well. On Vietnam, did you ever wonder how much the US communications was read by the russians affter the Pueblo capture and the walker spy?

      • Jim Prendergast

You really have to credit the Vietnamese themselves with the Intelligence advantage over the U.S. They were magnificent.

        • Bob

In late 1960’s the Soviets received the mother lode of US Naval communication codes from a US spy. Soviet’s had capacity to pass US Navy communications to North Vietnamese and China – and did so in measure – so as to not alert US Navy that their carrier borne aircraft missions were an open secret.

  • You can call me Al

Hold on, yesterday the SAA were attacking the pocket from the South, where have they gone ?

    • Jason Sixx

Theyre everywhere, depends on what is needed from cent com they pressure or stop

  • Wahid Algiers
  • Xanatos

I hope SAA learned their lesson. Never make temporary alliances with Isis. They are your enemy.
