ANHA reports this morning (thus after the 24 hours old first turkish reports, that after heavy fighting the attack was repelled, a tank destroyed by a suicide attack by a 20yo YPJ female fighter, and over 50 attackers dead.

I tend to believe SDF info more then the Turkish media that are forbidden to publish anything negative about the Turkish invasion of Afrin.

Several other attacks have been repelled to, not mentioned here but sometimes (as in here) shown on the map.

After a week of fighting, turks and their mercenaries still could not take Mount Barsaya and one can hope SDF will shell the hospital of Azaz, used by the bearded ones as an artillery position (even as far back as a year or more ago when SF showed a movie of a SDF tank destroyed by missiles fired from the flat roof of the hospital), again. Using civilian positions like schools and hospitals as fighting positions is a warcrime.

However, as of when have Turkey and the bearded ones cared about warcrimes when they were the ones committing them?

    • Cem Kurtoglu

impossible to destroy a tank with a suicide vest, a suicide vest weights 20 kilograms max.
which is not enough to blow up a battle tank.
the turkish army now controls most of the mountain and will probably control the entire mountain in the next week.
50 attackers dead? sounds just as realistic as a suicide bomber blowing up a battle tank with a suicide vest:)

      • dutchnational

It was not a suicide vest. It was a handgranate. Throw one trough the open hatched or into the barrel and the tank is gone. Will cost you your life though, which is what happened.

As far as the 50 attackers, I was not there, neither were you. It is a known fact that in 2016 TFSA lost over 80 in just one ambush when SDF forces struck an ammo truck surrounded by the nearded ones. So when you state impossible, I say that it already ,pics available, happened earlier, disproving thereby your comment.

        • Mike

YPG also claumed they shot down a f16 with rpg and shot down several helicopters. They also said they captured swveral fsa fighters which was also proven fake. Image was from ISIS. They also claimed several tanks shot yet one vid was stolen from FSA against SAA T55 tank and the other was a total failure. So far they lied about everything possible and never provided evidence. Just lies anfd poor propaganda tk boosg their moral. Now yoh claim she destroyed a tank with a granade and at thr same time killed 20 also with granades. Lol. Do you believe anything out of your mouth? Sound like anothet communist rambo fantasy to me.turkey already showed dozens dead ypg fighters. Ypg recycles old footage from diffrent factions. They even showed dead armenian soldiers from 2016 krabah war and claimed they are turkish. Its getting pretty pathetic by now…

        • Solomon Krupacek

          you lie

          • dutchnational

            see above.

          • Mike

Look at your article retard its from 2016. you YPG guys are even to retarded to lie! So far every YPG propaganda image and post was debunked. There is even a whole turkish facebook site dedicated to expose your lies with hard solid evidence. So far YPG took images from ukrainian, yemen, armenian karabah, FSA vs SAA war footage and claimed they are dead rurkish forces. All exposed! YPG liars think if they go to the early years of wars 2011-2014 and take their footage nobody will notice XD the truth is YPG is loosing badly and their moral is going down. Thats why they desperatly try to create fake victories. Such as turkish jet shot down with rpg by hero ypj fighter XDDD

          • dutchnational

Read before you foam at the mouth.

In my comment I gave an example and even said it was from 2016.

            So your problem is………………?

        • Cem Kurtoglu

could you show me the pictures of the 80 killed personel? no you can’t because you are talking out of your ass.
they never showed pictures of the 80 killed soldiers so nice try again.
i saw the pictures they showed the pictures of 2 killed turkish soldiers and also the id of another killed soldier in 2018.
do you have proof of the ypg terrorist that threw the grenade in the barrel?
no you don’t just another claim by the ypg to make there fighters look good.
this is not a regular tank it is a tank of the turkish army which means it is getting supported by infantry, no way that a terrorist can run up to a tank open the hatch and throw a grenade in it, when there is personel around the vehicle.
love how you ypg fanboys always make claims that only happen in movies.
btw you might check your sources anha and anf are not very independent.

It were the pics with a trailer woth over 60 dead bodies of TFSA fighters. You can find it easily on internet.

PYD parades bodies of FSA fighters in Syria’s Afrin – Anadolu Agency
            aa.com.tr/en/todays-headlines/pyd-parades-bodies-of-fsa-fighters…afrin-/563405
Apr 29, 2016 – The sources said that the terrorist PYD group repelled the FSA and it brought about 50 dead bodies of FSA members to Afrin, which is close to Ayn-Dakna. A resident in Afrin told Anadolu Agency that the PYD transported the bodies in an open top trailer. The militants also reportedly posted the images on …

          • Mike

The article is from 2016. the thing about you lying YPG twitter propagandists is you are even to retarded to do that, let alone fught ! ou and your kind are just pathetic! Moral boost needed ? Are you so desperate because of your failure and 450 deads that you guys have to lie all the time ???

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Mohamed calm down Turkey lost heavily in 2016 against ISIS and the Kurds, it was only a negotiation by Syrian Govt that saved them back then. Then again look how treacherous both Kurds and Turks really are. Turkey is bad for suppressing the truth and it’s people, Kurds are no different in dispossessing Arabs of their lands and trying to Kurdify them.

          • OmerAytac

Turkey is in Afrin to “Arabify” the region.. So what is your problem? is the 3 million Arab refugees coming back to their own land that worries you??

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

What kind of bullshit are trying to pull the Turks are over ambitious little Neo Ottomans, they have no intention of honoring anything. They are just using this as an excuse to colonize and land grab again, and if they allowed the return of the 2.1 million Syrians and Iraqis to their northern regions, would settle things easier.

Would rather see Erdogan replaced and executed in the same manner as Saddam was and Turkey being torn apart by Civil strife, would love to see the return of Europeans to the Anatolie , would be great to really see.

          • OmerAytac

Anatolia is already European.. Ottoman my ass. that’s a typical Baathist ASSadist rhetoric which means nothing. If you are really want to be worried, be worried about becoming zionist’s slaves. Then you will be running to the “Ottoman” border crying for help. Don’t worry though, Turks will be welcoming you too, like they welcome everyone running away from tyrants.

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The whole entire region was European as was all of Turkey.

Wow you and your crying about Baathist, ASSadist, typical Antifa argument and western media creation of the proverbial strawman.

Assuming Israel is strong enough on their own which is highly unlikely , and their is a grass roots movement in the US to start ending subsidies to Israel. Israel without those subsidies would go broke and be unable to maintain it’s poorly trained army.

No one runs to the Tyrant Turks unless you want to be held hostage by the dictator Turdodog!!

          • OmerAytac

israel is not strong, syria is weak. you trust “grass roots movements” to save yourself?? funny.
3 million syrians are now living with the “tyrant turks” :DD many have integrated into society and some are very successful. shoe making was industrialized and hand made shoes were forgotten – times change and now syrian shoemakers are now in high demand. they make money and live without FEAR OF OPPRESSION. I have a Nusayri girlfriend who has never seen Syria. And she never wants to.

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

They were forced to work s they told the teachers and everybody you can no longer work because you are not citizens. You lie more than anyone else Turd. The only oppression they feel is at the hands of Turds like you. I had a Turkish girlfriend she hated Turkey she says it’s the most oppressive culture and society. Wonder why so many Turks leave, millions have left and many don’t want anything to do with it.

Why did you bring up your Shia girlfriend who has only known Turkey , her family has never known Syria, be thankful she would leave you.

          • OmerAytac

1- of course you can not go to any country and be a teacher /lawyer /doctor from the first day idiot.. but for example there are 1000s of Iranians that came during the 80s and now doctors etc. 2- shia and nusayri are completely different – and if you dont know that then just go and die. 3- I didn’t say my GF doesn’t know syria, they have relatives in latakia and her brothers travel there. 4- can you give me this turkish girfriends’ facebook link? I just want to see if you’re not farting out of you mouth.
BTW you sound pissed. Cheers di*ckhead! (I did not write anything bad about Syria or Syrians but you insult a whole nation. that’s because I believe societies or countries are not the problem – but individuals like you are)

          • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Yes Turkey is such a stalwart in democracy and leader of women’s rights , many came as doctors and such already. Now the Syrian Teachers were teaching Syrian students not Turkish students, you try to conflate much. Nusayri are an Alawi sect ,there was no Facebook when we broke up. Looking at Countries like yours gives one great pause to take you seriously. Iran is by the far more advanced than Turkey in terms of openness they boast the most females in sciences today doubling that of the US.

Seems the only on mad is you as you choose insults in your arguments , I am free to insult a government Osmani and when you act like a turd or shit then you get called for it.

          • OmerAytac

in which tangable calcuable way is Iran more advanced than Turkey? “Openness” ?? Woman are still trying to resist the mullah to not wear head scarves in public. By the way I like Iran – they are much better than Arab states. They know how to run institutions . And the supreme leader speaks as good Turkish as any Turk.

          • dutchnational

Yes, I even said that in my comment. Maybe you read before you comment.

          • Anthony Paul Mapes

Actually even with infantry support it is possible to get that close, you just have to look at previous wars too see.
Granted it could just be proper gander but regardless still possible!

          • OmerAytac

possibilities are endless. but the non-possibility is more a possibility in cases like these.

          • Anthony Paul Mapes

Yes it could just be proper gander (highly probable), I wouldn’t say probabilities are endless as this is a proven infantry tactic! However Kurdish insurgents in turkey normally film such endeavours, lack ther of evidence (pictures, video) would suggest a more negative outcome of success!
I’m merely stating it can happen and is a proven tactic.

          • OmerAytac

proven in which circumstances? the word “proven” scientifically means it should hold 100% of the time. if 100 men with grandes attacked 1 tank (tank must be by itself – no one around, open hatch etc) and one of them got to blow up the tank – might have succeeded – still not 100% sure). 1 man/woman in a middle of a military confrontation blowing up a tank with a granade? simply no.

          • Anthony Paul Mapes

You can’t hold war to scientific view point that’s just absurd!
Battle of Moscow, Stalingrad, Kursk, Berlin, Algiers, Italian campaign, bastong, Manchuria, iwojima, Korean conflict (Japanese and North Koreans would play dead).
Instances were also reported in the soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the 1st Chechen war, there is nothing new about this tactic it is tried and proven. Granted not 100% hence why I said that without the evidence then it’s just probably propaganda!

        • You can call me Al

There is a new article stating this on here. I still don’t get it, is this the same tank that we saw the manpad or missile shot at or a new one ?.

Also as I am ignorant of war, but how can a hand grenade thrown into the tank, kill the women.

          • Anthony Paul Mapes

Suicide attack might not just meen blowing ones self up, more over could meen a suicidal attack meaning dying whilst accomplish your goal!
Could be that the article has a grammatical error.
As for grenades down the barrel would certainly disable the gun but not take out the tank. If it was a suicide vest and the attacker managed to get inside the tank then I don’t see why it wouldn’t take out the tank!

          • You can call me Al

            Thanks.

          • dutchnational

You have to be very close so either the explosion will kill you or the enemies that are around the tank. No solitary tank will ever attack any position without supportive infantry.

    • Solomon Krupacek

by a suicide attack by a 20yo YPJ female fighter,

kurdish jihadist? KILL THEM! ALL OF THEM!

    • leon mc pilibin

Bombing civilians,Schools and Hospitals is a war crime ok,,but thats a favourite pastime of the israhellis, usa and saudis. But the MSM never calls them war crimes.I wonder is that because the zionist control the fake news media??

  • Anthony Paul Mapes

Do you not think when looking at the situation and the lack of support shown to afrin Kurds that they would just swallow ther pride and re-itragate into Syrian social and military society!
Remembering not long ago in allepo when they worked hand in hand to defend the city, granted a lot of this was consequence to broken US promises and somewhat turkey stopping the link up of Kurdish areas. Logically you would think this would be a more appropriate outcome and give them a actual strong political position in a post war Syria…

    • Skagos

Are you insane? They are US’s proxy dude. What makes you think they are capeable of taking decisions on their own?

      • Anthony Paul Mapes

I don’t think you read my comment properly! I clearly defined my points notably pointing out the difference between Kurds within the Afrin to the SDF held east where they enjoy increasing political and military support from the US. Also I make the notation that Kurds within the allepo Afrin area have cooperated militarily with the SAA, this is why I came up with the conclusion that it would be within there best interests and self preservation to ones again cooperate with the Syrian government!

Hope this has cleared up or explained my original post!

        • Skagos

And you still didn’t get my point; Kurds in Aleppo or in Afrin, doesn’t matter where they are, they take the orders from US and are incapable of taking decisions on their own. Otherwise, they would surrender the small pocket in Aleppo wayyyyy before anything. US is probably telling them to keep it for an exchange of lands in the post-ISIS era.

          • Anthony Paul Mapes

I get your point, however I think there is two distinctions between the Kurdish forces, based off there past interactions with the SAA!

    • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Syrian Govt wants them to give up their insurgency and surrender their arms and leave Aleppo if they don’t want to go back to being civilians.Since they told them what is offered and nothing less or more they made the same offer to the Muslim Brotherhood in the 80’s. Syrians don’t like treachery as back then it was even backed by the US. Kurds are part of an insurgency and not a real partner to deal with as they are as treacherous as the Turkish snakes.

      • Anthony Paul Mapes

Terra cotter woolpuller I would like to ask, do you see a difference between the two Kurdish areas as I do?
Culturally the same but vastly different concerning the political and military support given by the US!

How would you perceive the previous cooperation between the Afrin Kurds and the SAA?
Could the pressure of the Turkish assault be a better solution to there political problems concerning the SAA?

        • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The cooperation is currently is more about humanity than political policy this is still to allow them a chance to give up their insurgency. Syria didn’t want the poor offer from the YPG/SDF, which in no way would have been a good position for Syria, a token force and no real government control. That is still a recipe for disaster and that would be a poor decision that would have said the insurgency was ok.

The PYD know they wouldn’t be able to win an election under the current constitution and political unrest among the populace in the regions. With their Ethno led Government only giving minor positions to the majority has reflected poorly on their racism in their government. This type of Federalism never worked and will always fail, on these premises.

Turkey is on it’s own agenda and will continue to expand as they are more interested in reviving the crumbled and corrupt Ottoman Government. They play so many sides in this conflict and yet they always are not afraid to show their true ambitions and intentions.

The SAA and it’s allies are limited to what they can do in this and their hands are tied by the unpredictable nature of the US.

          • Anthony Paul Mapes

Very nicely put, and I whole heartedly agree on your statement on federalisation!

  • Graeme Rymill

“Al-Qaeda affiliate group Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat
al-Nusra) is fighting alongside pro-Ankara forces – led by the Turkish

    • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Disguised Al Qaeda forces, HTS units are participating along with other Terrorist factions backed by NATO so this is a NATO operation of terrorist proxies against terrorist proxies! George Carlin would have had a field day with this, lol.
