Map Update: Military Situation In Abu al-Duhur Area Following Major Advance By Syrian Army

Donate

On January 31, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Tiger Forces liberated over a dozen villages from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in the area of Abu al-Duhu in eastern Idlib. Pro-government sources describe this advance as a part of wider effort to reach the miltiant-held town of Saraqib. However, most likely the SAA and its allies will contribute additional efforts to liberating the southern Aleppo countryside before the push towards Saraqib.

    Good job SAA.
    ON TO SARAQIB !

    • Terra Cotta Woolpuller

They are taking names of towns and villages liberated only, reason why HTS is running. They captured the point that was scouted by Turkey last week and now will take the other, will Turkey choose another place that will be swiftly taken also. Kefraya and Fuo’a are about 15 km away and Saraqib 11 km hopefully they will cut of Turkish forces in aiding their proxies in these soon to be made pockets. ISIS hama pocket is being dissected also and Harasta is on the list also.

A bulge is forming north of Al Duhur, that’s what he is talking about.

Well, it’s a small area and the HTS are running so I don’t see a pocket being formed there.

      • Astar Roth

Northeast feom Abu Al Duhur. It will take somw time, but if SAA wants that it will be another pocket there.

Turkish must be send home by force, there will be not other way. I hope Russia help with this situation, even the exist commercial links between Russia-Turkey

(Turkey knew how to neutralize Russia).

Anadolu revealed that Erdogan briefed Putin on the ongoing Turkish Army military operation against the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the Afrin area, which was launched on January 20. The news agency didn’t provide details regarding the information that was shared with the Russian president.

The phone call echoes the strengthing Russian-Turkish coordination in Syria and proves that the relationship between the two countries were not affected by the latest development in northern Syria as some pro-opposition sources had suggested.

That’s Putin’s “I don’t really like this guy’s face, but what can I do”. Never trust what’s is presented in the media things move to fast in the background.

Syria needs to start re allocating men from the NDF to the SAA.

Now that most of the country is back under government control, and front lines haves been shortened and can be sealed again, it is no longer necessary to have so many NDF forces protecting local cities. These soldiers are withering under timid NDF officers who have zero initiative.

There is no point in posting maps which are supposed to show towns and villages captured and then printing the names of the towns and villages over the map. The detail of the map cannot be seen through the writing.

Wonderful, real progress is being made by Syrian militia-however it is imperative the rothschild oil conglomerate called GENEL, who have set up the most barbaric oil extraction process ever devised-in occupied golan. April 2017 they turned on rock oil sequestration heaters and expect it to be 3 years until ground is heated to 700 degrees in golan. No creature can survive 700 degree oil vapour mist, it must be shut down and all rothschilds genel garbage flushed.

I really don’t know why they just don’t carpet bomb Hell out of them in those little pockets?
